I have a smal apartment with the router in center of it and I have 3 IKEA speakers within just 8 meters width from the router. There is one speaker (IKEA lamp 8m away) that keeps getting music cut offs and loses the ability to control it from the SONOS app. I have changed the channel on the router to 11 and the speakers to 6. There is no walls between the speaker and the router and I have tried two different high performance routers with no difference. Between the speaker and the router I have a samsung tv, a Playstation 5 and a Logitec z906 system. The SONOS speaker seems to stop working when the PS5 is ON, while it seems to work (at least it works better) while the PS5 is in standby/turned off. Can the PS5 cause this problem or is the cut offs random? DIAGNOSTIC: 12583358
Set up: Sonos Beam Gen 2 / Xbox Series X / SAMSUNG - UE40MU6100 TVApologies as this has been asked many times from reading through forums but I’ve yet to see a clear and simple fix for this issue. I recently bought Sonos Beam Gen 2 and I’m having a significant audio delay issue when using my Xbox Series X. This occurs when I change my audio output from stereo uncompressed to Bitstream out > Dolby Digital. The soundbar is connected via the HDMI ARC input and the Xbox in another HDMI port. I’ve seen products such as https://hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/ suggested as a possible fix but I’m much rather not fork out another £150 to solve an issue which shouldn’t happen in the first place. Are there any other suggestions for a potential fix? Any help is much appreciated!
I am having an issue with my 2021 Samsung Frame TV and Beam gen 2. Sometimes I get no sound when the TV turns on, sometimes it connects to the Beam but via ARC not eARC, sometimes the TV speakers come on and go off in a loop, but no sound from the Beam G2.I have tried the various solutions, but nothing works. The only fix is power cycling the TV. Which is a pain. If the Beam connects via ARC, turning the TV ARC setting from “Auto” to “Off” and back to “Auto” reconnects as eARC (but who wants to do that every morning?). If the TV speakers are cycling on and off every 10 seconds or so, I have to power cycle the TV to fix it.This is a major problem when my wife turns the TV on (from artMode) first thing in the morning for the News, and gets no sound, or TV speakers on and off every 10 seconds. Her solution? “The TV speakers are fine, send the Sonos thing back”). I like my “Sonos thing”, but only if it works!I have found that sometimes when the TV powers on on a morning with no sound (but
Hello everyone!I currently own 2 sonos moves.I had the first Move for almost 1 year and it ALWAYS worked perfectly in WIFI (no disconnections). For about 2 months I bought the second MOVE to create the stereo pair.I live in Italy, in an apartment building with several neighbors' wifi networksThe two speakers work perfectly in stereo pairs for about 5/10/15 minutes but then, always one of the two always disconnects and you no longer hear audio (and you can only hear the music from one speaker).- I tried to factory reset the two speakers- I don't have wifi extender and the wifi connection is GREAT and very fast throughout the house (fiber)- I tried in the router to change channels 1/6/11 and rebooted- I tried to group the speakers (not in stereo pair)- I tried to contact the live chat several times, sending dozens of diagnostics (nothing)- I only have 2.4ghz wifi frequency (5 ghz off)- I tried to use different music sources (spotify, from iphone with airplay, from pc with mp3 folders ...
Hi I’ve been into Sonos for a very long time. I’m reasonably familiar with both the S1 and S2 apps. I’m currently running 2 Sub Gen2, 1 Sub Gen3, an Arc, a Beam Gen1, a Beam Gen2, a Playbar, 2 Play:1, 2 Play:5, 4 Play One SL, and 2 Play One. In an 1100 sqft apartment lol. I only seem to recognize my illness when I type it out. So again, I’m reasonably comfortable with the company’s products. So I’ve decided that I need to thin out the herd.My Arc is bonded with the Sub Gen3 and 2 of the Play Ones. Really really nice setup. I love the sound. I’m not messing around with this. I currently have my Beam Gen2 bonded with 1 Sub Gen2. I have them in my small studio (I’m a painter). I have them for movie / YouTube while working. “Maybe” a 12x12 room. It’s not an Arc, but it’s good. I haven’t decided about the 2 Play One SLs. It’s such a small room. I don’t want to hamper ATMOS.Finally, I prefer to listen to lossless music. Now the problem space. I have a something like 13x20 Lounge / Living Room
When I try to set up trueplay on my Beam Gen 2, I encounter the error message “lost speaker” on the very first step. I have reinstalled the app, tried two different iPhones (XS and 11), restart the Beam, did a factory reset, and reset my WiFi connection to no avail. The WiFi connection to the Beam seems stable, I am able to stream music without issue. Any insight on what might be the issue or what else I can try would be most appreciated.
