I have a fast blinking light on Connect Gen 2. I’ve tried reseting but it just keeps blinking white. The ethernet ports are also blinking. It doesn’t appear on my network.
So, this isn't really an "Advanced Setup", but there are many who enjoy keeping up on Sonos and whatever their newest products are by going through the FCC database, and we tend to be "advanced" users. As a result, I thought I'd post this list of FCC IDs registered to Sonos. I will do what I can to keep this list current over time.Notably missing from this list are the Connect:Amp (ZP120), Connect (ZP90), and first generation Play:5. The RM000, RM001, and RM002 wireless cards were certified to be modular RF components, so they could be used in multiple devices without those devices needing separate FCC IDs. I assume this is why specific FCC IDs were not created for these three Sonos devices.I don't know why there are two Play:1 models with different FCC IDs, though some sites elsewhere on the internet have identified one as being for China.Grantee Code: SBV - Sonos Inc.FCCID - Product name/modelRM038 - S38/One SL (per FCC Product Markings image)RM027 - S27/RoamRM026 - S26/Sub v2RM024 -
SonoS arc not playing Dolby Atmos from Phillips Tv built in apps and Fire StickI have the following set upTV Phillips 65OLED754/12SONOS ARC with SonoS Play1’s as rearsSky Q latest 2TB box with HDR support connected to a HD Fury Arcada with the eARC out going to SonoS ARC and the HDMI out going to the HDMI 1 (ARC) on the TV.Amazon 4K Fire Stick connected to HDMI 4 on the TV.I’m using the HD Fury Arcada because of the lip sync issues when using Sky Q.Issue: When watching Netflix using the built in App on the TV, programs show up as Dolby Atmos on the screen if they are in Atmos but when played they do not play in Atmos or DD 5.1. The sound appears to only come out of the SonoS ARC with no sound from the rears. This is the same for playing from the FireStick on programs from prime and Apple App on the FireStick which are available in Atmos (I appreciate that Netflix on the Fire stick does not provide Atmos). The SonoS S2 app shows audio in as ‘Silence’ or occasionally nothing appears ag
Hi, I am having trouble with my Sonos setup. I have a Sonos Arc, Sub Gen 3, 2 One SLs. I use the SLs as my surrounds. When I have TrueTone activated, I have a much better adjusted sound, but the surrounds are quite unbalanced, the right one is a lot louder than the left one. When I turn off True Tone I get a worse sound but a better balance.I have seen the issue reported several times, but did not find a solution. Would you have any idea how to solve the problem? thank you!
I have lost Alexa on my Play One. I have factory reset the speaker and reconnected it. I’ve also done everything under in the Sonos support topic about deregistrating and reregistrating an Alexa device. When completing the setup, I can hear Alexa confirm setup with, “Hello!”. However, the mic led will not turn on. There is a tone each time I turn the mic on and off but it will not respond to any commands. Everything looks fine, just no mic LED or response.Your diagnostic confirmation number is: 1384143241. What’s the next step, Sonos? Thanks- John
We have two systems A pair of ones upstairs which work fine. We have a beam and two play ones downstairs. We have had started having issues with alexa and also with playing music from radio , be is tunein, my radio tuner or alexa, even from app we cannot play music, but if we start the music upstairs and add the downstairs in to play too it will play as long as the upstairs ones are playing too, when we try just to play on the ones downstairs we get cannot connect all the time with https: then it's blank.Anyone had this issue and a way to fix it, it worked fine until last week
Merci d'avance. Olgo
When my SONOS Beam is connected to the TV, the controllers for the Nintendo Switch lag a split second, enough to make many games unplayable. It is NOT an audio lag, but a controller input lag. As soon as I unplug the speaker from the TV, the controls are responsive again. And when I plug the speaker in again, the controls start lagging again. This happens whether I’m using a wireless controller or a USB controller.I don’t think it has to do with the Beam’s wifi. I have it set up on ethernet from the router and it’s not connected to a wifi network. I’m using a TCL ROKU TV (49S405). FYI, this is the same problem experienced in an earlier posted question that was never resolved (“Nintendo Switch Controller Connection Issues” by Mattr767). What’s going on? Is there anyway to fix this? I can’t use the Beam when gaming, which is half the use the TV gets.
