I have searched around with no luck. I am looking for a basic controller app user manual or tutorial - NOT the limited sub-topic-specific videos. I would like to just take the time to go through all the features of the app (ios in my case) at once.

I keep getting a message saying I have Sonos notifications on my iMac however I cannot see anywhere they might be held on the Sonos desktop (for Mac).

Hi I got Sonos Play:1 speaker and trying to get it to work with SonosTube iPhone app but gettitng an error code 2 message saying “SonosTube failed to play the video on iPhone/ iPad. Reopen the SonosTube app.” I tried restarting the app 3-4 times but no luck. Does anyone know what this error is about and how to resolve it ? PS: speaker works fine with same iPhone using Sonos Controller app. Thanks, Vishal

Not as much talk about yesterdays sonos anouncment as I would have expected from such a passionate community. So what are people thinking? Obviously Amazon Echo has impacted SONOS but how do you go from hiring new people and planning a retail store to cutting staff? What's next ? Should we be concered about making more current investments in sonos hardware (I really want to buy a sub)? People have been posting for months about voice support and for years about DTS. The standard response is sonos doesn't comment on future enhancements or new products. We know what we have today and there pretty darn good products but we all want to be excited and look forward to what's coming next.

So I now have a Nuimo, not the one I ordered still but I have one. I will do a more detailed considered review but there are my first impressions:- Build quality is superb, almost to the point of over engineering. The rotate volume ring is just SO smooth with a great weighting too. Click top is good and the swipe gestures work well on the capacative screen. The "fly" gesturing is hit and miss. You should be able to wave you hand in the airspace above the unit to move tracks and change volume. This needs some more work as it is too easy to get to full volume and get stuck there. Yet to get it to change tracks with the gestures. Learnings:- The Nuimo is paired to your phone so you have to have that with you to control the sonos units. The controls are currently limited to Play, Pause, Skip forward and back and then Volume. You can use it for more than one sonos speaker or group, although I am not sure how to switch yet. I recently set up two Sonos connects to control my existing home speaker system. I have already had lots of issues with my WiFi so we have multiple WiFi networks throughout our home to have everyone on a good connection. However when it comes to Sonos it appears to only be able to be on one WiFi network. The network doesn’t reach either connect with that great of a signal. The problem arises that while I’m walking around my house the app seems to lose connection or can’t find the system. So my question is would it be better to buy a boost or is this a WiFi networking problem that I need to fix with wireless access points? Also would wiring one of the connects help this?

We have been seeing a large spike in my wifi data (Xfinity) and have would like to make sure that we are streaming in cellular (unlimited plan) and playing to Sonos from Spotify. Please help me get this setup or show me how to check the data useage.

When choosing a low volume, it seems impossible to choose the right loudness by just using the app volume control. the difference between silent, and the next setting is too large, and thr only way to get the right volume is too use the controls on the speaker device itself. Is there a way to change app volume sensitivity?

I can see this topic has been raised multiple times previously, so I'm surprised it has never been addressed by Sonos: for music stored on a phone, why is there no folder view? It is a simple programming fix included by multiple other music apps. The included Artist/Album/etc views are useless, given that the app is very sensitive to ID tagging differences and splits some albums into multiple albums (for instance if 1 song on an album is tagged as "pop" and another is tagged as "alternative", they appear as separate albums). Also, mix albums get split over multiple artists. A folder view allows users who care about the organization of their music (a user base which highly correlates with users wanting high quality speakers like Sonos) to control their listening experience, which is the point of technology. I don’t want to go and buy any new tablet if I have to at the moment. Not working due broken leg in July. My X-10 home control app on the iPad is no longer available on Apple Store, but it is on Android Play Store. I was given a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.0 GT-P3110, with Android Version 4.2.2 But that can’t run the Sonos App So I am still ‘screwed’ I now need the iPad for Sonos and the Android for the TIP10RF app for the X-10 So this old Tab2 is too old for Sonos as it can’t upgrade the OS any more. What Android OS do I need for Sonos App ? Looking for a used Android Tablet, but need to know what to look for.

For aesthetics my Playbar is hidden behind my wall mounted Sony Bravia tv. I have set up the remote and when in direct line (from the side) of the Playbar I can adjust the volume, however when sitting directly in front of the tv I can’t adjust the volume. The tv receiver starts picking up the remote and the TVs volume bar just goes up and down. Is there an easy fix for this?!

Cannot delete songs from playlists using iOS iPad, even when offers delete it does not delete. Can’t even delete the whole playlist. How do I get playlists off my Sonos?

Having a few issues when browsing 'Music Library > Albums' on PC and Android App: 1 - Album thumbnails are slow to load 2 - Occasionally thumbnails fail to load (timeout?) despite folder.jpg being present (and navigating into album always forces thumbnail to show correctly) 3 - Thumbnail is never show despite folder.jpg being present. I believe all my issues are because the artwork is too high quality. Images in the hundreds of Kb are taking too long to load, and when I browse the complete album catalog, this can cause some to not show at all. My daughter was round our house for Xmas and used her Spotify, on an iPhone 6S, to create a playlist over my SONOS Play:1. The next day, when she was at her own house, 4 miles away, she was trying to use her Spotify to play over her own Bluetooth speaker, unfortunately my Play:1 started up on its own, and as the Bluetooth speaker wasn't responding she tried increasing the volume, yes you guessed it, the Play:1 began blasting out with the music she was trying to play! I have a Play:1, Play:3 and Play:5, with the Bridge, can anyone suggest how this could have happened? Jon

Brand new Sonos Play: 1 Would like to add music to Sonos player/controller/software. Under the Manage menu, everything is greyed out. Mac is running Yosemite 10.10 Lastest Sonos software on speaker and on computer (mac) Tried uninstalling Sonos software, resetting software, restarting speaker... Still wont work???

I’m trying to play some podcasts that have been downloaded to the podcast app on my iPhone. I’ve read that I can find those under “On My Phone” (or something like that) under the Browse tab, but “On My Phone” is t even showing up.

Sonos works fine if I run it from my phone. However, once I upgraded to Mohave on my Mac Air, the Sonos app got stuck and I can't do anything with it. It won't close, play, or delete. Attached is what how the app looks in my finder. How can I delete it and download it again?

Remember the Windows media player? The one that let you turn visualisations on and have some nice patterns display on your PC screen in time to the music? Is there a piece of software that I can run on my PC that will do the same while playing music via sonos controller / spotify premium account. So while I play spotify through sonos can I run an application to display visuals on one of my PC screens, ideally that react to the music like the old media player did? Currently I have a play 5 hooked up to my router and PC line in, paired with a Play 1 as my PC speakers. A little extravagant and i may replace these with PC speakers, so would any solution then work without line in to the Play 5? I anyone knows of such software and if this is even possible would appreciate a heads up. Thanks Clive
