Hi, I love my Sonos Ace, and use them for more than a year on a daily basis, but I just find out that the ear cushions can be damaged on the side by normal use and wondering if there is any possible mantainance product I can buy or use to maybe lubricate them and will not start deteriorating since I plan to have them and keep using them for a long time.

Maybe its the weather, or maybe sometimes when I use them during summer, my they are humid when I take them off, but have had taken care of this by using a dry towel to clean them before returning them to their case, and sometimes leave the case open until this have completely dry.

Any suggestions or advises will be appreciated

Thank You!

You seem to be doing all  the right things. I believe Sonos is aware that the pads will deteriorate over time how quickly depends upon use and care. That said you can purchase replacement pads on the Sonos website. The additional care you might consider is a neutral leather conditioner applied occasionally between your maintenance regiment.

@AjTrek1  appreciated your prompt reply and really valuable comments. I will take your comments and suggestions and keep them as safe, clean and nice as possible, if not now I know I can buy replacement pads.

Appreciate you take the time, my best regards from Mexico City

In case you have not noticed, the earpads are attached with magnets and are easy to remove for cleaning.

Sonos recommends limited cleaning. Kinda generic an d maybe just lifted from another manual.

Clean only with dry soft cloth. Household cleaners or solvents can damage the finish on your Sonos components.

I have very oily skin and have used a very dilute dish-washing (Dawn) soap and warm water on a soft rag on other headphone's cups. With the cups being removable on the Ace, I have been tempted but haven't tried it yet. I'll see how the dry wipedown works, save the damp clean for my replacement pads and see how it goes.

@Stanley_4  I do think I have oily skin too, and I will surely take your advise not only for the pads but also the part over the head which is equal or more expose.

Appreciate your help, my best regards from Mexico City!
