I use the Sonos Voice Control feature and really enjoy it. I have a Move with a microphone, but my Roam and two Connects don’t have mics. I’d like to be able to use the Voice Control feature via the Sonos controller app on my phone to control all my Sonos products (the Move is in another part of the house that doesn’t always pickup voice commands).
Hello,I just bought a used GL-AR300M16-ext from a guy on eBay. The guy I bought it from said that the unit came with a Sonos system he got from Costco. I'm unable to factory reset the device such that it presents the initial login screen as described here:https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/3/setup/mini_router/first_time_setup/using the Repair or Reset procedures found here:https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/2/troubleshooting/reset/I've tried the password reset procedure at least 10 times but the device's web page always asks for a password. I suspect the device has a custom firmware on it to support the Sonos implementation. Does anyone know what the default password might be in this configuration? Thanks in advance!Rob
My modest system is a Virgin 360 box HDMI into my JVC 50” tv with an ethernet-wired Beam Gen 2 (with ONE SL surrounds) connected via eARC.The issue I had was that the volume display kept popping up on the TV every 20 or 30 seconds.Really annoying.I noticed that this issue stopped if the sat box was not connected or if I connected the Beam via Optical so clearly the sat box was constantly handshaking with the Beam via CEC. I tried turning off the CEC control on the Virgin box (“helpfully” called One Button) but it made no difference. So, on the suggestion from another post on here, I bought a HDMI CEC remover adapter for £8 on Amazon, inserted it between the Virgin box and the TV, and the issue was resolved. This was after several support calls to Sonos and no progress. I understand that it wasn’t strictly speaking a Sonos issue so their support didn’t extend but it’s clearly a “fix” that will be of use to many of their customer base and ought to be a suggestion on their diagnostics scri
Hello Everyone, I used a Boost (wired to the Router) to create the Sonos Mesh (SonosNet) for (4) Play 1 devices all wireless. Looking at the Sonos Network Matrix, each Play 1 including the Boost showed OFDM ANI levels of 8-9 with each column box fire engine red. I removed the Boost (unpowered), unplugged each Play 1 and then powered them back up eliminating the Sonos Mesh. My Router showed that each Play 1 connected to the 5 ghz Band on my Network. Looking at the Sonos Network Matrix again, OFDM ANI levels dropped to zero and each column box green as grass. My question is, did I effectively take care of my noise level issue or is the Matrix unable to detect/record OFDM ANI levels when devices are connected to WiFi?
Can I use Sonos in Restaurant with 36 ceiling speakers based on computation if we do 4 spekars per AMP I need 9 AMP then they say I can link this AMP via Switch with 1GB port is this workable?
For anyone reading along here, please note that this is a very bad idea for a number of reasons, the most important being:1: It’s dangerous, potentially resulting in serious injury or death. Please do not open the speakers, as they can still carry a charge despite being powered off / unplugged.2: You are breaking your warranty: Sonos Terms of Sale3: Sonos can’t help you fix it.Hi, I had destroyed my sonos play 5 gen 2. I made a mistake which caused power supply of 400V.Then I found the very usefull youtube video explaining met how to repair. The 3.15 A fuse and the varistor where dead. After replacing them the speaker was able to power on.But the sound is not well. It produces almost no mid and high tones. I have disconnected the three base speakers and found it does give a little bit of mid and high tones. All three speakers are working. But not at normal levels. Does anyone have a next step for me? Or can I buy the complete repaired board somewere?
It’s imperative I preface this by saying I know this isn’t a proper set up for Surround Sound with ambient speakers behind the listener, I’m more interested in how it will sound for playing music in stereo.I’m dealing with a small room and 1 subwoofer, I want the best sound I can get using the HiFi Set of Fives, a sound bar, and the Subwoofer (which I already own) and I’d like to use this 5.1 setup with the Fives pointed at the listener, not from behind (there’s no room and I’m really more interested in Stereo Music than the quality of the TV sound). When I want to play music I’ll set the Music Playback option to “Full” and when I want to watch a movie I’ll set the Music Playback option to “Ambient”.My question is does anyone else have their ambient speakers, 2-Fives in my case, set facing the listener and what is the sound quality for “playing music” like when you have the “ambient” speakers facing the listener?thank you again Sonophiles
The amp has no power. Is there an internal fuse for this unit? Has anyone taken one apart?
Hello everyone,I simply cannot find the Ocean Sounds radio, through the Sonos App.I think I’m missing something… could someone tell me the path to reach it?