My Gen 3 Sub won't kick in bass for several minutes (anywhere from 5 - 15 mins!) when playing music. It is paired with my Stereo paired One SL's. The app detects it, the speakers detect it (as the bass is removed from them when playing). Once it finally kicks in, it is fine. If I leave my music app then restart it, I have to wait all over again. The speakers and sub are close to each other, as well as to the wifi router. I have tried factory resetting it. I even exchanged it at Best Buy for another sub, and the new sub has the exact same problem.
Hello, I’ve recently obtained a Sonos Amp and a Sonos Sub for my TV film setup. The issue I’ve encountered is the following :Setup of Sonos Amp works smoothly. Adding Sonos Sub looks seemingly ok , returns the message at the end of the setup that Sonos Sub has been successfully added but that sometimes the device doesnt show up and a power cycle is required. Sonos sub isn’t visible. After a powercycle of the Sonos Sub the Sub doesn’t show up. Both setup via wireless or wired result in device not popping up within the Sonos S2 app on my iPhone.Cable has been tested on other device to ensure cable is ok , cable is working perfectly on other devices.Repeated the setup process quite a few time , everytime resulting in the device not showing up.Verifying the network connectivity of all the Sonos devices on my router tells me the following :All existing Sonos S2 devices ( Sonos Amp ) and Sonos S1 devices mac addressess are shown on my router except the mac address of my Sonos Sub.Furthermore
I have a tv and wanted to put a beam behind the couch, far enough away from the tv that it doesn’t make sense to hdmi the beam to the TV through arc. I wanted to see my options, but my understanding is that the tv must be hooked up physically to a sonos product if I want to get it playing on a sonos device of any kind. (even though the tv is wifi and bluetooth enabled samsung) If this is the case, I do have a sonos amp in the closet next to the tv that I could hook the tv up to. the question is, if i hook the tv up to the amp, is there a way to make the tv not play through the speakers connected to the amp (they are in another room) and instead have the beam play the tv. or are there other options. or is my only option to directly plug my tv into my beam.
I recently bought and extra OneSL to stereo pair with my exisiting One. I also have a Play:5 2nd generation. I’ve put them all on the same bookshelf, with the Play 5 in the middle and the Ones off to both sides. It sounds pretty awesome. Question: Should I adjust the equalizer to increase bass output on the Play5 and increase treble on the ones? Would this make much difference? Would the Play 5 actually provide more bass by doing this? I’ve played around with it, and so far it seems dependent on the music as to which sounds better.
HiI have problems connecting a rega plus1 turntable with build-in amp to my five speakers that’s in stereo modeI am using a standard RCA to ⅛” (3.5mm).In the Sonos-app the line-in source says it is playing, but no sound other the scratchy noice when volume is on 100% I have tried to change the source level on the five. I have tried to separate the five speakers so no longer in stereo and I have tried to curse at the system - nothing helps It should be so easy so what am I doing wrong?
I have two Sonos 1 that are connected to extenders. Neither are hard wired nor can they be (router is in a closet). So, they go out of synch. I am told that I should purchase a mesh network and connect one of the Sonos One to the mesh. Is that right? I am looking at Linkys and EERO. Does anyone have any experience with this? WIll one of these work? I understand I need to shut off the verizon router and then override it with the mesh. Thanks in advance for your help.
Most evenings Sonos Arc willsuddenly drop volume for up to 30 seconds. This may happen twice.Connected to LG tv and Sky box.Is this a software issue?
Hi,I have an Xfinity Gateway that is locked to auto channel switching (grr). Because I can’t set a specific channel on the router, is there a preferred channel to set on SonosNet or is it just a crapshoot? Thanks!
HiI have a beam (gen1) in the home office. - audio and TV Also own an amazing legacy pair of floor standing speakers gathering dust. I’d like to add them to the home office for surround sound. If I order the amp, can i pair it with the beam to deliver surround sound? Thanks!
