Controllers and Music services

When I look for albums by a particular artist, I search on the artist and then select ‘Discography’. For some artists the Discography search brings up only a few albums of their albums, even though many more are available through my music streaming service (Deezer). Although I can find these other albums by making other types of search, I do not understand why the Discography search does not list them. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a fix? Hope you can help.

Hi, I had Amazon Unlimited account which I've now ended. Everytime I now search for music and click on the songs shown I get a message that they are only available through Amazon unlimited.  I've deleted Amazon from Sonos, re-linked my account and I'm still getting this issue.  Any ideas what else to try?  

Good morning, when Google Music went black I changed for a paid subscription with You Tube Music and uploaded my own music. When searching for music in the Sonos S1 app I could choose between Spotify and the music from You Tube Music and my uploads. Since some months You Tube Music doesn’t appear on my searches anymore in the app. The app however tells me that You Tube Music is active in my S1 app. I deleted and restored the You Tube Music connection to my S1 app. , which worked flawless, but whatever I try there is no You Tube Music popping up in my searches!!!!! Please help!!! Many thanks in advance!peter

I continue to have this error when using SiriusXM and Sonos but it only applies to certain channels?I’ve read all the previous posts and tried their techniques but nothing will work- also the most recent post I’ve seen is a year old just submitted diagnostic but don’t have the number 

Hello,I got a Sonos Beam recently and it’s very good but I’m trying to play music through Spotify Connect from my phone but it doesn’t even display the speaker.I tried from my laptop and another phone (Android and iPhone) and no luck, no Sonos Beam displayed, despite being on the same wifi network (I forced every device to be on the 2.4 GhZ network).I tried a lot of things (rebooting everything, disconnecting the app, etc.) but no success.I can play Spotify from the Sonos app but I would like to just use Spotify Connect.

I just installed a new Synology DS218 NAS but when I try to add the server I get the following message.  SONOS was unable to add the music folder.  Please check that the path to the folder and the user name and password are correct.  Reason.  There was a problem adding the new music in the shared folder "|MusicServer\Music" to SONOS.  There is no error code but there is a link to a help page to do with serverstacks but that seems to be a different issue. I can add a music folder from the PC with no problems.  Can anyone help please?  Thanks

I have had an Audible.ca account for many years, I bought Sonos originally so that I could play my Audible books on Sonos.  It worked well, but in the years I have had it, searching the Sonos/Audible book list has been a nightmare.  It rarely worked and never, for example, gave a complete list of the books I had for any given author.  In a bored moment, I tried it again yesterday - Joy!!! - search on Audible/Sonos worked perfectly and very quickly, amazing - nothing has changed on my Sonos for a while and I really do not keep track of Audible updates, so no idea when or why the system(s) started working.Today, I thought I would search for a book in my Audible library via Sonos and play it - but the Sonos service was not longer visible on the MacBook Pro.  All I have done since last night is switch the Mac off last night, then on today - but there is no Audible service on the Mac, So I re-added the service, re-registered (it said I was already subscribed), the service reappeared in the

Following my upgrade to Sonos Controller S2 (to accommodate my new OneSL speaker), I can no longer access my music library.  I’ve tried deleting and re-adding it, but the add gets access denied,also.NOTE:  When I upgraded to S2, I got an error message saying that SonosLibraryService could not be started.  I’m guessing that may be the ultimate source of my problem.  If so, what can I do to fix that issue?

I have just tried to search through genre, for the first time in a while and I see that the message “No selectins are available” comes up.  Why is this happening now when it didn’t before?  It’s the same  when I use the Android app as well as my PC.

My Most recent Itunes Playlists are missing, not just from Sonos, but from seemingly the back end of my Macbook. For Example “Xmas Car 2” created this year. It does not appear in Sonos when I refresh or update the library. However, it also does not appear in “finder” on the laptop. It does appear in the actual Itunes. Along with more playlists more recently created. And the older playlist that do appear in both itunes, sonos and the itunes media folders on the computer. Where are these playlists and how do i get them into Sonos? So the issue is not thattI dont know how to update my playlists. Its that this process is not working. And I cant find the new playlist in my computer in order to add a new location for Sonos to find them in. I hope that makes sense, I realise this is probably a problem with Apple, but there is nothing I can find on their forum about this. FYI my music is not in a  Cloud, it is on my computer.  Cheers, Rich

hello,i recently use sonos connect with 2 sonos one, i mainly use it with my macbookair connected in rca to the sonos connect (and after via amplifier with wired speakers).when i send music via itunes or internet on macbook with audio local source (RCA), each time, after few seconds, music stops, signal switched off, sonos connect starts blinking white (signal lost), and the local source entry no longer appears.When i use radios on app (sonos radio etc...) everything is ok, no lost signal. Is semeone can help me please ?I already changed channels, switch audio compress… Thanks,Benjamin

