Hi allI’m trying to play Tarantino's soundtrack and it appears that some songs in album are grayed out. I'm trying to do that on Tidal from inside the Sonos app on my iPhone. In the same time that songs(full album) are perfectly playable on this device directly from Tidal. It's not my playlist just album. The same on the Android device and in some other albums. Why? It's a huge disappointment. I've got few more days to return the speaker. Can anybody help?
I’ve been using the Sonos/Spotify service for years with no issues and recently, seemingly over night and for no reason I am unable to play Spotify through my Sonos system. Occasionally I am able to play 5 seconds but then ‘connection to Spotify lost’ notification pops up, extremely frustrating. I have read all the related articles, reset everything but have been unable to resolve the issue. Can anyone help?!?
Hello, I’d you go to Spotify > scroll down to Songs > play any song, I am getting the following error: An error occurred while adding tracks to queue (701). Songs play fine if I play them through a playlist for example. I tried reauthorizing and the issue still happening. I submitted a diagnostic report as well: 2080463729. Thanks.
Just a heads up I recently installed Sonos Arc setup with 2x Fives as Surrounds and 2x Subs. In addition, I installed 2x Sonos Ones for extended audio throughout my home (one in bedroom, one in kitchen).I was experiencing connection drop-out issues on my Sonos Ones whenever playing content from my TV (regardless of input source), and extending the audio beyond my living room surround. The Sonos Ones would drop connection and the audio was very sputtered. This issue would not happen if I played music natively through the Sonos App. The Sonos Ones worked flawlessly if that was the case.I contacted Sonos Support and they determined the issue to be related to my WiFi extender. Apparently it’s a known issue that WiFi extenders confuse additional speakers on the network as they attempt to join both the main network and the wifi extender network at the same time, creating connection/audio-drop out issues.I was informed by Sonos Support to change the SSID or WiFi name of my wifi extender. I have the following Sonos setup1 x Boost2 x Play:1s paired - kitchen2 x sonos Ones paired - living room1 x sonos Five - OfficeWhen I try to play any HD music(Tidal or Sonos Radio HD) with the speakers grouped together, the music drops in and out from speaker to speaker. Especially when I switch to a new song manually. Even when I play Sonos Radio HD on the kitchen by itself I’ll get drops or the music volume will lower itself intermittently. I contacted Sonos support and after hours of troubleshooting was transferred to their top tier support. He said my wireless looked clean with no interference and we went through a number of trouble shooting steps(changed wireless channels, changed controllers, etc..) with no luck. He said he was seeing buffer overruns in the logs but that was it. He eventually just recommended wiring all the speakers with ethernet which completely defeats the purpose of buying wireless speakers.Just wondering if anyone else was having similar issues with HD music
My situation:Amazon unlimited playlist containing 12 songs. 1 of those songs is repeated. when trying to play either ‘version' of that song within the playlist it fails saying error with encoding. if I create a new playlist with all songs just once they play perfectly. this coincides with me accepting the HD upgrade from Amazon music. the simple workaround is to only ever have a song in your Amazon music playlist once but it used to work, for years on the same playlist. It also means if you accidentally add your favourite song twice you’ll never hear it. Anyone else having this issue? Know if there is a plan to fix it?
Hi, In a client setup having a Beam connected to the TV (via HDMI with ARC) and an AMP for a spill over area, client would like to have the possibility to listen to the TV audio in the spill over area as well. In view of this, I thought of connecting the source to an HDMI distribution amplifier such that the outputs can be connected to both the TV and to the AMP in orderto provide the amp with the source audio content. The TV is then connected to the Beam via an HDMI ARC connection, which works great. The AMP however, does not accept the HDMI input from the Distribution amplifier as an HDMI with ARC functionality. Why is it not possible for audio to be used from the HDMI signal which includes both video and audio content? Thanks
Hi,Is there a Sonos API that caters for the selection of the HDMI or analogue audio input from a 3rd party control system? With thanksKeith
I changed broadband providers and since then whilst Alexa response and acknlowedges my request:Alexa, play songs by Prince Playing songs by prince on spotify… nothing happs. I can access the sonos app or spotify app and play songs / media on any of my many devices… but none can be operates via Alexa.I have removed Alexa from all devices - no joyRemoved all services from sonos - no joyDisabled all skills on alexa and re-enabled - no you I have a beam, several ones… none work
Our office recently upgraded our wi-fi access points. (Same password etc mind, other devices worked seamlessly) As we couldn't get the Sonos speakers to connect, I have tried factory resetting and starting from scratch. After going through the setup process on the app (successfully!) The app says that the speaker has been added but may not appear in the system tab until after a reboot. After multiple reboots it still does not appear in the app and another factory reset and set up has not made a difference. At the moment, I am working with one single Sonos Play:1 for troubleshooting, but there is a whole building full of speakers that are essentially unusable. Any ideas?