Just tried the new Alexa “move my music” features outlined here — https://gadgets.ndtv.com/apps/news/amazon-alexa-move-audio-music-echo-devices-update-2600004/amp of course as soon as I try it, Alexa replies:“NOT SUPPORTED ON SONOS” is this feature going to be added? I’m getting awfully close to selling my 8 Sonos Ones and just getting echo devices!!
My first post, hello all. I have had Sonos for many years and have never had an issue until recently. My Play:1’s are set up in a stereo pair with a 2nd Gen Sub and a few days ago I started having issues with Amazon Music (specifically songs that are Ultra HD only) and have been experiencing extremely choppy audio which makes the music un-listenable.I do not have this issue with my amp (newest gen) or SL ones, it only happens with the Play:1’s. I was on the phone with support for 1-½ hours with no solution - anyone else having this issue? I am using S2 and I am assuming this is an issue with the Ultra HD music file being compatible with the Play:1’s since it doesn’t happen on any of my newer speakers. It also does not happen if I select songs that are not Ultra HD. I do not have any issues with streaming Ultra HD songs directly from the Amazon Music App.(I have removed/reinstalled the Music link in the Sonos app, rebooted my router and modem, rebooted the speakers, did a factory reset
I sometimes use multiple Apple Music playlists, curated by Apple, across my Sonos estate. I am having a problem with one in particular. It works perfectly well through Apple Music, and I have added it to ‘My Playlists’ but on my Sonos system, when I try to play it, I get the message “We’ve run into a problem. Try again”. Can anyone help please? I am using the main Sonos app (not S1) on iOS and the playlist is “A very Indie Christmas”. It used to work a couple of weeks ago-about the time I upgraded to S2 (not sure if that is a coincidence!) Thanks!
Why is the intelligibility of speech so poor on Sonos? I use Spnos Play 1 and Sonos One and listen to BBC Radio 4. intelligibility is noticeably poorer than on Amazon Echo speakers. In fact, at times it is so poor that I cannot understand what is being spoken. Why is this and is there a way (apart from adjusting bass, treble or compression) which can improve this?
I fixed the amp with a reset and Ethernet cable connection - but the sub won’t play any sound and gives an error message when trying to connect it - yet after closing and opening the Sonos app it says it has been configured.Diagnosis 894402776
Pretty much every time I start the TV, my sonos Move starts to play the last song from Spotify! I have a Samsung TV connected via HDMI to a Sonos Beam. How can I fix this so that no music starts just because I start the TV? When I start the TV no music is playing.
I've owned two Sonos ones for 3 years now and I can not get the two to play music via alexa. It simply doesn't work. Countless attempts, no real answer from Sonos on it. I've grouped them together as a group in alexa app (the preferred speaker option for both speakers isn't there anymore, can only select one of the speakers or built in speaker) and it still won't work. It's like it's not compatible despite saying it is. I love the Sonos products for their audio quality but voice integration is very poor and poorly advertised as alexa compatible. I know you can't link alexa products with Sonos in a group but can't understand why the Sonos groups won't work. If anymore has ever got this working I would love to know how, as it just seems like I'm banging my head against a wall. Thanks
I am trying to set date and time on my Sonos Move and I am unable. From the android sonos app, I go into System > Date & Time. The Set Time from Internet toggle is off. If I change it to on, quit menu and come back, it is back to off. The Date button does nothing and the Time button closes the app.I suspect I have an issue connecting to a ntp server with my broadband provider which is Bell Canada using a HomeHub 3000.
HELPWe are a small theater company that switched to using Sonos when the Bose BuiltInviable system went obsolete. We love the Sonos system because it works and sets up so easily, until it doesn't. Frustration sets in upon installing larger systems. SONOS says 32 devices is their recommended limit. We are experiencing multiple issues with our 33 device installation. *Rooms falling off the system Music just stops Just trying to get the devices on the system seams like a real struggle Its hard to believe that just one extra device is causing all this. Here is how we have set the system up. The entire system is hardwired except 1 or 2 subs and a Beam or two. The devices that are hardwired are connected to a mannaged switch with spanningtree enabled (sonos recommended). The system has one SONOS Boost attached. (I understand the boost acts as a traffic monitor and is supposed to help with the communication between devices. We didnt add the boost until latter in the setup and Im wondering if
We have problems with a Sonos port constantly dropping connection, happens several times a week, support diagnostic ID is 368309721. Network seems stable, ping is working etc.
