So I just got my Arc it is a refurbished unit connected to my Q60T, I am using Audioquest blueberry cables and every so often (typically on Atmos content) the sound will cut out for like 5 seconds and come back. I have reset the tv, unplugged and replugged both the TV and Soundbar and swapped my cables. I have also tested eARC auto and off, digital audio and pass through. seems the dropout is better with eARC off the dropout only happens for a second, but is still noticeable. Anything that can be done to use this Soundbar at its full potential?
Hey all. I have just put a slim Samsung 43’ in the playroom and am going to place my Beam underneath it. Question is; which mount would you recommend for invisible cabling (my electrician would bury the cabling behind the wall)? I am between the Sonos mount, the Flexson and the Sanus… my main question is which would match this TV? The TV is the AU9000 model Thanks in advance for reading and hopefully responding
Since about 3 weeks I have a strange issue, my Sonos seems to be haunted. Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday my Sonos 1 plays a radio station at exactly 5:11 AM. I am unable to find any settings why this is happening, but it kind of drives us crazy as the speaker involved is in the bedroom. Anyone else having had this experience?
Hello Everyone,Since the version 14.18.1, I have a problem with my local library on My Cloud EX2 Ultra. All my speakers and my Nas have a IP static addresses. The library works fine during 3 days / 5 hours / 1 day and the library disappears from the Sonos app> I must update manually. Sometimes my library disappears from the Sonos app.The Nas My Cloud works with the protocol SMB3, I have checked with the other protocols SMB1 and 2 and the problem appears also. I have also checked with an other Nas My Cloud but the problem persists. My network is always the same, no modifications, no new material.Yesterday, I have phone with the support, solution given : uninstall and reinstall the library. That was fine during the day, the evening and today, library not present in the Sonos app.Honestly, I am a little lost about this issue.Thank you for your help or your ideas.Kind regards.
I’ve read several similar issues but there doesn’t seem to be a resolution so thought I’d ask. Sonos reads the music library from my Western Digital MYCloudEX2Ultra NAS, all the files are there from a sync between my Mac iTunes library and my NAS. Been using this method for several years without issue. Recently, probably the past couple of weeks, when I open the iPhone app or the Mac app, the library has disappeared and a music index update is needed to get the files back. As I said, never had this issue before, and have been linking to the same NAS for several years. I’ve checked and there is only one path in the library setup and the NAS is on 24/7. Anyone know why this has started happening?ThanksMartin
TL;dr - Force quit the Sonos app and Reboot the iOS device. App should work again. This morning my iPhone Sonos app will not connect to services or allow me to play some music sources. No Amazon sources are available. When I visit settings - Services & Voice i get a white screen and popup saying “Network Problem Detected - Check internet connection and try again.” Re-opening the app would lead to an immediate crash/quit. Problem effects only one device running iOS 16. Other devices in the home are on 15.7.I found the same problem when iOS 13.something was released:I checked my DNS logs and found nothing relevant from the iPhone with the issue. So I tried rebooting the iPhone. While writing this up I noticed the iPhone had finished rebooting and found the Sonos app was now working. Seems like another Sonos release not quite right with a new iOS version.Sonos App Network Error

Anyone can or cannot play music on Play 1 through PC library? with firmware 14.18?
Both Windows 10 and 11 sonos app is repeatedly dropping connection to system and requiring restart of computer etc. This is happening in the middle of normal play and for no apparent reason. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail. Extremely annoying.
I would like to be able to set my Sonos device with Google Home in Portugal, but this service is not currently available in my country. May I know why?As you know, it´s an essencial feature to spread the music through various speakers!!!
Hi,I have two large areas, often used for trainings/workshops. We would like to install some in-ceiling speakers, powered by a Sonos Amp.If you combine a Sonos Amp with Sonance speakers, you can connect up to six speakers to one Sonos. So I'll guess we’ll go for that option.Below you can see the layout of the two areas. Please see them as one big room, there is no wall or door between them. It’s ok that the same music is played in these two areas. In 95% of the cases, the speakers will need to provide some soft background music (in a non-distracting way). However, in some specific cases we need to play some loud audio files. A true stereo-setup will be difficult in these areas, so we’ll work in dual mono mode. The key thing I’m struggling with is speaker placement. Given below layout, how should I place the six speakers for evenly distributed sound?
