I hope the title of this post caught your attention 😊. I want to share my thoughts regarding how Sonos really doesn’t need our help to function reliably beyond configuring a stable network. As Mesh networks are the going trend (as is mine) that is my focus. I’ve set the stage with a few generics common to mesh networks.Typical Mesh NetworkRouter (Main Node) Satellites Nodes (1, 2 or 3) *Tri-Band Router (Option 1)2.4Ghz 5Ghz (1) 5Ghz (2)Tri-Band Router (Option 2)2.4Ghz 5Ghz 6GhzAll Bands should have the Same SSIDI have a stereo pair of Sonos Play portable speakers. They usually rest in my downstairs media room. I decided to bring them out to my deck. The path to my deck is through my living room where one of my satellite nodes is located. I also have a satellite node on my deck for long distance outside coverage. As I moved through my home to the deck the Plays decided which node they would connect to. In the pictures below you see that….My Play (L) decided to connect to the satellite n
The wifi I am trying to connect to does not have a password. It requires me to open a link and and accept the connectivity terms. Is there a way to a complish this through the app??
Can I pair an Arc with an amp and two wireless ceiling speakers to create a surround sound environment? Can I run everything through the amp? Thank you.
I often listen to podcasts via the Pocket Casts service in Sonos and whenever I’m done with one episode and try to play a new episode, I get a an error. The only way I can listen to a new episode is the completely clear the queue first, and then go choose the new episode. This happens every time.I typically listen to a daily Mon-Fri podcast and each day’s episode is comprised of a 5 separate options to choose from in the app (Full show, Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part4), so my assumption is that the queue is getting completely filled automatically and then a Sonos app bug is preventing any more things being added to queue, unless there is a setting I’m missing somewhere.Anyone else experience this?
Hello,I have a Sonos Playbase that has been presenting multiple issues that have made it impossible to use anymore. It first started to drop out playing TV audio over the optical cable (which replacing the cable did not fix). I then tried a factory reset and which has now caused issues trying to get it joined back to my home system. It doesn’t want to connect over WiFi at all. Instead, I’ve connected it to the network via Ethernet and got it to show up in the Sonos app as an available speaker to add. My phone will join its local WiFi network and listen for the initialisation/pairing sound but despite many attempts it will either fail to play any sound or play it for a fraction of a second and then go silent. This has rendered the speaker completely unusable. Do you have any other recommendations of what I could try? Many thanks!
Hello, my music will go in and out, sometimes with several minutes of nothing before playing again. How can I address this for smooth playback? thank you.
We have 8 Sonos amps setup behind TVs throughout a house. 4 of these are connected to TVs VIA hdmi arc. All the tv locations work fine as tv locations however group play is broken. We cannot add the TV zones to music playing on the other zones or vice versa. Is this a known issue? We have followed white papers on setup for UniFi WiFi, all Sonos are on WiFi. TV auto sync is on and music grouping is on. When you play music you cannot just add other zones zones to playback. It adds then removes itself so group play is basically broken.
Hi everyone,I’m experiencing a serious and fully reproducible issue with my Sonos Ace headphones when using the official USB-C → 3.5mm cable provided in the box. I’m posting here to understand whether this is a known issue and if there is any official guidance or fix. What’s happening When using the headphones with the USB-C → 3.5mm cable, I hear constant electrical noise / buzzing / interference. The noise gets noticeably worse when: I touch or move a phone that is nearby That phone is charging The phone is close to other power cables or chargers Very important clarification The phone causing the interference is NOT connected to the headphones in any way. The phone is not paired via Bluetooth, not connected by cable, and not being used as an audio source. It is simply lying next to me, charging. When I pick up or touch that phone, the noise in the headphones immediately increases. When I move the phone away, the noise decreases. This strongly indicates electroma
Hi All. I have used Sonos forever and have about 15 speakers. Mostly Play1s and 5s and surround sound etc.I’m building a new house and wondered what the reviews are like re the ceiling speakers.I like the music pretty loud and clear with bass but am hesitant to move from my usual mobile plug in speakers which I am used to a fixed option. Are they worth it? Does the sound compare to the Play 1s and 5s?My ceilings are 9 ft tall. I’m assuming they are decent sounding but how decent? Trying to get my head around the ideaThanks in advanceAndrew
community. i see a dead 4 years ago entry regarding the PIN sonos assigns to each Sonos amp to be use in setup-what a ridiculous step!! larger installations make this sooopainful.i have customers with 10-16 audio zone amps in a rack.transferring ownership- having to factory defaultresetting 16 of these in a rack is a time consuming task.getting access to these PINs is such a headache.u have to disconnect everyone of these ampsin order to read those pins to reset them up under thenew owner. i cannot believe sonos has not found another simplersolution to getting to those PINscompletely criminal that you force this onto yourcustomer’s and installers..
