Understand this issue has been noted a lot on here but did not run into my specific issue. I had eero mesh system (3 pack) plus my Sonos set up (3 Play:1, 1 Play:5, 1 Beam with 2 One’s as surround, 1 Move, and 1 Roam) which worked fine. Recently we added the Ring alarm system with the built in eero, essentially replacing the main gateway with the Ring gateway. Since then, we continue to have issues with sound dropping. None of my Sonos are plugged in to use the Sonos Net; tried this before but b/c of our old house, the Sonos Net ends up being worse. Any thoughts on why this is being caused? Every other system works great but our Hue lights sometimes act up. Both Sonos and Hue worked great before we added the Ring system on the eero. Thanks!
A few updates back on the Sonos 2 app a bug was introduced. My hard wired Connect Amp when playing my Music Library (iMac/iTune match ethernet) disconnects for ~ 10 seconds when it gets to the last 30-35 seconds of the song. Happens on every Song. I spent most of a day on off the phone with Sonos support. We ran through all the scripts they have, even wired the amp directly to my router bypassing the switch. Nothing worked. I finally unplugged the ethernet cable and went WiFi instead, that fixed it. Plug the ethernet back in and the problem comes back. It’s very re-producible, you can forward a song to the last 40 seconds and just watch it happed. The IOS and Mac OS apps show no error, they just continue to count down the song time as the speakers go off then back on. I ran constant pings to the Connect Amp as the drop out happens, they all go through no problem witch further points to a software issue, network is working fine. I’m guessing not many people have there connect amp hard w
Hi all,So I purchased a Roam for the summer months outside and just realised it is not compatible with my S1 set up, all but 1 of my 6 speakers are S2 compatible I believe so assume if I replace my Bridge with a Boost 5 will work on new S2 set up? Appreciate any feedback, if the Boost is not the right approach then the Roam goes back to Sonos as my S1 system has worked great for 10 plus years with no problem so am nervous about tampering. Thanks in anticipation.Martin
Music library is my iTunes folder on my MacBook Pro, running Monterey 12.3.1 2 days ago I was listening to playlists I had created from my library via the controller on the MacBook .Today I go to play music using the controller on the MacBook and the library isn’t showing in the list and I go into “manage library” and it is empty, no pathway to my iTunes music.I have added it again but now I have to wait 15 mins to index. Why has this happened, anyone else had this?
Having this issue for 6mo now and didn't have before. Spoke with gaana many times but not sure where the problem is. Have seen similar questions in forum but none have valid response. I have gaana premium account authorized in sonos app. For many albums, it says not found or not available to play outside India. Attached screenshot below. But it plays fine directly using the gaana app. Somewhere with Sonos integration its failing. This needs to be fixed ASAP and not repeat as there are similar questions in your community for more than a year. Thank you.
Hi , I currently have an Arc , Gen3 Sub and 2 One SL's but I wanted to ask if I used 2 Fives as surrounds and set the settings to Full would i benefit when listening to Music as well tv ? Or would I need to set them to a sterio pair ? The other thing I wanted ask is can you use the Arc as a center speaker and fives as left and right channels and how good would it be , thanks for any advice.
Well, I’ve done all the troubleshooting I can find online. I’m going to call Sonos tomorrow. 2 play one’s, playbar and a sub. Works altogether once a month, if I’m lucky. I spend an hour trying to configure the system, for it to drop a single component or all of them except the playbar. Between my phone and my wife’s, we both use the Sonos app, so I assume there is a handshake trust for encryption that is partially to blame. I take them individually and plug them into the router. i gotta say I’m sick and tired of this system. Such a PIA.I feel like I’ve been bamboozled by the initial quality of the system and software, only to have the patched updates to the software completely ruin the system. Plus I miss playing my music from my playlist on my phone. Blah
Hi! I’m working on a third-party integration with Sonos. It’s unclear what’s the X-Sonos-Corr-Id HTTP header. I tried googling for it, but found just a couple of mentions at stackoverflow. Could you please clarify:What module or system sends this header? When can I expect this header? What’s the purpose of it? Do we required to handle it in some way? Thanks in advance!
Recently my connect amp would power up for a second then the light would go dark. Opened up a ticket and they came up with a “power failure”. The call center said I will need to replace my “old” unit for a new AMP. The cost will be $459! I paid $500+ for the Connect AMP in 2016 and didn't power it up until April 2017 when we moved into the house. Where is the reliability? There is no servicing of the Connect AMP???There are no authorized service center’s for these units. This seems super shady! This is the kind of shady tactics State’s Attourney Generals like to know about. I have no less than 8 Sonos units in our home. Heck, the Play 3 we purchased back on 2011 and it still going!
Bonjour, je viens de faire l’acquisition d’une sonos one d’occasion que j’ai intégré à mon réseau (arc + sub, ainsi que 4 sonos one à différents endroits de ma maison). Mon système a toujours bien fonctionné historiquement.
My new Sonos Roam has just randomly started making a continuous banging noise, all attempts to either reset the unit or turn it off have failed, there is no one available at Sonos to assist, has anyone else experienced this? Currently I have had to put it in a box wrapped in blankets to dull the noise, it sounds like a jack hammer, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
https://www.theregister.com/2020/04/30/spotify_speaker_pairing_internet/TLDR: Once you connect Spotify to your Sonos on the local network, the Spotify app can control it remotely over the internet for ever and ever more.****NB: I do not believe this to be related to adding Spotify as a music service. The feature described above works on a Sonos without Spotify added as a service. How do you boot a remote user off of the Sonos?Appreciate a real answer from someone who has done this or a support rep, there is a lot of erroneous or out of date info on the internet. My guess is factory reset might work, but I’m not sure.