I've noticed some inconsistencies with Trueplay on my system (Beam Gen 1 with a Sub Mini and two Gen 2 Ones as surrounds) since the latest update. In particular, starting with Trueplay turned on and then turning it off and back on results in better sound quality even though Trueplay is on in both cases. In more detail, I performed a Trueplay calibration after the latest update (14.18). Now when I stream music (using Amazon Music) the surrounds are very loud and the sub is very quiet with Trueplay on. However, turning Trueplay off and then back on while the song is playing temporarily fixes this and gives a much more balanced sound. This fix lasts until I play the next song, at which point it reverts to the unbalanced sound (until if toggle Trueplay off and on again). This issue does not exist when watching TV as far as I can tell, so increasing the sub volume would make the sub far too loud when watching TV.In case it helps, I have uploaded two sets of diagnostic data: the first (1642236
Hi all. I’m moving into a new home and id like to keep my existing setup (turntable to preamp to CXA81) and add a sonos system to it. My thought was adding a Sonos amp connected to the preamp out of the CXA81. That would theoretically allow me to play my existing system as is or purchase sonos speakers to stream throughout my house. Am I correct here? Thanks in advance.
Hello,I have a network setup, where I have a Zyxel modem connected to the ISP, with 2 WiFi APs connected in LAN ports, and an ethernet switch connected to a LAN port directly in the modem as well. The ethernet switch connects the rest of the wired devices in the house. When I wire my Sonos Beam, it creates the SonosNet mesh and the rest of the speakers connects to this, everything looks fine. After the Sonos has been connected and everything is set up, random disconnects starts happening on my network. Every device connected through the switch loses connectivity to the modem. The devices connected through the switch still has connectivity between them, but the modem seems to have dropped off the network. The WiFi APs are still online with connection to the internet though, so I know the modem is still online. And the switch is working since the devices connected can still ping other devices on the IP they had before the modem dropped. When I remove the ethernet cable from the Sonos Bea
Thank you to those who took their time to try to assist. Thank you Ken G for your pointers.I thought I would post an update that would be helpful for anyone having the same issues & share the fix.Problem - The wireless sub mini would not connect or stay connected to my wireless Beam 2.This is how it was resolved….I connected another Beam I have in the house (different room on a different floor) to the internet with a data cable into one of the Rukus satellite access points routers, that all link back to my main Drayfus router. This immediately changed my Sonos system status from WM1 to WM0 & created a SonosNet Channel now shown in my System / Network. This is the key to it working! That’s it. Added the sub mini to the system, connected to the Beam 2 in my cinema room & just like magic, it all worked. And I have to say, despite my frustrations, I’m pleased I persevered as it sounds amazing. Set up True Play & it really does sound like a cinema experience. Awesome.Sonos su
I’ve seen tons of complaints on here about the Google Assistant voice being too loud. We had the opposite problem, it was too soft. I mentioned this to my wife yesterday and she sensibly said “just tell the Assistant what you want it to do”.We have determined that this seems to work, addressing the Sonos:“Hey Google, make your voice volume lower” “Hey Google, make your voice volume louder”.On quick experimentation, the voice seems to have four or five volume level settings (it’s hard to discern this at the loudest end). You can only go up or down by one level at a time. (At the loudest level, I tried “Set your voice volume level three levels lower” and it didn’t understand.)I don’t know if this will also work to adjust volume for alarm tones. It does seem to work for the ‘acknowledgement tone’ that we have turned on. This is all running on a Sonos Beam.Hopefully not a fluke for us and works for others too. [Maybe this is not technically a question - How about we count the question as
Recently I moved one of my Sonos devices to my office. I still have two SonosOnes and a Move at home. The problem is Alexa - “she” loses most music-related functionality when I move between networks. Alexa will respond to voice prompt and do things internal like tell the time or weather. However, she no longer will pause/play/stop or adjust volume, and when I ask to play Spotify she says “OK, playing ____ from Spotify”, but no music. If I delete and restore the Sonos Skill in the Alexa app it then works, but the _OTHER_ network now has the problem. I can still play on the Sonos using Airplay from my iPhone without problems, so the issue appears to be specific to Alexa. Any ideas? Resetting the Sonos Skill twice a day is not a great solution...
