I would like to know what would be best EQ settings for combination of Sonos arc and Sub Mini. I have medium sized room with 9 feet ceiling.I also wanted to know what is the right place for placing sub mini.currently I have following setting Arc: Bass is 0 , Treble is 3 with speech enhancement and loudness both OnHeight is 7Sub Mini - Bass is 4 placed next by seating position ( opposite to arc ).With this setup I feel sometimes good and sometimes underwhelming - I don’t feel enveloping soundhave done true play alsokindly suggest right settings .
Hey, I have a request: It would be nice if I could the volume buttons on grouped speakers to control the group volume and not the individual speaker volume. Thanks!
Hi,this is maybe a little bit strange, but I will explaine the situation:there are serveral SONOS speakers in a bar/pub/restaurant.In germany, you are not allowed to play the music as loud as you want and can… so I recognized the “limit volume” funktion at the system control. This is a great function to limit the max volume in a bar/pub/… BUT:Everyone can change this limit. However, in order to comply with official regulations, this function would have to be blocked so that only a technician or the owner can change the settings. A waiter, for example, would not be able to do this. The function could possibly be restricted to a confirmation email and a link that the account holder has to click on, just like resetting a password. So: if the setting is changed, an email is sent, if it is confirmed, the change becomes active, if not, it is reset.
Hi everyone,I have a radio station that I added to my Sonos favorites using the old Windows app. I created it in "TuneIn/My Radio Stations" using the URL <http://turntable/>.In the new Windows app, I can still find this radio station in my Sonos favorites and start playing it.However, in the new Android version, the icon for this radio station is visible but grayed out and cannot be selected. How can I, in the new versions of the Sonos app for Windows and Android:define a radio station by URL edit this definition and start/stop this station?Thank you!
I’m having trouble with my sound. I use my phone or iPad to control volume. It now seems to only work if I use my tv controller and put it on mute. This issue started up after trying to connect headphones to my tv.
I'm moving to Mexico in the Baja area. building a house that has 3 separate buildings. All walls are concrete. what kind of mesh system will you recommend so I dont have any lag on my music?
Hi all, I was wondering if you could provide some guidance about a 2nd sub. I'm no expert on the interaction of sub/bass, and based on reading other posts I understand it can be tricky. I currently have the sub in the upper right corner next to the tv, and I was wondering if a 2nd sub would work ok next to the left side of the couch, as that's really the only reasonable spot I have.
Hi all,Is there any plan for a function to disable the blue light that shows it is on. I could find it quite disturbing in the dark or in the plane when everyone is sleeping.Think of neighbors and others is unusual .. but yes I do care :)
One of the annoying things that went missing with the May updates were some of the Deezer integration features, such as the ability to add / remove songs to Deezer playlists from the song’s more information context menu.Is this a Sonos side update or a Deezer one?Either way, can we have missing features reinstated please?
Hello everyone,I'll try to be clear (although English is not my native language). My internet connection is via an LTE router (unfortunately I have no choice), which is not supported by Sonos. The idea would be to connect a Sonos Era 100 with an ethernet cable to the LTE router, so this Sonos Era 100 will create a dedicated wireless network specifically for my Sonos system. But I only want to connect "portable" Sonos to this systemQuestion:Will this dedicated wireless network allow "portable" Sonos (Move 2 or Roam 2) to work properly?Or on the contrary, are "portable" Sonos definitely excluded from a wired configuration anyway?I haven't been able to find a clear answer, and I thank you for your help.
It still seems that the latest version of the Android App is missing the TruePlay toggle. This is annoying in itself, but I also have an iPhone so have performed TruePlay tuning on that recently. My question is - is the TruePlay tuning running at all times? If I can't see the option to toggle on/off in the Android app, does that mean it's not running (or turns off) every time I use my Android app to control my system...? The surround sound options show something like "distance to left/right speaker > 2ft", whereas it used to be greyed out on the old Android app if TruePlay was enabled. What does this mean? When I access the system from my iPhone, TruePlay is there and is toggled on. But is it on only when I access it again with my iPhone..? Anyone have any idea here? (Probably not Sonos 😄)
We have now had the new Sonos App for 3 months, here is what I have discovered so far.The old App is not coming back. I am not sure if this is down to Sonos being stubborn or inadequate planning for this as an option. Either way it is not coming back. There will not be a class action law suit. Simple truth is that, no matter what it feels like, our speakers still have the capabilities we paid for its just that the App won't let us access them effectively. The possible exception here is the users whose speakers appear to have been "bricked" by the App. The new App has some fundamental design issues and is generally slow to respond for a number of users. My personal experience is that changes, like volume, vary from instantaneous to 20/30 seconds to be applied. I still don't think the new UI is "intuitive" but I have got used to its idiosyncrasies. As others would put it I have developed the requisite "muscle memory". The new App clearly works for some people but that does not in anyway
Okay am i the only one here was thinking that 1k£ sound bar will be louder than sonos five ? I mean doesn’t sound louder at all than one of sonos fives and the price is double . And seems changing in so os app treble and bass doesn’t actually does anything am i the only one thinking like that and is it actually has to be like this ?