BE WARNEDIf you have am Amazon Music Unlimited account and you upgrade it to Amazon Music HD, then any Amazon Music songs already stored in playlists within the Sonos app will no longer play. I had to get Amazon to remove the "upgrade". This resolved the issue immediately.
If I take a my Roam and my Move to the dog park, is it possible to stream bluetooth audio to both devices simultaneously? My iPhone is able to connect via bluetooth to both devices at the same time but only one device plays audio. If this isn’t possible now, could a future update make this possible, or is it a bluetooth issue that doesn’t allow grouping devices?
I recently installed a Sonos Arc and registered the device with Amazon. Skills are enabled in the Alexa App. Everytime I ask Alexa to play it says I mus enable the skills. Turned them on and off several times, still not working.
Hello the community, sorry for my english I have a problem with the bluetooth of my roam. I can connect but sometimes the music gets cut or works intermittently. The only solution I found was to reconnect my phone several times to the roam. But it’s annoying! Do you have a solution for the connection to be stable?thanks.
I was playing my playbar at full volume, heard a pop and no more playbar.Lights don’t come on when powered up...I think it died...now what?
I had a play 5 1st gen and a beam 1st/2nd gen working off the app 1. Been bought a roam which has to work off app 2. Thought it would be simple to set up but no!!! Was told I would have to delete both off app 1, set up the roam on app 2 then go back an re set up the beam and 5 on app 1 as I want those paired together. Cannot do this. Any help appreciated
Anyone have any idea why sonos connect just stopped connecting with my android phone 5-10-2021? No phone updates made. No wifi changes. Still connects with my laptop just fine.
I was having the problem of Sonos stopping to play from my music library on my Android phone when the phone screen locked. It always happened at exactly the same time intervals. As soon as I would wake the phone, the music started again through the Sonos speaker, and it looked like the app had been playing the music all along. After reading this string of someone with the same problem at https://en.community.sonos.com/troubleshooting-228999/sonos-stops-playing-from-android-library-never-was-the-case-before-6829163 and someone else on another string suggesting it was Wi-Fi related, I remembered that my android phone has different settings for power management for Wi-Fi.Here’s the fix in my phone settings that worked for me:Settings / Wi-Fi settings/ Advanced. Scroll down to View More. Changed Keep Wi-Fi on During Sleep from “While Charging” to “Always”. Thought I would share in case this could work for others as well.
Hi - I just received my Sonos Roam and it won’t connect to my current Sonos system. I have 10 other Sonos speakers throughout the house and everything works great. But I can’t get my Roam to connect (I’ve tried everything). Please help! Thanks. Paul
If I’m listening to music at volume 5 or 6 for example, and ask Google to play music or another command, the VOICE IT FAR TOO LOUD, I have to plug my ears. How do i change this?Google speakers used to have a voice setting for the voice volume, this is no longer there.Any updates?
I just wanted to report that I had the BT Whole Home (mesh) network installed this week. As a result, the Sonos controller app now works in throughout the house - which is very convenient. My Sonos system uses a Playbase wired into my BT Home Hub. I have a Sonos Boost.
I have just setup the Sonos Beam and am very disappointed with the output from the TV. Volume has to be set 5 times higher than normal but Alexa and Google are nice and loud. Does anyone have a solution for this?
I've have a SONOS PORT (connect to a record player) which has autoplay enabled for group Kitchen (containing 2 sonos ONE's)When spinning a record, the sound can be heard via the “Kitchen” speakers. When switching to Spotify, the sound is gone. The Kitchen ONE's are still visible in the app (no error/offline message is displayed), they just don't produce any sound/music. I can control the volume “slider”but this has no effect at all. No music is broadcasted. When putting a record back on (and autoplay kicks in) the Kitchen ONEs produce sound. (So I didn't reset/touched the Kitchen ONE's). Any idea what is happening and how this can be resolved? My entire SONOS setup is using my own wifi network, is not LAN connected and thus not using SonosNET. (This is a deliberate choice...see one of my other threads for the why part :-))Thanks for the support!
Until recently when I airdropped a streaming service to my Move it would be available throughout my Sonos system… now it is limited to my stereo paired Moves to which I airdropped it. Can someone tell me what might be needed to get airdropped streaming throughout my whole system?
Have five rooms and a boost connecting all. Two rooms of play ones, two rooms of play fives with one also having a sub, and one room of play threes. When using spotify the playback is extremely hit or miss for any room or group of rooms with 10-15s interruptions common and speakers shutting on and off in various rooms. Occasionally songs end early and skip to the next track in the middle of a song. I’ve tried using a couple other services such as soundcloud, and while they’re not 100% reliable it’s only one room affected for one or both speakers, not as drastic as spotify. However when using tunein to play local radio I can group the entire set or any combo together flawlessly and instantly every time. Sonos and spotify and all speakers are updated to the latest software. As best I can tell it’s not a problem with my wifi, and the spotify account is not shared. Has anyone else experienced this and possibly found a fix? Could it possibly be a problem with my boost or the system itself?Th