Hi Sonos Community I recently bought a Lg G2 and today will receive a Sonos Arc. I’m thinking to connect to LG G2 a HDMI eARC splitter with an optical output to connect a Logitech z906. Is it posible to use Sonos arc with Logitech z906 with Lg G2? I have a Nvidia Shield TV Pro connected in HDMI port 1. I use it with Kodi and Seren addon. Where do I find a compatible HDMI eARC splitter ??many thanks for your help
Since latest update both my pc’s intermittently lose connection to the system and demand reboots of pc, router, etc. This is pretty annoying and didn’t happen with previous versions of the Windows app. I use Windows 11 latest update.on one pc and Windows 10 on the other and both have the same issue.
My posts keep being deleted without answer. Is this company just pretending there’s no problem when a quick visit to the Google Play Store shows you 1 star review after 1 star review of people saying Sonos products are now useless paperweights? Can I even get some help with my FOUR $200 SL One devices that don’t work at all? The phone app simply forgets they exist and then it’s back to factory resets to add them again. Again and again. The app is unstable rendering Sonos products unusable. Will this post also be deleted before posting?
What happened with a bass after new update??The sub is present but it is a different bass now. Like no real sub bass was present even if I crank it up in the app. It is not only the volume issue. IT IS A SOUND QUALITY THING!!!The bass feels cheap now. I am listening to lot of music and now I can’t stand the sound.SONOS can you fix it?? Or should I sell my system?Bring back the HiFi sound!!! Bring back the sub bass!!!
Why do I often get where I am u able to get a hold of someone for the 24/7 support? I'm calling right now and being told by a recording that it is after hours. There is no after hours with 24/7 support. Lol. I'm trying to get a warranty issue started before the item goes out of warranty.
Hello,With the recent 14.12 S2 Update there is a bug in the sub settings when using Trueplay, and I've pinpointed the problem. I wanted to pass along this information to the company to ensure that the specifics of the issue are known. It’s likely that most people may not notice this, or bother asking Sonos about it, but this is a real difference between 14.12 and the previous versions. My current setup has an Arc, Sub(Gen1), and 2 Play1's. Using a white noise generator to review these differences. I'm controlling the sub settings on my iPad Pro while recording on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I've run Trueplay twice since the update, and get the same results both times. Both Trueplay runs were with my iPhone as my iPad Pro does not have support yet. Once updated to 14.12, you are prompted to re-run Trueplay. But Trueplay has a bug in this new update. I tested the frequencies with Trueplay On and then Off without changing the volume on the App. The only setting modified is the "
Hi All,When I first purchased my Sonos system, I remember I could hear a simulated surround sound coming from my rear speakers when playing PCM Stereo on my TV.I realized a few months ago that now, when I play PCM Stereo content, my surround speakers stay completely silent. The sound only comes from the Beam and the Sub mini. When I play music or Dolby Digital 5.1 content on my Apple TV, the surrounds work perfectly.I recently read a thread on reddit and this article made me realize that this situation is not normal. I should hear a simulated surround sound for ambient audio. I’ve tried to chat with a support representative and the person I had told me, to my great surprise, that surrounds speakers only works when playing 5.1 content.Any Ideas ?Many thanks for your help ! My setup : Sony Bravia TV, Apple TV 4K, Beam Gen 1, One SL*2, Sub mini.
I am having problems with the search field in the Sonos Android app S2. The problem is that when I type something into the search field, after a few characters the text gets selected, and than the next character that you type deletes the already inserted text. Hard to explain, but watch the inserted Youtube movie, where I am trying to search for Supertramp. The problem occurs on all my devices: Samsung S22 Ultra, Oneplus 6, Oneplus 3, Motorola g7. Also my wife's Oneplus 8Pro, which uses my Sonos account. The problem does NOT occur on my iPad Air 4.So it would be safe to say that it is not device-dependant. It is driving me crazy, it is impossible to search this way. What I have tried so far:new install of app empty cache of app empty data of app clean install (on my new S22 Ultra) Different soft-keyboards, with all settings tried out (auto correct, autofill, spell-check). Hardware keyboard Voice command Deleting music servicesNothing helped, what can I try more?Is my account corrupt
