I had a Sonos arc connected to my wifi before. I am trying to add a sub and 2 more Sonos amps to power the in ceiling Sonos speakers. When I add the new devices, they go through the set up process, but right before being added to the wifi network, they throw an error something like, “The device was added to network. But it may not show up in system. Try add product to continue”. But I wont be able to add them. After trying factory reset around 50 times, I was able to add 1 more amp into the system. But no luck with sub and the other amp. I have a Google Nest Mesh router which is connected to Verizon Fios Router(which is in Bridge mode). When I looked up the devices connected to routers. The devices show up in the sonos amp have an ip in the format 192.168.1.**. But the devices that dont show up in the Sonos amp are only found in Google Home router page with ip address in the format of 192.168.86.**.I spent over 2 hours with customer care already. They did nothing but factory reset facto
Hi, I have a small dedicated basement movie room with a 65” screen wall mounted. Room is 3m (10ft) x 4m (14ft) and we watch across the 3m, so quite close.I want to install the best possible Atmos experience from Sonos and love to listen loud. What is the ideal set up for this room??
New User, New Beam Gen 2 hook up help. There are so many threads and great info here on the forum and I have spent hours reading through them and thanks for all that post. I guess I'm a bit lost or confused somewhat on the set up so, perhaps you folks could chime in on our set up . Here is how I have it set up as of yesterday:Nvidia Shield is connected to HDMI 3 to my LG Oled C2 TV. I have the beam connected through the HDMI 2 Port ARC to the Sonos gen 2 HDMI port. I do not have any Surround sound set up as yet, I will probably get a sub but for now I guess you can say all we have is the Sonos sound bar connected. I was having a problem getting any sound at all so I contacted Sonos (great support) and we got the Beam working but I am not sure what audio I am actually getting The LG is set to Sound HDMI to Wired external device. The format that shows on the Beam is PCM 2.0 …. My content is a mixtures of content sent from the Shield that can be a number of services like Amaz
Has anyone connected a Plenue R player to stereo paired Moves via bluetooth. It seems I can only connect to one speaker or the other. The player does not seem to recognize a paired set and stream to both. Is this just something wrong in how I set up the stereo pairing? Is there a way to make a bluetooth device recognize the pair as just one device? Any suggestions?
I have spent thousands on Sonos product and I resent the fact that Sonos Radio is being shoved down my throat. Please let me turn it off, hide it or move it to the bottom of the list. It sucks and is in the way. It is wrong of Sonos and their developers to not allow customers to choose their own services.
Until my new Roam was delivered, I connected my Marley Stir It Up turntable via Bluetooth to my Move, and experienced reliable, excellent quality audio, with no audio problems whatsoever.Since receiving my new Roam, I have paired the Roam to the turntable, and use the Switch mode to connect to the Sonos network to pay the Bluetooth audio on the other Sonos speakers on my network (Beam, Move, and 2 x Symphonisk Lamp Speakers). The system works exactly as expected, but at random intervals I experience audio dropouts on one or more of the Sonos speakers. I have tested the system thoroughly using streaming media sources and do not experience any dropouts whatsoever. The Roam is within 1m of the turntable, so I’m confident the Bluetooth is not disconnecting, and the Wifi network is excellent in this small apartment. The problem only occurs when using the Roam to bring the Bluetooth audio source onto the Sonos network.Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Hi all and sorry for the long post!I am honestly at a loss right now. I have a Samsung Q90R TV, which does now officially support HDMI 2.1 and eARC, and a Sonos Arc sound bar. While I can get normal ARC working and hear sound perfectly, this obviously creates latency issues and there is a slight lip sync issue which drives me nuts!So as far as I’m aware, I need an HDMI 2.1 certified cable for eARC to work. No problem, I tested my setup with the HDMI cable that came with the Sonos Arc (which is HDMI 2.1) and then suddenly eARC turns on and all is well! However, the problem is that I need a cable that is 15 meters (50 feet) long and also supports HDMI 2.1. So I research and find that to get those sort of speeds at that length you need a fiber HDMI cable. So I bought one from KabelDirekt, that is certified and has the legit HDMI 2.1 certification sticker, meaning that in theory it should work perfectly. However, to my dismay, when I try and use it I can only get traditional ARC and eARC re
I have a Yamaha receiver with 2 zones. 1 zone is equipped with 7.1 speakers in home theater setup and zone 2 is 2 speakers only. what is the best way to bring streaming music to these 2 zones? can i just put a Sonos Amp and isolate it to bring streaming music?
I’m not sure how to word my question, but here it goes however, I don’t want to ‘hear’ any comments that blames someone else.I would like to know the technical process that explains why compatible and connected devices cannot piggyback on each other for full control. For example, I open Sonos using my iPhone. I have the Amazon Music app on my phone; Amazon Music shows on the Browse screen in the app, and plays perfectly. I also have the Amazon Music app on my Apple Watch which can control the music on my phone. So my question is, why can’t I control the Amazon music playing on Sonos which is connected to my phone, using my Apple Watch? I’m logged in to Amazon in Sonos and my phone and the Amazon Music app is on my watch and is connected to my phone. If Sonos has granted access to my Amazon Music account and my phone app is open and logged in, I just want to understand why the devices can’t be linked and utilized.
Why can’t you use 2 sub mini’s in a system? This seems a perfect solution…
It’s been a while since people asked a similar question, but perhaps advice has evolved. Is there a workaround to make a single RF TV remote control Playbar volume (IR). I realise they won’t communicate natively, but is there a good workaround. TV is Loewe Bild i.55 and gorgeous remote uses RF
In order to listen to Spotify, I have to delete and reload the Sonos app, and reboot my router every time. After six months of this, I’m almost ready to move on to a different system. Has anyone found an effective solution?
