The new Sonos app does not seem to connect and manage Sonos speakers well. I now get a better experience going through Spotify and connecting to Sonos as an external speaker rather than using the Sonos app. Even opening the app to do things like pause the music, control speaker volume, or add/remove a speaker to the current playlist is buggy and most of the time non functional. I've had to pause music using the button on the Sonos speaker itself more in the last month than the last 8+ years owning the speaker.
Remember when Sonos was such a great app?We could access our own music files on external hard drives. We could access our saves playlists and albums. We could add to the queue, almost unlimitedly. We could select recently played without “Something went wrong...”What else?Ah...them were the days!
Well I accidentally updated after putting it off. About half of my soundbars and speakers are no longer showing up, inexplicably. The app is comically buggy and slow. Music randomly plays - or not. Massive volume lag. It throw random errors in app e.g. Sonos Favorite not available or missing stereo pair. I have great, normal WiFi in a small home. Never had any issues with Sonos and my relatively simple setup. And now I can’t listen to music or watch movies. Without probably spending a day factory resetting everything from scratch. Ruining a get together that was supposed to happen. All because I updated an app. I didn’t think it would be as bad as everyone says - yet here we are. Maybe an apology, Sonos?
Hi, I’m new to the forum and not tech savvy. Just wanted to voice my complete disbelief at the 913 error code. How anyone can release something so poor without ‘road testing’ it, simply beggars belief Staggeringly poor service and a lack of apology/information is NOT helping your position Sonos.Berryfields1967CambridgeEngland

The new app on my android devices will not connect to Amazon Music. Just says ‘An error occurred. Try again later’. The app on the desktop pc still works. What do I need to do to fix this please?
Been holding hope for the new app as I did not routinely use the missing features, and despite glitches with the volume control, it was working ok for me.As of the latest release - multi-room is completely unstable. For context - my system has been extremely reliable for many years, and I have not made any changes to wifi or potentially conflicting devices on my network. Now I often find a zone to be unreachable, or “phantom” playing such that the app thinks it’s working, but no sound is coming out.If I “play everywhere” (6 zones with 10 devices) things are very slow to start, but eventually playing sync is ok. However in a few minutes, rotating drop outs start - constant random drops for a few seconds on various zones - eventually just playing on a few zones, leaving other zones “phantom” playing…. the app thinks the zones are working, but no sound from some of them.Completely unbelievable. I’ve been a huge advocate for Sonos and the “magic” “seamless” multi-room experience. Wh
I have no,idea what blind deaf and dumb focus group tested the new Sonos app but it is by a long way the worst update ever. Its glitchy, adjusting anything is tricky, sound in particular.Whoever decided to remove the ability to save songs to your Spotify playlists obviously doesn’t use the app and also wtf doesn’t want to be able to edit playlists,I mean 🤬.Lets just keep, the noise up for as long as it’s needed,I may resort to defacing public works of art….
Dear Sonos,Your High School programming interns really screwed the pooch this time.Roll it back please. The summer is upon us and I dont want my $1,100 sound system rendered useless.Pay for actual software engineering professionals next time round.
Why Sonos? Why? you have failed us so much with the new app. you deleted everything I had, you won’t let me play the same music. The auth/loop on Sonos radio is freaking unacceptable. im never buying your products again
With the new App Update now released, our thoughts will be turning to the likely upcoming release of the Headphones. Another rumoured new product for Sonos is a Set Top Box. You might question the benefits of this device with an already busy market of Streaming boxes and Sticks eg Apple, Amazon, Roku etc. What I'm really hoping is Sonos sees this device as the gateway to Sonos Wireless Home Cinema. What I really would like to see, is for the Set Top Box to allow for wireless connectivity to Speakers for TV Audio (not just Soundbar). I listen to more music than I do watch movies and I prefer the Stereo Seperation and wide sound stage of 2 Speakers rather than that of what a Sonos Soundbar produces. And I don't want multiple devices up front to accommodate different needs eg Soundbar for TV, Speakers for Music. This technology already exists, as seen with Apple, Amazon, Samsung etc providing wireless Home Cinema. How can they do it? Because they have the hardware (TV, Stick, Box) to
I have a Sonos setup in house A (home) and in house B (second home). On both systems, I have added the Plex service. The Plex server is in house A and runs on a dedicated Mac Mini.Everything was working fine until now.For the past few weeks, in house B, I can browse my Plex library from the Sonos app, but when I play an album or a playlist, the track seems to start (without any sound) then it skips to the next one, etc., without ever producing any sound.Plex is working on Sonos in house A AND the remote acces on Plex is activated and running well.I should mention that if I use the Plex app on my iPhone when I’m in house B, I can play my entire Plex library remotely. It’s only when I launch Plex from the Sonos App that it doesn’t work.My equipment: iPhone 14 Pro Max iOS 17.4.1Sonos App Version 80.00.04Thank you for any help. 1sur5 Afficher les suggestions En savoir plus

How come I can’t even download the SONOS S1 app on my new android OS 13 phone?