Play 5 speaker decided to blow on me after about 2 years. I don’t even listen to music with loud base. I have about 20 different Sonos speakers and this is the only one I’ve had problems with. I contacted online service team and they said because it’s “out of warranty” i have to pay 400 dollars to replace. Plus I have to send this blown speaker back. So I have to pay 400 on top of what i originally paid? That just sounds crazy to me. I’d think that these speakers should last way more that two years for the price point. Makes me want to just take my money elsewhere
Hi, all! I have an S1 system with a Playbar and a Play:5 Gen1, I’m using the S1 Android app for control, and my music library is on an SMB share. The app sees the devices and the music library and plays everything perfectly on the Playbar, but when I try to play a track on the Play:5 I get “Unable to play track-name - access to //computer/folder denied”.I’ve tried the usual stuff -- deleting and adding the music library, power-cycling the devices, rebooting the router, switching from wireless to wired network connection. I always get the same behavior. It’s been a while since I used the Play:5 so I don’t know exactly when this behavior appeared. Sometime in the last five months, though.Any ideas for how I can go about debugging this? Thanks!
I recently had to change my main email address and so changed it in my Sonos account. This automatically changed it for the community login as well but I have lost all my community topic history.Does anyone know how I can get it back….? Logging in with the old email no longer works...🙁
Cordialement.
This has been going on ever since the Sonos app updated about 3wks ago. My system has not changed. Everything worked fine and now it doesn’t. I have tried Sonos Tech Support and they have been infinitely frustrating. The Issue: I play my records, sometimes it plays audio, but most of the time it doesn’t. I hit stop then play on app then audio plays through Arc only then it quits playing and spits/sputters audio randomly. Then I unplug everything for 1min, wait for everything to reconnect and audio works fine until I the next time I want to play my records. My System:2 - One SLArcSub Gen 3PortU-Turn Orbit TurntableU-Turn Pluto PreampGoogle Nest Wifi RouterNetgear Nighthawk CM1100 ModemInfinity 300Mbps internet service. The Google Nest Wifi router is ethernet cable connected to the Arc.Port Source level is Level 2Line Out Level is VariableAutoplay is set up for my TV Room with has the SLs/Arc/Sub; Autoplay Volume is at 38%Audio Compression is UncompressedEverything worked perfectly until t
Boy, I thought this would be an easy question to find an answer for. I found the same or similar question being asked in multiple ways, but none of the answers so far seem to work. I suspect this is a very basic question, so apologies in advance . . . I have an existing Sonos setup that I am using primarily for home theater & music listening. Gen2 Beam, Sub, two Play:1s. Pretty typical.I have just purchased my first Move and I’ve set it up as an independent speaker/room called “Move” (the default).I would like to add the Move to the existing setup so that it works as part of the home theater group - its main position is going to be in the dining room half of a large living/dining room area. But I also want to use this as an indi speaker when outside or upstairs in a different room. Pretty simple, eh?I thought I could accomplish this flexibility by setting up Groups on the Sonos app, but the app tells me that I need at least three rooms to begin employing groups in the way that
My Living room is 20’ x 20’ and I’m planing to setup the home theater system in the room with all Sonos speakers during my remodeling. I will be using it for watching movies, but also for our family parties. Can someone recommend what would be the ideal setup (not worrying about the cost)?I was thinking to start with Arch Sub Two CeilingWill adding two One SL (one on each side of the Arc) be better or is it too much and not necessary? How about adding two more Ceiling speakers (total of 4 ceiling+ Arc + Sub). Obviously I don’t want to spend more if I don’t have to, but if adding more speakers will make a significant difference, I don’t mind adding more. I will have two ceiling speakers in bedroom, dining room and patio as well. Thanks in advance.
A couple of the tracks in an album are showing the wrong album artwork. The artwork is correct in Apple Music, and presumably the Music Library. The artwork is embedded, so why does this happen?
So I recently got an Apple TV and was looking forward to air playing to my sonos arc. The issue I’m having is that the arc audio keeps cutting out. It will be fine for anything from 5-30 minutes and then either the arc completely loses sound, or audio goes in and out. I then have to go into airplaybsettings on Appletv and switch audio input to tv speaker and tben back to air lay and after a few times of doing this audio comes back. I have no audio cutout issues using airplay with normal audio from my iPhone.I’ve been reading the issue with the 14.6 firmware. Since I only this week set up my Apple TV I am not sure if my issue is the 14.6 issue or something else. Also sonos seems to have acknowledged the issue but now said there is no issue at all so I’m not sure what is going on with my set up.
Don't waste money buying Sonos Roam, does not stay connected
dear SONOS OS developers,i would like to suggest - if not done so already - to look into adding an NFS client software to the S1, and then why not also to the S2 SONOS OS to circumvent the SAMBA SMB1 problem one is faced with as linux users, like in my case with a 1st generation connect:amp device. luckily NFS is lightweight in terms of space and system resources. very generally, it would be a *huge* favour to the non-insignificant linux SONOS community if NFS was added as data mount protocol so that SONOS devices could directly speak to NFS servers, instead of using that cumbersome SAMBA protocol. imagine, how much less traffic would there be on this forum about that SAMBA beast…?!see here an earlier discussion about this topic in this forum.just making sure, i don’t speak about the SONOS controller App which should not be affected by adding this NFS capability to S1/S2 OS.
So yet again today I cannot see my playlists. Even tried my Android phone, which used to see them. This bug must be 6months old at least and we’ve had at least three updates but still it’s there.
Why can't I play music on Sonos groups with my voice with the Google Assistant? It is ridiculous to pay so much money on Sonos devices, if I can't even play music on a music group with the Google assistant!Sonos is a multi room system, but one of the key features ist not Support by the Google assistant. And don't blame Google on this, you could easily sync the groups as separate devices into the Google home app.
