And seems changing in so os app treble and bass doesn’t actually does anything am i the only one thinking like that and is it actually has to be like this ?

How loud do you need the Arc Ultra to be? Is the Five in the same room as the Arc Ultra?

In same room i bought first sonos five and the was waiting for ultra to come out and for sure was expecting 1k speaker be better than 550£ speaker almost twice ot atleast auarter but to me they are same and i think ultra eve has les punch then five so basically this extra 450£ is just for Bluetooth and hdmi connection to tv? In this case i rather would buy 4 fives 🤣 on music stereo settings i need to put -4 that sonos wont be louder than ultra otherwise fives overhead way to much or did i get faulty ultra speaker ?

If you want louder, I suggest using an AMP and very efficient speakers. Even this may not satisfy your quest for “loud”. For most humans 10 times as much power is required before the human declares “twice as loud”.

ARC ULTRA is designed for surround sound and contains many more amplifiers and speakers than a FIVE. This accounts for the difference in cost.

Also, the Volume number indicated by a Room on the controller does not correlate well with the human’s  perception of “loud”.  A “50” indicated for a FIVE will not deliver the same acoustic output as “50” for a ROAM. Changing the Volume from “20” to “40” will not be perceived as “double”.

what im trying to ask does arc ultra has to sound louder than sonos five as for me it’s doesnt sound louder by its own when you compare as i tested just sonos five and then just arc ultra i understand has more drivers etc but that means it should be louder when the price is double the price im not expecting to sound double the sound of arc but atleast quarter  im talkingif im puting sonos five at 80% volume and arc ultra at same 80% so os five sounds louder than ultra

Not sure why you are comparing the two. They are two completely different types of speakers. Just set the volume on the Arc Ultra to the level that sounds good to you.

Don’t attempt to compare acoustic outputs between models for the same Volume number. A software update could change the actual acoustic output for a speaker at a given Volume setting. The only utility for the numbers is to allow the user to repeat a previous output level.
