Presently the announced Sonos Ace is missing the most important feature - the one that separates Sonos from other companies. Sonos Ace as announce cannot work as a zone player. I would have bought two. Presently I have not interest.
Received a Sonos move as a gift for fathersday and spend 24 hours trying to get it to connect. Still haven’t gotten it to connect even though I can see it connected to my home network the device does not show up in the Sonos app also spent about 3 hours on the phone with Sonos tech support no resolution. So happy I got the gift receipt back to the store . Device is GARBAGE
Your new app is *. I rely on sleep function and alarms, these are gone rendering my Sonos system virtually useless!! Am sooo damn angry right now - * you SONOS *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
How do I use other devices to connect to the Sonos 5. I would like my wife and kids to be able to use it from their devices and not rely on my phone
I was excited to get my hands on the new Sonos Ace. I have been a fan of Sonos products since they first started. I own quite a few of their products and am thrilled with the way they sounds and seamlessly work together. I won’t get into the issues with the app. In this case, new isn’t necessarily better. so getting back on track, I am sure I wasn’t the only one wondering when Sonos would take a shot at creating a line of headphones since they were really good at creating speakers and sound bars, etc. The day has finally arrived and I have a few gripes. First off, they look and feel great. The price point is somewhere in the middle of the other high power sound companies such as Sony, Bose and Apple which is ok I guess. They are light and very comfortable. There is something I noticed with certain songs. There seems to be a clicking and buzzing sound. I don’t know if it’s the bass or what but it is noticeable and very disappointing. Also, for a Sonos product, I feel they sound too low
Hi all,I recently replaced my Beam Gen 1 with a Gen 2 and, since then, I have noticed a popping/crackling sound whenever I start and stop videos on my Apple TV. I observed this behavior in Netflix and Prime. This issue did not happen at all with my Gen 1, and all of the equipment and chords are the same. Stop any music and sign out of Sonos Uninstall the updated up (black one) Google Sonos .apk Uptodown and apkpure are reliable sources to download from. Once downloaded to your android device choose to install Change your android setting to allow install from unknown source (you can turn this option back off after install). Open the old version of Sonos and let it find your system That's it, all music, playlists speakers etc should be restored within the app. Turn off auto updates in the Sonos app and in the play store. You can sign back into Sonos if your use other services but it will ask you to update, ignore. Wait until sort out the update and test before updating.
I’ve had a Sonos Player for around 10 years and have recently donated it to my son who has moved into his own home.He has set up a Sonos account and we returned the Playbar to factory settings (pressing play/Pause whilst connecting to power). The current Sonos app cannot detect the playbat although we do appear to have connected it after the hard reboot above.I’m worried the Playbar is obsolete and will now not work as its been returned to factory settings and so I suspect will have none of the updates it had.The Sonos ‘help’ is poor and just sends you around in circles. I range the helpline and was advised the was a 90 minute wait. Can anyone help? Thanks.
Regarding “Check if Sonos is in a wireless or wired setup” - I’m looking at my Sonos System Info and do not see the W:x settings described in the article. Why not?
Since the new app has been out i haven't been able to unpair my era 300's from the arc and sub 🙄Anyone else having this issue? The new app has been a absolute headache for me, cant unpair anything, im actually worried if they did unpair, they wouldnt reconnect to the arc and sub, cant add songs to my sonos playlists anymore, they can only be added to your sonos favourites, my app constantly crashes and on the odd occasion i lose some of my speakers, they just stop playing and vanish from the app for 3-5 mins then reappear!I hope these issues get sorted pretty quickly, its already been a few weeks since the new app launched and its been a huge disappointment in my opinion, i so wish there was a way of going back to the previous app like ive seen hundreds of others asking to do, surely its possible to do this for the ppl experiencing great difficultys with the new 1 sonos?
I got my Sonos Ace las friday and been using them for the weekend. The right auricular keeps crackling, like if it looses fidelity and the noise cancellation. So disapointed from a product I’ve been waiting for so long. I’ve just printed the return label and will be taking them to UPS returning office.
The Sonos ARC performed great until the update. The problems I listed below are occurring on a consistent basis and I am mostly using it for streaming music. The unit now loses volume and has to be unplugged and plugged back in to regain the volume. 2-3 times a day this occurs. The app always says “something went wrong” when switching music services. 97% of the time this happens. The app will not play the first song on most playlists. This is latest issue and is occurring 50% of the time.
Sadly, Sonos has proven that it is unable to create a good mobile application.Instead, it made the life of everyone worse. It also did not comment on rolling back to the previous version, which worked well.Sonos should focus on creating things they do well: hardware.Sonos should open source the protocols to connect to their speakers and provide stable apis to work with them. That way, open source developers can create their own products that work with Sonos. None of us users is then forced to deal with the bad decision making that happened.Sonos: please rollback to the previous version first. Make the protocols to connect to your hardware available free and open source, so we users can build or use alternatives.
