Make the Ace just like any other Sonos Speaker

I don't know why Sonos didn't design the Ace to operate just like any other Sonos speaker in my network. It's so disappointing! Fix this Sonos!

It would likely require a better battery, and a WiFi connecting antenna. Both would likely be larger than acceptable, but if you look at threads from before, and even after it was released, this was a common request. And has been discussed.

It would kind of be like wearing a Roam on your head. But with the headphone speakers instead of the Roam speakers. I don’t know how well that would work.

Might be doable if they went to a separate battery, on your belt or shoulder strap, or cut time to recharge by more than half.

I really miss my Play 5 Gen 1 that had a headphone jack.

Seems silly to power up a TV,  Arc, Sub and two surrounds to listen to headphones.

Not a good selling point for Sonos when the other option is to use someone else's music service and Bluetooth.

What would make me happy is a new version of my Play (or the Roam or Move for folks that like them) that had a Bluetooth output so the Ace could connect to the Sonos system and use the services it provides.

Might be too warm of an experience for most

That’s why I put a Bluetooth transmitter on a Port. Having Bluetooth output from a Sonos device would be ideal. And it would free up the Port line-out.

Yikes! Not good.

The Bluetooth on a Port is a great idea, aside from the cost of the Port. Maybe a used but newer Connect.

I look for good used Port prices from time to time, hate the guy who got one for $7.99 at his local thrift shop.

I don’t think I would buy a Port just for this. A newer Connect should work just fine. The Port was already sitting there with a turntable on line-in.

That’s crazy. Why can’t I ever come across something like that?!
