Hi all good people. Can i get some input of what route to go. If some of you have scrolled around my questions i’m gonna let the ones that didn’t a little brief.Tree different rooms, only one with a home cinema-status.The other two rooms got both Panasonic 2010-mod and Apple Tv 4k.I will get the Arc in a few months,so one of the two rooms will have a Beam G2 transfere from my precence home cinema setup. The final room would like to get a soundbar as well, but i’m not sure what to get. It probobly would be a budget system. I allready got Ikea Bookshelf’s for surround, and i will probobly gonna get a Gen2/3.So….do you people recomend the Playbar or the Playbase? Or is the Ray so much better that these options. The price is basicly the same for these items here in Norway.
I just added a sub mini to my arc. Why does the sound go out or fades seemingly at random times. Thanks in advance!
How can I play my itunes playlists on Sonos One’s?
For about the sixth time this week the Sonos system has become invisible to the Sonos app - on Desktop (and occasionally on the Android App). However Spotify detects the device. On occasion Spotify cannot detect the device but the Sonos App can…..Madness….I have set fixed IP addresses for the Sonos devices as previously suggested. Rebooted router (ASUS Restarted Devicesetc etcI can’t keep doing this ad infinitum…..
Good day everyone,Apologies if this is a common topic/issue, but its a bit of an odd one.So I have client at a restaurant that has had me in to do some work primarily with their POS ipads and receipt printers. While there, I setup a new ipad for their upstairs bar and asked me if it was possible to push different music up stairs than down as they sometimes do different events upstairs that require a different mood/soundtrack.I checked the site over and found they physically have 3 Amps onsite, one downstairs and two upstairs. According to what I saw on the Sonos Central app, they are called:DownstairsEvent Space 1Event Space 2They don’t appear to be grouped from what I could. So here is what I’ve done to test things out:-Client uses Spotify to stream music (paid account with 2 seats), in my test I used both the ipad for upstairs and downstairs.-I first opened the Sonos app on the downstairs which was already set to stream to downstairs and got one of their play lists going.-Next I open
We have a Huawei b535 4g router, uses a sim card, and our phones and pc can connect to the internet without problems. We can play our sonos musc on the phone over the play:3 speakers. But we cannot connect to Spotify and we cannot even enter the network menu in the settings. The error is "having trouble connecting to the internet". We have tried having the speaker connected with an ethernet connection and with wifi, no difference. We are using a 2.4 gh wifi with the mode set to b/g/n and a wpa/wpa2 security. Does anyone have any suggestions.
Hello Everyone,I have a Beam Gen 2 connected via EARC to my Sony X90J TV.We watch TV via an HDHomeRun where channels here in Australia broadcast in MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 with different audio formats like PCM 2.0, DD 2.0, DD 5.1 etc.Sound quality and volume varies a lot on the different channels. Sometime a volume setting of 34 is OK while others it can be up at the 60 mark. Even at higher settings it is difficult to understand what is being said.Add to this we live in a duplex which renders the use of loud volumes being not an option. My thought was to buy a couple of One SL Speakers and place them at either end of the lounge where we sit and watch TV.So my question is would this help or am I just wasting my money?TIA
How hard is it for a company of this size to stay on top of iOS firmware updates? When iOS 17 was released and I purchased a new iPhone 15 Pro Max, the Sonos app wasn’t compatible, and TruePlay tuning was disabled—for what seemed like forever. Now we’re back to the same thing with iOS 17.1–after a lengthy beta cycle and plenty of time for Sonos to make adjustments to their app to be compatible way ahead of the firmware release date, here I am with two new ERA 300s to go with my Arc and sub, and I can’t tune them because the existing app on the App Store still isn’t compatible. Sonos, have you gone to the review section of your app on the iPhone App Store, changed the sorting view from most relevant to most recent, and perused the thousands of one and two star reviews you have, along with the nearly infinite number of consumer complaints that continue to post day after day, month after month? If thousands of small fry app developers can keep up with the cycle of beta releases and relea
Hi @ All,Yesterday I received my pair of Sonos Era 300 and after I installed them on the stands I immediately noticed that the build quality of both speakers is not what I expect from Sonos as it seems that the backplate is somehow not even installed on both of my speakers.I googled it and it seems that this concert more people:https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/1253qem/era_300_manufacturer_defect/Can some Era 300 owners confirm that they also have this problem?
I am having trouble at a client location where Sirius XM radio stops playing without any warning. This can happen if a device updates and can happen for unknown reasons. What I would like is a way to set a SONOS zone to a station and have it play continuously, forever, as long as it is able. That means, if a source is interrupted or stopped for any reason, it would resume playing on its own. It would repeatedly try to re-connect to the stream. Since the looping playlist button is grayed out during station play, perhaps replace it with a persistent play button to effectively do the same thing and play forever.I have seen a lot of complaints about Sirius XM radio and even Spotify on these forums, and this is a simple feature SONOS could add to their devices that would band-aid this problem for everyone - if people have some reason why their stream is interrupted, it would auto-resume, perhaps with a 1 minute retry interval.Does SONOS read these forums and use them to build new feature
I have a newly installed Unifi setup. My Sonos works perfectly in all rooms, but the app seems to lose rooms occasionally. Playback isn’t affected and everything works perfectly from a hardware perspective, it’s just i cannot control them from the app from time to time. It’s very intermittent and seems to have something to do with my phone roaming between access points. Sometimes if i move to another access point, then the sonos app finds everything again. Is there a setting i am missing? Everything else on my network works perfectly. I have been chatting to support but they can’t help. it’s the usual story of reset this etc… never works. Case numbe4r is 0545883. Diagnostics are on this case number I have the following Unifi Setup:1 x Unifi Dream Router (UDR)3 x U6+ Wired Access Points (AP’s)2 of the AP’s are wired directly to the UDR. 1 of the AP’s is wired to a network switch that is then patched to the UDR.Sonos:Bedroom: 1 x Play 1Hall: 1 x Play 1Kitchen: 2 x Play 1 (stereo pair)Tank
So I bought the Arc and used trueplay, like others I’m not getting any sense of height watching Atmos content. Ceiling is 8 feet high and flat and I’m sitting 6 feet away Arc is 6 feet from ceiling. I plan on adding rear speakers but not a sub as the room may be too small, any ideas? and are the rear speakers worth getting?