I’ve had a Move for about 3 months. Recently the battery died and I put it back on the charging base. When I went to use it in a few days, it wasn’t found on my system. I checked the physical unit and the light on the top just blinks white. The battery light is also showing red.I’ve tried rebooting it and resetting it. However both of those solutions require holding the power button until it turns the white light off/powers off. My unit WILL NOT do that. I’ve held the power button down for as long as 2+ minutes, with no effect.I’m at a loss what to do next. Other than contact Sonos support, which I’ll do at some point, does anyone have any suggestions?
Does anyone know why my arc works through the tv sound, I then switch to music and it works and then going back to tv the sound doesn’t come back to through the arc?
I’m having an issue loading my local iTunes library to my Sonos system. My iTunes library is not in the standard location. Since my local SSD is small my iTunes library is on a remote disc. This works fine within the native Music app on my Mac. But I’m having issues getting the Sonos app to load them.My iTunes library is at:/Volumes/Macintosh Data/Music/iTunesIs that the directory I have Sonos grab from? Or do I use:/Volumes/Macintosh Data/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music?Neither seem to work for me. It is the second one above that iTunes is actually pointed to. All I get in the S2 app when I go to the music library is “No selections are available”. I look under Artists, or Albums, or Genres, you get the idea. Nothing to be found.I don’t know what to try next. I have a lot of Lossless files that I want to play on my Sonos system but this is blocking me from doing so. Only thing I can think of left to try is over-ride the default Music library with an alias to the external location.
I have two Sonos AMPs that have no power. I have had a lot of success fixing Connect and Connect:AMP (old and new) devices (there are other threads here on this site), so thought I’d have a look at this AMP problem. After getting it open (see here), I was able to extract the first of two PC boards. The first board is entirely made up of the power supply. The outputs are provided to the rest of the unit via two metallic standoffs. There is also a small connection to the RCA connectors -- I haven’t looked into that yet, other than to see that there seems to be an optical trigger feeding back to the power supply (I have no idea what it is for). The power board has a much newer fabrication technique, and looks like it will be quite a lot harder to diagnose and repair. I couldn’t find the problem with it. BUT… I moved on. The power board outputs are marked GND and 48V, so I fed 48V into the second board via this, from an external power supply. It worked great, and the device booted up
Hi. I have been a sonos user for many years.I am now unable to log in to the web site. I consistently get messages right after providing my password that ‘sonos.com can’t handle my request’.Due to the above, I am using another sonos.com account. This account works great from all my machines. The other account is inaccessible from all of my other devices and machines (except the sonos app -- that works fine). Due to this disparity, I believe that the problem is on the server end, and it is not related to my devices in any way.I have a lot of sonos devices. Probably well over 30. Is it possible that sonos is choking on this somehow? I just moved about a dozen of them to this new account, hoping to ‘fix’ the login problem, but it didn’t work.If any sonos employees want to look into this, the email address that I am having the problem with is the same as the one I am posting from, except for the bit appended after the “.”.Please advise?
Hi,I have read in the SONOS community that there are many issues encountered when a user upgrades the home wifi network, say with a new modem/router, for example, an upgrade of google wifi mesh to the next gen Nest wifi mesh.Every SONOS echo system user will bound to encounter this issue in time, as and when there is a necessity to upgrade the home wifi network with time. I am also thinking of upgrading my current google wifi mesh to the next gen Nest wifi mesh; but have concerns of the problems I would encounter with the wifi network switch on the existing installed SONOS echo speakers system.Common problems encountered included, SONOS speakers cannot join the new wifi network, all speakers disappeared form the SONOS app.I am wondering if someone can provide advisory or point to any available knowledgebase to resolve/steps to be taken during new installation of a new wifi network to prevent SONOS issues from surfacing?Grateful for any advice.Thank you.Regards,zentan69
I am on the free tier and I had 1000 uploaded tracks on GM but now the only folders I see are Playlists, Artists and Albums. No category of just ‘Songs’ like on the app which works perfectly. This sucks.