Hello: A couple of weeks ago I asked about the possibility of adding 2 one sl due to the configuration of my living room and during this time I have been reading several options and I would like to know what you have or what you recommend as best value. I can only one thing and I am considering these 3 alternatives to improve a sonos beam 2 in a living room of about 3,5 x 2,5 mt2 one SL to left (1,5m) and right (1m) of the sofa 2 Symfonisk to left and right of the sofa Sub mini (2 mt in front of me) what would be a good choice as a first system upgrade? 90% of its use would be for TV rather than music. Thank you very muchRegards
Hello, I was wondering if I could to improve the quality of sound out of my large tower speakers by connecting my first Sonos amp to the lower speaker terminals at the back of the speaker, and then adding a second sonos amp and connecting those outputs to the upper terminals on the back of the same speakers. Has anyone done this? Did you get any measurable improvement?
In the Sonos iOS/iPad OS apps, is there any way to jump from an explicit version of an album to the clean version, or vice versa?Often I will find the explicit version of an album — perhaps because I listened to it recently when my children were at school — but I would like to listen to the clean version once they’re home. As far as I can tell, there’s no way to jump from one to the other… is there?
getting an lg c2 83. for time being (until move and can wall mount) it will be sitting on media unit using the stand with sonos arc beneath it. specs look like the arc will come just above tv bezel. was wondering if anyone has this setup (any c2 using stand and an arc) and can comment and/or post a pic. was looking to see if must get a sanus table stand or the like for time being...thanks in advance :)(and i looked, so sorry if repeat and missed)
Hi, I bought the Beam Gen2 shortly after it came out. Ever since it has periodically lost connection to my WiFi for no apparent reason. I can’t get the system to connect again now at all. It’s not right that a premium product like this requires a factory reset every month or so. Has anyone else experienced this and do you have any hints or tips to make the system more stable?
For shame, Sonos. For shame, Sonos. How many years have you been leaking memory on macOS? Do your developers not know about freeing allocated memory? Any plans for making the controller not hoard memory on my machines?
Sonos gives a warranty or 2 years but other brands like bose gives 5 years warranty. Should that impact the decision of which brands to buy? for current sonos speakers’ owners, is sonos a long life product or does it create some problems after a couple of years?
Hi All, I purchased a used Play 5 Gen 1 a couple of weeks ago, all good until today and now no sign of powering on, anyone know if this is a known fault or problem.
I just bought a new Sonos Arc. How do I connect both TV and Receiver toit without running the TV through the receiver? New Sony TV has an HDMI eArc port.
I use my whole-home Sonos setup exclusively for music. My music library is fairly diverse, and of varying quality in terms of how it was mastered. As a result, I like to adjust the EQ on my speakers frequently, but digging into four “Product” sets to them scroll down to EQ and adjust each individually is a bit of a pain. A global/system-wide EQ adjustment would be really helpful for this. Works great for the volume slider, so it stands to reason it would also work fine for the bass slider too. Anyone else interested in such a feature? Any chance we could see that in a future update?
I have had the Sonos Arc for the better part of a year. I recently purchased 2 One SL speakers to get a better surround sound feel. I connected all 3 of the devices, but the One SL speakers put out very minimal sound. I went through the forum to increase the volume, but it did not work. Does anyone in the community know how to get the volume on these 2 speakers to increase? Thanks!
Bonjour j ai un soucis avec mon installation , d'un coup le son se mets a fond et en saturation sans raison et je suis obligé de le débrancher pour que sa revienne a la normale merci pour vos réponses

hello,i am formally requesting to add separate SUB level control for music and TV. The sub volume for TV is great but way too low for music! everytime i listen to music i have to increase sub, then reduce when i watch TV. please add individual sub control, i dont see a down side to this. i’m requesting the same implementation as the surrounds currently have.
Merci d’avance…
I have a QNAP 4 bay NAS with 3 x Samsung EVO SSD, one of the drives is dedicated to MP3.Setup is a combination of Play 3’s (Wireless and Hardwired), Playbar (Hardwired) IKEA Sonos (Wireless and Hardwired) I was having constant problems with any speaker either hardwired or wireless dropping out, songs skipping and just general unreliability. Sometimes it would play a song for 20 seconds then skip to the next, it would do this every day some days it went on for hours, a lot of times the app would come up cannot play ?? as file couldn’t be found. I thought it might have had something to do with my house Double Brick and concrete slabs on both levels, once I worked out it was doing it on the hardwired devices that ruled out a wireless problem.I suspected the NAS was causing the problem as there wasn’t any other devices in the loop, thing is, it all worked perfectly fine before I moved into this house. The only change I made when moving here, was replace the hard drives in the NAS with SS