Many threads are talking about the own internet streams one cannot define anymore due to the end of the ‘old’ TuneIn. One solution was to push those streams to the favorites.Ok, so far not so good. One question remain : how to edit the so called favorites if those internet streams are modified in one way or another?
Have a question that so far Sonos support hasn’t been able to help me with. We have six rooms in the house with in-ceiling third party speakers powered by their own Sonos Amp (so six Sonos Amps). In addition we have two rooms with 5.1 surround sound driven by their respective Pioneer Elite VSX-LX105 Receivers (works with Sonos compatible) connected to Sonos Ports. If I want to use any of the Sonos Amps as a source for the rest of the house via grouping I have no problem having that music/sound playing through the two rooms with the Sonos Ports.HOWEVER, I want to be able to use either of the Pioneer Receivers (via the Sonos Ports) as a source to play through the Sonos Amps as well. So for example, if I was watching a game on one of the TVs connected to the Pioneer Receiver/Port and I wanted to also play that same game through the rest of the house via grouping. I haven’t been able to find a lot of specific documentation on the topic, but from what I have been able to find online this
As I understand, playing Tidal HiFi Plus through the Sonos app gives us max CD quality audio, up to 16-bit, 44.1 kH.But, when using the Tidal App on a Samsung Smart TV connected to a Sonos Amp over HDMI, what audio quality can then be passed through?Same question when having Tidal App on an Apple TV 4k with HDMI to the same Samsung TV and then HDMI to a Sonos Amp. With Tidal HiFi Plus, what quality can be passed through?Thank you.Per Dahlin
I am looking for a corner, articulating mounting bracket for my sonos move
Some of my connects will not play music
Hi, I have a Samsung Smart TV with Google Chromecast 4K. Since I connected the Sonos Arc to my TV (and therefore with Google Chromecast) I have a lot of flickering/black screen when I turn on the TV and chromecast. When I disconnect the hdmi of the Arc, then the flickering stops. So it has something to do with the Sonos Arc/Chromecast.Does anyone has a solution for this problem? Thanks in advance!
Hi, I am looking to purchase 2 in-ceiling mounted speakers and amp + Sonos Beam + Era100.Can I set up a Group that includes the ceiling speakers and Era 100 and another group that may include the Sonos Beam and In-Celing Speakers
Hi I recently purchased a Sonos Roam, enabled Alexa and am trying to use it alongside my existing Echo devices. One issue I ran into was that I wasn’t able to use the Global Player skill from within Alexa e.g. Alexa, play Smooth UK - it starts trying to play the station but get a message saying there is a problem listening to the music.I managed to fix it by saying Alexa, ask Global Player to turn off HD Radio. This works but the sound quality isn’t as good as when I play the station directly from within the Sonos app, plus I have to disable HD radio for all my other Echo devices too. The difference is slight but is noticeable especially around bass notes when playing classical music. I bought the Sonos device for it’s superior audio so am a little annoyed I have to dial it down to make it work. Can someone help me understand if this is a bug that might be fixed or intentional, maybe to protect Sonos HD Radio which is a premium subscription?Tim.
It appears that Sonos is having a sale this weekend… https://www.engadget.com/sonos-home-theater-sets-are-up-to-20-percent-off-this-weekend-174800255.html
Current set up in living room:75” TVSKY Q Sonos soundbar, sub and 2 x 5’s (group - living room)We want to use a projector in the living room without chasing walls for cabling - we have refurbed the room not long ago.The projector will go on the ceiling in the living room and receive video signal via hdmi from bedroom above living room. The problem is getting sound to the current Sonos surround set up without cables. My solution. Install a Sonos Beam 2 in the bedroom. When we want to watch the projector, “group” the Beam with living room group (mute the Beam).I know it works, and will produce sound. However, will latency be a major issue? And will the sound be in Dolby 5.1 etc or plain old stereo?Much appreciated.
I know this has been requested in the past, but I would love to see Sonos add a separate level control for Alexa’s voice that is independent from the main speaker volume. At my normal music listening volume, Alexa is way too loud. Because of this, I have disabled the microphone on most of my Sonos speakers and use Echo devices for smart home control instead.
Hello, How come I can only hardwire one Sonos device at a time? As soon as I hardwire one more Sonos device my broadband connection stops working. Maybe it is caused by a loop. When I used a DSL router this was not a problem. Now I use a Technicolor router for a coax connection. I don't use any switches or access pointsThank you in advance.
I know there where several topics about the sonos favorite limit, people explained the limited playlist is a feature. But seriously, you cannot limit peoples behaviours! Please increase the limit, its a stupid concept to reduce the possibilities we use sonos products we paid for.Nice sunday, enjoy music :)