I’ve had an incredibly frustrating experience with Sonos over the past few weeks, and figured I’d share it here. It all started with an order for a Roam speaker that I wanted to gift. Sonos sent it out, but the product never arrived. After contacting support multiple times, I was promised callbacks that never happened, and no one could offer any meaningful resolution or even track where the product was. Extremely disappointing for what should have been a straightforward order. But the more pressing issue is my current Sonos setup, which has been completely unreliable. Here’s what I’ve been dealing with: • My Arc skips and disconnects randomly. • My Era 300s shut off for 3-second intervals, interrupting the sound. • My Five can’t even be paired as part of a group without skipping issues.I’ve called support 5 times over 1+ weeks, sent diagnostic reports dozens of times (honestly, I’m not sure if it’s just sending a bunch of random 0s and 1s because none of this has solve
I am using Android S2 V80.10.06 of 20041007 and Firmware S2 81.1-58074.While the current firmware has corrected the indexing of the local library where Album Artist and Artist are not the same, allowing compilation albums to list correctly, which is great, there is still at least one anomaly in the way Search works. This is compounded by the fact that, in S2, you can no longer specify which field (Artist/Songs/Albums etc) is to be searched as you could before the May update. You can now only enter a search term and hope for the best. For this example, I am using the artist Aretha Franklin, for whom I have 2 Albums with her as the Album Artist and 8 compilations where she is the Artist of a single Song.A search for her comes up with the following where it has found her name as Artist and as part of the title of the one Album shown.Tapping on the Artist icon gets me thiswhich lists all 10 albums with her tracks on, including the second album with her as Album Artist (A Natural Woman...)
To be a competitor in the apple-domain - please support Airplay. This would bring the headphones to a whole new level when living the Apple dream.
When I open this Amazon Music Unlimited playlist I created no tracks are shown.
HiOK, I pulled the trigger and ordered the Arc Ultra and two Sub 4’s. The Sub 4 weighs less than the Sub (Gen2/3); but no loss of performance IMO. I must attribute the weight difference to materials used for the enclosure. The physical appearance of the Sub 4 is more angular around the edges/perimeters versus the gloss finish versions. However, the fingerprint test is outstanding…Zero for the black and white matte finishes. I have both; therefore, I know of what I speak. 😊. Also, the NFC is much faster during setup and it connects directly to your Wi-Fi by-passing the temporary connection to your device. The star of the show is of course the Arc Ultra. Below is my “Everyday Person” opinion. No audiophile speak; just plain straight talk for us common folks! 😊Ease of Setup: Easy Pee Zee. Plug in the Arc Ultra and the app walks you through the process with ease. Connects directly to your Wi-Fi with no temporary connection to its built-in frequencies.Sound Motion Woofer: Definitely increa
I have A LG 65 C2 two years old it is connected to Sonos ARC,satellites and sub, there is also an older Surround system in the rack. The Sonos soundbar is connected to the TV with HDMI cable to the ARC input on the TV,the old system is connected to the TV with optical cable .When I choose the optical output instead of the HDMI ARC on the TV the sonos system goes silent and the optical is also dead.To change this i have to physically remove the HDMI cable between the TV and the Sonos, then I can listen to the old system through the optical cable. Any solutions ?
Hello dear community.I can no longer find the battery level in the app. Can someone tell me where it is now? Thank you very much.
Am I the only one who has had enough of Sonos. Used the products for years but now I feel like it’s an expensive piece of junk that’s ruined my music playlist. Not reliable, constantly crashing etc. Tried everything mentioned on forums and today I see an article that they have fixed 90% of the app, what a load of crap that is. 😂
. My employer was given the 2 speaker system with some music in the library. What is the process to add music to the library including platforms such as YouTube or Amazon music? We love the concept and as a preschool it is an asset. Thank You for any feedback and clarity.
Hi there. I have a number of older Sonos speakers and only my Sonos Play 1 and Sonos Play 3 are compatible with S2. I also have a newer Sonos system, consisting of the Sonos Arc, and some surround gear. All wroks well independently, however igf I every try and “group” the Arc with the Play 1 or Play 3 it cuts the music out. I have the same issue if trying to group the TV side from thge Arc. Sometimes it works, but generally it cuts the sound on all speakers. I have checked everything is up to date. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and a solution shared with the community.
HelloPeter Pee offers some interesting takes on how the Arc Ultra will handle LFE using the Sound Motion Woofer (SMW). In explaining the design of the SMW he references two opposing drivers which to me (thinking outside the box) kind’a mimics the design of the Sonos Sub on a much smaller scale. The SMW per Peter will allow the Arc Ultra when using a sub to have a higher cross-over point thus not allowing vocals to bleed through to the sub as with the original Arc in some use cases. The end result should be better/cleaner dialogue.Peter also does a pretty good job of explaining how the Arc Ultra will produce the supposed 9.1.4 sound. All-in-all I thought his take on the Arc Ultra and how it is not an Arc Gen2; but a completely redesigned soundbar, justifies the Arc Ultra moniker instead of Arc Gen2.Click the link and listen to Peter’s remarks for yourself and let us know what you think.
I’m planning on setting up a sound system at home (4 era100) but I have bad wifi and was wondering if I can connect this system to ethernet but still use bluetooth for streaming? To have good connection between speakers and good streaming from phone to speakers system