Do I need to use my phone to ask Era 100 with voice control to play a radio station or will the speaker itself respond to my voice?
I have read many frustrated comments about songs dropping out and back in intermittently on Sonus amp system. No solutions were offered except “wait an hour on the help line”. I solved my issue which I determined to be a conflict between the wireless router and the hard wired network connection (hard wired is by far preferred). After many hours of frustration….. It is as simple as relocating the wired network connection from the amp(s) (I have 6 in the system) from the modem to the first hub in the router mesh network. It seems that the wireless router (Deca 6e) can manage the wired output and not attempt to connect wirelessly. Note: as mentioned in other posts, if you disable the wireless capability of the amps they cannot communicate with wireless subs and era 100’s. I hope this helps you avoid the frustration I faced. Sonos and Sonos 1 system integration
I have 2 Sonos One speakers (not Era 100) configured as surrounds for my Sonos Arc. They are mounted high on the wall, one above the full-height window and one (across the room) at the corner of the hallway and kitchen. As speakers, they are excellent. But when no music is playing, the one next to the window/wall sometimes makes a "pop" sound. It doesn't happen often, but maybe once or twice an hour. The other one never does this.My hypothesis is that the window shade next to the one that pops, has a big battery in it and that might build up some kind of inductive change, which the Sonos One discharged and it makes a popping sound. Is this possible? The observation is true my explanation may not be.
I have a Sonos era 300, I was using it via Bluetooth for the tv sound from the Apple TV, and it went off like it’d been disturbed, now all I get is a yellow flashing light, I’ve tried unplugging it for 30 second while holding the Bluetooth button, then plugged it back in, while holding the Bluetooth button, and still nothing but a yellow flashing light..
I have a refurbished Sonos Beam Gen 2. When I listen to a program or the news, for example, I put my ear to the center of the soundbar, and the central tweeter works fine. The speaker next to it on the

I’ve been using Sonos for about five years now. Unfortunately, I had to delete the app this morning to get my Spotify to work with my other bluetooth devices like headphones and my Wiim Player. This worked. But now, I don’t want to sign into my Sonos again. It constantly hijacks the connection and doesn’t let go.This has been happening for over a year. My WiiM player never does anything like this. I guess I’ll be sticking with WiiM, until I find an answer. It takes way too long to keep deleting the Sonos app and reinstalling. My friends are having issues with simplicity too. I’m starting to regret recommending Sonos to friends.
On my Sonos app on my iPhone, my Apple Music account in my name has been added. On my wife’s iPad registered in her name, using the Sonos app registered in my name, it doesn’t want to allow her to use my Apple Music account, so she set up her own account, even though she doesn’t use Apple Music otherwise, so it’s a waste of money. I can’t figure out how to add my Apple Music account to the Sonos account in my name to her iPad. That’s where we can use some help. Thank you.
Hello,I’m having a strange issue with my Sonos Move 2 and Roam. Whenever I turn on the speaker(s) and connect via AirPlay, my music always stutters. However, if I play a song for about a minute via Spotify Connect and then switch to AirPlay, everything works fine.I experience this issue regardless of which iPhone, iPad, or Mac I use.The speakers are, of course, up to date, just like my Apple devices.
Hello all,i just brought my Sonos back to life.i replaced as well several capacitors on the board.my concerns are about the 5 (820uF 35 V) caps.i replaced them all , but in normal use, or Even in standby they reach temperatures around 55 degrease.is this a normal situation or is there still some fault ? what do you think? happy to get some feedback from you all :-)
Why does the sonos app keep dropping one of my connects so I can't see it i the app, even though I can see it in Spotify connect and play music to it?Any ideas to save me from resetting it all the time and connecting it as a new device? Im an android user. Thanks Sonos Community
My Move won't enter Bluetooth pairing mode when I press the Bluetooth button on rear. I do hear the tone, but no blinking blue light and it doesn't show in my available devices list. It worked fine until I added eeros wifi ext devices to my existing system. I also have 2 Arcs & 2 Subs, connected to same network, working fine. Any ideas? Thx! Steve
When I play long DJ sets from Youtube Music, it always skips to next after a while (typically 10-20 minutes into the track). I have tried removing YT from Sonos services and adding it back in (this trick usually works with Soundcloud), but the issue persists. Any ideas?