As a Pro level home AV integrator, I am getting flooded with customers who now have lost, settings, playlists, and what was working well, now is forcing customers and myself to either Upgrade the iOS and Device or Operating system itself, or get a new device that can be upgraded with a newer OS so that the New 80 version can be used!! Are you freaking kidding me! So, as a Pro integrator, ALL of my new builds will now be using the WiiM streamers and Amps! High Res Audio. Software should ALWAYS be backward compatible!! Always! This way you are not forcing anything. The user might lose a few new features, but their system will work as it always has. And I can live without getting slapped again by a simple Audio streaming platform. Plus I have found the new WiiM home streamers to sound incredible. I am not a WiiM employee or am associated with the company in ANY level, I build from scratch multimillion dollar custom homes from Pre-wire, to full networking and AV. and going forward, I’m p
I have the alarm in my bedroom set to a radio station. It would be great for this to start at the same time in the kitchen, bathroom etc as I start my morning. ‘Include grouped rooms’ isn’t ideal and they’re sometimes not grouped and they’re out of sync if I create separate alarms for each room. Could this be added to the app?
Nee Sonos app (black S2 app 2024) is awfull. Does not work even on latest OS phone. There are connection problems, no option to choose catagory like artist, song, album, radio etc while search etc. Only one plain search window.. does not yield satisfactory search results. The screen is covered with lot of icons of various albums which is annoying. The earlier gold colour sosos s2 app was good. Not able to use several Sonos speakers at my home due to this new sonos app problem. The offline music players seem good than than such advanced music player system..The Sonos speakers are unused because of this new sonos app (2024) problem.
The move is lacking for true outdoor fun like tailgating or beach parties, and offers no Bluetooth stereo pair to even get close. A $150 Tribit blows their best offering out of the water. Sonos can deliver here. Give me 2 Moves, a sub mini and a handle bonded together with10 hour battery, WiFi & Bluetooth. $1099
Why can't I add my music library, in the updated app? It's not an option in manage my content.
Dear Sonos, Get a grip! Lots of us have been telling you for ages that your voice assistants are too loud. Mostly posts have been about one of the three and sometimes it is (mistakenly) supposed that the answer lies with the speaker volume.I am here to tell you that is not the case. The volume of all three of the voice assistants is set too loud relative to the speaker volume. I have both Amazon Echo and Sonos speakers. When I ask Alexa to play music on one of my Amazon Echo speakers, the reply comes at pretty much the same volume as the music. When I do the same on my Sonos speakers, the reply is considerably louder than the music. This is the same for Alexa, Google Assistant and Sonos Voice Control so please, please, please do something about it!Some people have asked for a separate volume control for the voice assistants. In my opinion, that is not necessary. All you need to do is eliminate the imbalance between the music volume and the voice assistant volume.Thank you.
The new update hindered functionality. There is a 5 second lag for every command, it's not as responsive, and has connectivity issues. How can I undo?
I tried to add a SL100 to my system but somewhere along the way it went wrong now every time I try to use the App it says I need to run and update. I click update and it either says“your system is up to date” and then goes back to the need to update screen or tells me the 100 needs to update after which it goes to an error 1000 The app is completely non functional - no reboots or anything are working - anyone got any ideas?
The new app launched while I was away for a month. First, it takes forever to open, and when it does I get an error message saying product cannot be found. It further says to update network, every single time. Info thru the whole process and sometimes upon giving up and exiting the app, there is my homepage..Almost 10 years of Sonos Bliss is gone to the point I'm about done with Sonos and will NOT recommend until the app is as reliable as the old one.
Ever since the new Sonos App (yeah, I know, the new app..) went on my Samsung phone, the phone is regularly complaining about the “Bluetooth Scan History” of the app with too frequent bluetooth scans and of course my phone is seeing Sonos as a higher than earlier user of power (3.8%). I haven’t seen any other postings about this. Anyone else experiencing this or suggestions on how to minimize it?
Trying to connect Bluetooth earbuds to Sonos but it doesn’t find it. I have an Arc and Beam. Yes, I know Arc or Beam don’t have Bluetooth. The Sonos App suggests ant Bluetooth headset can be connected to Sonos via the App - not just the Sonos Ace. Listen to Sonos radio on my Arc all the time. Very long time Sonos customer and lately Sonos support service are disappointing - agents with language problems and sadly the good knowledge that was the highlight of Sonos in the past.
Wearily opened my desk-based Sonos on Friday 14th JUne to find an update waiting. Feature 1 - compulsory to approve new set of T&C, which now include a load of new references to Sonos being able to switch what they like with any impact whatsoever on my existing system and I have no redress (sure, but I still have ordinary consumer rights, doh); new Feature 2 - nothing, as far as I can see. Still no search on local library, still unable to add new music to the library without an Error 913, still a load of bugs in the mobile controller (can’t switch between rooms, no current song title showing, random availability of volume control, library appears and reappears etc etc).Example - I tried to add a CD in itunes and then update the library. No new album/composer/artists appear, but the songs are there if you look for them (ny hand, no search of course). Half a dozen tries at this before making a new Itunes playlist from the CD, updating again (ten minutes) and voila, the playlist appea