Right or Wrong? Does connecting Gen1 Play 5's together via Cat 5 actually improve the transfer of data? Note, not connected to the router, just in a bank together. I'm guessing that if they are connected via Cat 5 then one of the 4 acts as the receiver that talks to Sonos Bridge on WiFi? Configuration below... Room (1) Router > Cat 5 > Sonos Bridge Gen 1 Room (2) Sonos Play 5 Gen 1 x 4, all connected to each other via Cat 5 Cable
In the Sonos “Home Theater” section of the website, Sonos sells different combinations of products, sold as “sets” for home theater setups. The “Arc” and the “Beam” soundbars have built-in voice control, so when using other Sonos speakers with voice control as rear speakers with these soundbars, the voice control is disabled on the rear speakers. For this reason, it makes no sense for Sonos to bundle the Sonos One (with voice control) with a soundbar that already has voice control, but that is what they have done… The “Immersive Set with Arc” = Arc + Sub + two Sonos One speakers (whose voice control will be disabled, making them the same as two Sonos One SL speakers) The “Immersive Set with Beam” = Beam + Sub + two Sonos One speakers (whose voice control will be disabled, making them the same as two Sonos One SL speakers) The “Premium Home Theater Completion Set with One” = Sub + two Sonos One speakers (whose voice control will be disabled when using to complete an Arc of Beam home t
Good afernoon. What happens if I install an external Full MQA DAC between the Sonos Port and the receiver, would the DAC perform the last stage of decompression or would I still be limited to the maximum Sonos sampling frequency which is 48 kHz?
I just hooked up and finally got the Arc working. in my opinion, unless I am missing something the Arc is in NO way worth $900!My Arc only displays 5.1 in the S2 app NOT ATMOS!One of the multiple seemingly all foreign( I mention foreign due to our language differences and therefore difficulties of communication) Sonos employees I tried to get the Arc working with , said ATMOS is just marketing and no different or better than Dolby Digital 5.1. I am seriously thinking of returning the Arc and buying some self powered Yamaha HS8 studio speakers for $800. In my opinion the the dynamics, sound quality, and overall enjoyment will be far superior with 2 quality self driven studio monitors. For less $.Prove me wrong? What do you think is a better way to go for the $900 usd. I’m just trying to be honest and factual. All productive comments are welcome! No BS or propanda please. Thank you and best wishes to all.
Can I use a pair of Fives as surrounds with my Arc? Does anyone have that setup? Will it be better than using 2 Ones? thanks
Since last year I’m having issues streaming YouTube Music and YouTube (audio only) to my Sonos devices. I was able to stream YouTube to my Ones as well as to Sound bar paired with older Sonos 1s. Now when I try to stream something from YouTube (using my phone) content is being stopped and there is this “sad” face screen in YouTube. The same is when I try to stream anything from YouTube Music using Sonos App.I read some funny answers on this forum (like try to remove and re-add YouTube Music - yeah tried that, and it didn’t work) but no real answer why YouTube-related apps don’t play well on Sonos. All I have is “Unable to play “song title here” - unable to connect to YouTube Music.Oh.. and the Error logs, here you go: Monday, February 6, 2023 - 9:11 AM Central TimeUnable to play 'Sacrifice' - unable to connect to YouTube Music.Monday, February 6, 2023 - 9:11 AM Central TimeUnable to play 'Sacrifice' - unable to connect to YouTube Music.Monday, February 6, 2023 - 9:11 AM Central TimeUnabl
I am having problems with an update on my "Living Room" which is a Sonos Beam plus 2x Play1 as surround sound speakers. But the update does not go through. Any ideas?
i'm trying to figure out is sonosnet is right for me….i do not want to use the 2.4gz band. i have a new wifi 6 router and no other devices in the home that utilize that bandwith. What happens when i disable the 2.4gz bandwidth in my router, attatch one sonos speaker to the router with an ethernet cable? will the sonos system still craate its own mesh 2.4gz system independently of how the router settings are set. I'm hoping that would be the case….that way, i would have a sonosnet 2.4gz system running invisibly in the background where non of my devices would attempt to connect to it. i could utilize my 5gz with all the rest of the my devices and not have to worry about any interference. if the sonos system is running on its own private band, how will i control the system when my primary device (cellphone) will be connect to the 5gz network and the sonos will be connected to its own mesh? appreciate any insight on the matter.. gg
Using Sonos S2 app with Apple Music service, signed into my Apple account.Navigation: Sonos app > Music icon (Browse) > Apple Music > ArtistsStarting Saturday morning, all of my Apple Music favorite artists started showing in the Artists section of the Sonos app, as opposed to only the artists whose albums I’ve added to my Apple Music Library. I now have a long list of artists with no songs/albums to play. This is making it difficult to find specific albums i added to my library, sorted by artist name.If I go to Albums instead, only the library albums are displayed (as expected), but they’re displayed in alphabetical order of album title, not by artist > album.Anyone else having this issue? Any recommendations to fix or work around it?
I have mostly Amazon Echo devices in my house, with the exception of two Sonos One speakers working as a stereo pair in my living room. Every Echo speaker is in an Alexa group “Everywhere” so I can play music “everywhere” in my house.Except the Sonos One speakers aren’t listed as available for the speaker group. I’ve heard that it’s the fault of Amazon for not allowing third-party speakers to be integrated into speaker groups in Alexa. I’ve also heard that it’s Sonos integration that’s to blame and that there are other third party speakers that can be part of a speaker group. Is there a solution? And if so, how do I get my Sonos One speaker pair onto my “everywhere” group? If not, what’s the update, Sonos? What would be involved for your speakers to be available for speaker groups through the Alexa app?