My Sonos5.1 system is composed of playbase, one sl, and sub gen3. All of them are separated and pushed by airplay separately, and each speaker is normal. However, after combining them and pushing with airplay, the sound is trembling. The 2.1 system composed of one sl and sub gen3 is also normal, but it is not normal after adding playbase. I called sonos technical customer service and they said it might be a network problem. After talking for an hour, the problem was not solved. I use spotify connect to push music to the Sonos5.1 system and the sound is completely normal, which means that there is no problem with the network. Now only the sound when pushing to the Sonos5.1 system by airplay is trembling. Is there a compatibility issue between the sonos system and airplay? Have other users encountered this problem, that is, the sonos5.1 system with playbase has the problem of airplay sound trembling?
We have 3 x Play 3; a surround sound system using a Sonos Soundbar, 2 x Play 1 and a sub; and until recently, 2 x Play 5 (Gen 1), all on the Sonos S1 controller. All are connected by ethernet on a BT mesh system, apart from one Play 3 which is connected wirelessly. One of the Play 5s has stopped working and after deliberation, we have just bought 2 x Era 300. We removed the Play 5s from the S1 app and before we added the new Era 300s, we upgraded to the ‘new’ Sonos app. The new app couldn’t find our existing system at all. We added the Era 300s wirelessly, the new Sonos app could find them, but not our existing system - all speakers are on the same mesh system now. We, probably foolishly, added the Eras to a new system, but now the Sonos app can’t find our existing products to add them. I understand we’d need to do a factory reset on them all in order to add them to the new system? But we’re concerned that that might not work even then, and obviously we’d lose all our current settings,
How do i revert my app? The new app is abousolutely trash Everytime i open the app up, it takes longer to find my system 60% time the App cant even find my system : its the same network you stupid app, why cant you find it or why does it take so long. (this has never happened in the previous version) Trying to group stuff has become a pain. I dont see any benefit of the APP, its made my life worse ] Just clunky crap I am completeely annoyed that this update was forced onto us, its taken my system that already had crappy issues and just made it worse. Rant over, Anyone able to advise how i can restore my old app?
I can’t imagine introducing headphones and not integrating them into the ecosystem. What people love about Sonos and the reason they continue to buy is the ecosystem. Non starter for me as a standalone Bluetooth headphone.
new sonos i snot working well with my spotify. it will not show all my stations .
I can select a station from MyTuner and it plays fine. It appears in my Recently Played list as expected. However, subsequently, when I try to select that same station from the Recently Played list I get a message " An error has occurred" and the station does not play. I can re-select it from MyTuner and it plays again.
I can’t see the blue or white indicator light during the day either outside or inside. The Move 1 was excellent in this regard. In the dark they are quite visible.Does anyone else have the same issue? I ask in case my indicator lights are faulty. Dave
The following is NOT a Sonos advertised feature for the Sonos Ace Headset. However, as we know Sonos is a versatile product capable of many out-side-the-box uses and this is one of them. If you don’t mind being tethered to your favorite seat used for watching movies...then continue reading 😊Listen to Apple Music via your Ace headphones using the “Swap” feature. The requirements are:Sonos Arc (properly connected to TV) AppleTV Box (connected to your TV via HDMI) Apple Music Subscription Sonos Ace Headset with latest update Sonos App installed on your iOS device with latest update ^ Hint: The AppleTV remote can be used to control all functions to select what you want to hear, volume, play, pause, go forward, go back and stop as well as others you can discover. This function requires that you be in range of the Arc. It’s basically a line-of-sight experience using the 5Ghz transmission between the Arc and the Ace headset. You’ll not be able to roam through your home without intermittent
Hello I try to connect the Sonos ray to the app and when I fill the WiFi password then I have an Error 1.101 which says that the Sonos cannot be update and also login to the internet. If anyone knows please help me
I am having trouble setting up my new sonos sound bar
Been a loyal Sonos user since 2013 and this latest app is wreaking havoc on my listening. The lag in the volume adjustment is really bad. The only part of controlling the audio that seems to work is the mute, which is the only way to prevent potential hearing loss and wincing looks from everyone in the room.Like many Sonos users, listening to music is one of the most important parts of my day and, living in a 120 year old house, accessing it in whatever room I’m in is a luxury that Sonos has afforded me for years. Not any more. So, community, what are your workarounds? I run everything from Tidal using Airplay to connect to Sonos. I tried running everything from Sonos but the interface is too clunky.
