I have a 10-node Sonos setup. I am a heavy user of the local music library on my PC, which has over 150GB of tracks. The music library debacle has hit me hard. About every two weeks it starts giving me errors and I have to go through the flaky process of deleting and reestablishing it. I am wondering if my life would be any easier if I just got a NAS and moved it over there. Can anyone say for sure whether this would avoid the local music library issues I’m having and/or is a reliable overall solution with the current (lousy) software?FWIW, I am on Windows 10 and 11 devices. We also use Android and IOS apps but try not to because they are unreliable. If you have a recommendation, please let me know the specs of your setup. Thanks.
When using the Sonos App to select music sources and types and what music is playing in the queue, there is a small tick box showing which one can either check or de-select:Does anyone in the Sonos community know the intended function of this box?
I just recently added Port to my Sonos system so I can connect my Denon receiver and Boston Acoustics speakers to my Sonos system. The “line out” function seems to work as expected - I connected line our from Port to aux audio input on my receiver and can now stream on my old system concurrently with my Sonos speakers. I would also like to output from my receiver to the port and out to my Sonos speakers throughout my house. I have not been able to get this to work. I connected an audio out on my receiver to line in on Port and got no sound or very weak sound on delay. It seams like this should work. Based on product description, it seems like Port should be able to broadcast audio from my receiver to the entire Sonos network. I called Sonos phone support and they said Port can’t do this. I don’t believe this is correct because under line in in the Sonos app “receiver” is an option. Does anyone have any help for me with this problem? Thank you.
Hi guys, I just bought a new Amp for my office. My phone can connect to Wifi normally, but when setting up Amp at the password entry step, the App says I entered the wrong password.I have consulted with the articles about Sonos system requirements and I have met all of them.https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-system-requirementsI have checked in the router, my phone uses data normally, Sonos can also connect but cannot receive IP. Can anyone tell me what this issue is and how to fix it?
I was upstairs today in my drum room, when I played music on my 5’s the tv Sonos system turned off any ideas?

I have 3 Sonos One and a Beam. All been fine until last few days. Now asking either Alexa or Sonos voice to play my music or BBC radio one - says ‘now playing..etc’ but then nothing plays. Have disconnected, reconnected, rebooted etc and the only thing that works is controlling via the app. very frustrating- any ideas?
I’m using an Apple Studio M2 Max and a Sonos Arc without any sub or surrounds, connected to an LG TV through HDMI eArc. I need help setting up MacOS’s “Audio Midi Setup” program.Currently I use the format: 6ch 24 bit integer 48.0 kHz and have the speakers configured as 5.1if I choose 8ch 24 bit integer 48.0 kHz I can configure the speakers as Atmos 5.1.2but when I try to apply this, I get an “Overlapping Channels” error.Does anyone know what setting I should be using in Audio MIDI Setup for the best sound?
I when playing the volume at a low level, Alexa follows the volume level. In my opinion, Alexa needs to be set at a consistent level to be able to utilize her responses. Please provide an update to the app where the volume of the assistant can remain at a consistent level.
Hello,I use some old Sonos S1 units and they have worked fine until recently. Yesterday I wanted to connect a second device by cable to try to create additional stability, but since then I have not been able to connect to my Sonos system. I've just turned off the power on my router and on my Sonos devices and turned them back on. I have tried to connect to one Sonos device at a time, but the Sonos S1 app keeps saying that the system cannot be found. I've also reset the app and it hasn't changed anything. I also reset one of the devices. What could have happened? Thanks in advance.
Sonos One microphone stopped working.Alexa still announces reminders, yet it does not respond to voice commands. The microphone has been turned off and on; the device has been unplugged and restarted; I even went as far as restoring the device to factory settings (which I have learned may not have been the best idea). I also deleted the Alexa service and then added the service back with the speaker announcing that the service has been “successfully added and the device is ready to use.” Microphone is still dead.
Is anyone else suffering from not being able to add a speaker pair room to a group? I have " everywhere" group and the wonderful new app refuses to save the change when I add kitchen to the group. Any ideas?
I must be missing something.Updating my sonos software should not take this much effort.I come home from an extended time away. I open my sonos app and get this message *There are no devices on your network" go to settings to update whatever. So I go to settings and sonos finds my devices and I choose the first object it finds by serial number. I choose it and sonos tells me it is a sonos 1 SL. Ok I only have 4 of them in different rooms of my house. So I choose it and sonos does it's thing and I tell it to go ahead and play a sound. I think I hear a chime and I run to the room it is in only to be told I took to long to go up a flight of stairs. So I ask sonos to do it again. It does it's sonar bulls*** and I have to turn my phone around so it can speak clearly into the f****** microphone. It finds it and tells me to push a button. So I go get a ladder because it is up near the ceiling and press the button. Now sonos asks me for a password. I enter the password and am asked would you l
How to connect Sonos Beam 2 to a mobile hotspot? I use a mobile network as the main source of internet at home, also for connecting other devices.
Hi allI currently use a Sonos Amp to power two wired front speakers.I want to make a 4.1 setup as home theater by adding a sub and two ceiling speakers above sofa.Is that something that Amp can manage and do you think the two ceiling speakers will give good home theater performance? Many thanks!

I have a Sonos beam with 2 x Sonos One - recently they have stopped working - I did the hard reset on both, one is working the other is now on another system & I am unable to pair them with the beam to create surround sound? I’ve tried everything, i.e. remove surrounds, factory reset on all sonos including the beam? I’ve ‘forget this system’ but nothing works?
Hello! I set up a new Sonos Ray today. Tv Remote connected without problems, and I can control volume. But the mute button doesn’t work. Older (10 years) JVC TV. Any suggestions?
Some tracks play with distorted sound on my Sonos speakers, while others are fine. What could be causing this issue?
I have two WiFi networks coming from one router. The first one “WiFi A” I give guests the password so they can use WiFi. But “WiFi B” remains private and only I have the password. How can I make connection to the port only possible if you are connected to “WiFi B”?

Lots of closed threads with incomplete information about UPnP support.I see two options in the Sonos app for Media Servers: Show Media Servers (toggle)Show UPnP Servers (toggle) UPnP is a pretty long standing solution. There is a lot of confusion about whether Sonos supports DLNA. DLNA is a superset of UPnP and Sonos does NOT support DLNA. So if you have a DLNA server, Sonos won’t see it, unless it is ALSO a UPnP server? This seems backwards. UPnP is the older standard. DLNA is supposed to be UPnP plus additional useful stuff. Apparently, this additional useful stuff may be preventing Sonos from seeing it?My confusion is further exacerbated by the other toggle, Media Servers, in the Sonons controller app. Which media servers are those? Is there a list? For that matter, are the any UPnP servers that Sonos does NOT support?Asset UPNP works fine. But JRiver Media Center, which supports both UPnP and the larger DLNA protocol, is not recognized.Since I cannot find an documentation
Hi. Since the update to the Sonos app, I have had issues with connecting to Apple Music. Each time I switch my Sonos speakers on, Apple Music won’t connect/play and the Sonos app won’t let me remove Apple Music to reconnect it.My only choice has been to change my Apple ID multiple times, forcing the app to need to re authorise Apple Music.Any advice for fixing this issue so that I don’t need to keep resetting my Apple ID would be awesome. Thanks 🙏
