I’ve had a Sonos Player for around 10 years and have recently donated it to my son who has moved into his own home.

He has set up a Sonos account and we returned the Playbar to factory settings (pressing play/Pause whilst connecting to power). The current Sonos app cannot detect the playbat although we do appear to have connected it after the hard reboot above.

I’m worried the Playbar is obsolete and will now not work as its been returned to factory settings and so I suspect will have none of the updates it had.

The Sonos ‘help’ is poor and just sends you around in circles. I range the helpline and was advised the was a 90 minute wait.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

How long has it been since you used the Playbar?  If it’s been a while, the firmware may be too out of date to update.   Try connecting it to your router with an Ethernet cable and try to add it that way.  If it adds and updates, you can then disconnect it from the router.