I’ve just got a Sonos Amp (my first device), and I’m trying to add it to Google Home. I’ve tried by adding it through the Google Home app, and by adding the Google Assistant through the Sonos. Both end up with the same problem - they open the Sonos website to login and when I do it says “Not available in your country.” Even though I am in the UK and:I have set my Sonos profile to United Kingdom My Google account is set to United Kingdom I do not have any other Google accounts on my phone I am logged into the same Premium YouTube Music account on Sonos and Google My IP address comes up as United Kingdom when checking online I’ve restarted my router, phone, uninstall Assistant etc.I’ve been through all the threads and tips I can find, and I can’t find any more advice on how to fix it. Please can someone help? It really just seems like the Sonos website mistakenly thinks I’m in a country that I’m not.
Ok, so I wanted to set up my existing Play 1s to work with a CD player and a record player so I got a ZP80, an RCA switch, and a phono pre-amp. Good enough. However, the sound stopped coming from the CD player periodically (no rhyme or reason) and now I am not getting any sound from the CD player, whatsoever. The CD player is working according to the display (I can see the track progressing) but no sound. And I have no trouble at all with streaming or record playback, so that is odd. Seriously considering going back to old-fashioned speaker if I can’t get this to work. Can somebody throw me a bone? Thanks!
I have a Beam, a One and a One SL grouped together in my lounge. The charging base for my Move is also on my lounge but it gently lives in my bathroom. Whenever I use Google assistant to control my hue lights, it will respond on my Move if it's on charge in the lounge, but if it's in the bathroom the response comes from my phone, even if the phone is in another room which is annoying. Although Assistant is enabled on the Beam and the appropriate One; it just doesn't seem to work. If the phone or the Move isn't in range, I get nothing, no response. I assumed it was because it didn't work in groups but theres no logic to that.
I play mixes on Mixcloud other peoples and my own and after 30 min or more it’ll skip to the next mix. This has been happening for a very long time but as I don’t use it much I’ve never bothered to report it. However now in lockdown so using it a lot now. Diagnostics number is: 612132602 can someone please help?
Hello,I purchased a Move this week.I have set up Last.fm scrobbling as per this page:https://support.sonos.com/s/article/803?language=en_USMy Spotify account was already connected to my last.fm account. Now when I play songs through the Sonos app, the tracks are scrobbled twice (duplicate scrobbles). They only appear as one scrobble until I use Spotify on another device (for example my phone speaker or Xbox) at which point the duplicates appear. If I start the Spotify app and "cast" to the Sonos speaker, the scrobbles only appear once I stop casting and play a song in Spotify away from Sonos systems (for example my phone speaker or Xbox). These are not duplicates.I have seen others posting about this issue however I was wondering if anybody had a way around this behaviour since neither options above are ideal. Many thanks for any help!
My sound bar has stopped working overnight ! No power, I took power cable out and put it back in and it sparked inside the bar!
I have the Sonos Arc, sub gen 3 and 2 surrounds Ones that I use for TV and music. Works great. Could I hook up 2 additional One Sls in a different room that won’t play the TV sound with the other components but will play my music with the other components? Basically When I watch TV I don’t want the 2 extra speakers that’ll be in a different room to output speaker sound. But when I play music I want them all to work together. Thanx
Ok so it seems that Sonos doesn’t really care about this issue since I find post about this from like 3 years ago.But another issue with Scrobbling with your Spotify account is that if you use the Last.fm Scrobble feature on Sonos when you start playing something through Spotify on any other device the last 50 songs you played gets Scrobbled again.I understand why this is happening but no one is doing anything about it. Let me try and explain what I think is happening. When you Scrobble through Sonos it sends every Scrobble directly to Last.fm after you have listened to a song. This is great and makes so that you can Scrobble “in real time” if you update the Last.fm page. But when you start listening through Spotify it sends the last 50 cached songs to Last.fm as well since playing through Sonos almost counts as if you are playing offline. Therefor you get another set of the last 50 songs you played through your Sonos system with Spotify. There has to be something either Spotify or Sono
Hi, SONOS 2 APP (12.2.2) on MAC (Big Sur 11.1) has stopped remembering chapter location in audible (.co.uk) audio books, returns to beginning of book every time the book is un-paused. It used to work fine, not entirely sure when it started to behave like this, but probably in the last two weeks. RegardsRich
Hey there. i have the latest Sonos App (12.2.4) but everytime I want to add my new Symfonisk to the system the app recognises the new device but tells me that I need to update my app. When I click the link it brings me to the App Store to just open the app because I already have the latest version. Somebody with similar problems ?