Hello! One internet radio station I’m listening to recently switched to HTTPS and is not accessible through Sonos app anymore. Old URL which now redirects to the new streamhttp://pbb.laurentgarnier.com:8000/pbb128 New URLhttps://pbbradio.com:8443/pbb128 I’ve tried to add both URL manually but it won’t connect and there’s no error message at all. It works if trying through a browser, ITunes, VLC, Audacious or if I’m using Logitech Media Server to stream it to my Sonos Port. Any idea how to make it work again? Thanks,Christophe

Hi,I'm using a Huawei 4G Router 3 Pro and have dropouts when playing music from Tidal HiFi. When I'm playing internet radio or using another music service (Telmore musik), which is lower bandwidth (320 kbps) I don't have dropouts. I'm using a Connect gen. 2 hardwired to the router through an unmanaged switch.  I know that LTE routers are not supported by Sonos, but am wondering if anyone has managed to use Tidal HiFi with a LTE Router? ​​​TIA Moba

Both were working fine until recently. Now Sonos One speakers don’t appear in the Spotify ‘Connect to Device’ window. I CAN find the speakers if I go through the Sonos app (desktop and iOS), however.Most frustrating.Everything is on the same wifi network.Please tell me there is a simple fix 

In both the Android app and the Windows desktop app, when selecting the YouTube Music Service, it only lists ‘Playlists’ in the Menu. There is no ‘Songs’, ‘Albums’ ‘Artists’ etcHowever I can use the search facility which brings up some but not all of my YouTube Music content. I have a free YouTube Music account, however I’m sure these things were working properly last time I checked. Anyone else have this issue or know how to resolve it?Many Thanks.

To be honest, despite my initial expectations, I’m pleasantly surprised by the programming on Sonos Radio. In many ways, this is a unique offering -- no small feat in the crowded streaming media world. The commercial breaks, though short, are frustrating. I’d be willing to pay for a commercial-free stream of Sonos Radio. Is that available or a potential offering for the future?  Thanks -- Robert

Beginning this week, I can no longer play any podcasts from Pocket Casts. I have restarted the speakers, the router, updated everything to 12.2.1 (build 61183170) but whenever I try to play any podcast, I get the following: “An error occurred while adding tracks to the Queue (701).” (I’ve also attached a screen shot of the error.)Is it just me? 

This morning my pair of Play1’s are unable to connect to live streams from SiriusXM. I’m able to stream to devices like my iPhone and computer. I’ve done all the recommended steps (ensured latest version of software, rebooted router, power cycled speakers, etc)  I can’t find any ‘current’ reported issues and the dashboard says SiriusXM is working. 

Hi.. I can see and select Sonos speakers in spotify app but when selected doesn't play. They do work with Sonos app but not with Spotify. Can anybody help me please? 

Hello,   Just enjoying our new MOVEs (is that the correct plural?). In the app, I can add CBC radio, and I can get all the CBC radio stations.  Except that sometimes, a bunch of them are missing.  Including Ottawa (where I live) and Toronto, and everything east of Sudbury west of Quebec City. I have added two speakers, and installed the app on two phones.  It seems to be the same on both.  If I look under CBC radio right now, Ottawa (and others) are not there; they definitely were there before.  In fact I added CBC Ottawa to “My Sonos” and it is still there, but “unable to play the selected item”. Just for comparison, I have been listening to CBC radio over the internet and from the CBC app for years now and it has always been there.

Depuis le passage de Google Play Music dans Sonos à Youtube music dans Sonos. Je me retrouve avec une application qui ne me permet plus de profiter correctement de mon abonnement YTM. En effet, il n'y a plus de recherches par genre, humeur ect. alors que c'était fonctionnel avec GPM. Aussi, désormais le cast depuis l'application officielle de Youtube music vers les enceintes Sonos n'existe plus. J'ai l'impression qu'en tant que client Sonos je paye les pots cassés entre Google et Sonos Je ne comprends pas que Sonos qu'il y a clairement une réduction du service de YTM sur son application comparé à l'appli officielle de Google ou même en comparant avec l'ancienne intégration de GPM dans Sonos. Sonos quand allez vous résoudre ce problème et permettre de retrouver les classifications genre, humeur ect.. dans l'appli sonos avec Youtube music ?

I have organized and cleaned up my Music App on my mac mini. I now have 271 playlist, the same number as before getting organized.  I have a notification from the Sonos system that there are to many playlist.  I created folders on the mac for the different types of playlist.  Sonos2 has the folders listed as playlist?  I can delete the folders and or some of the playlist.  any other suggestions welcomed 

My music library is sourced from my iTunes music library, and I rarely have duplicates there.  However when looking at albums in my Sonos 2 app music library, many albums have the same tracks 2 or 3 times.  Where one truly is a duplicate in iTunes I delete the whole duplicate album and then I update my Sonos library. However the duplicate (and triplicate) tracks are still there.  How do I get rid of them?  Thx

Most of the time I am unable to access my Sonos playlists on my iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). They are visible sometimes but most of the times the whole section is missing on the ‘My Sonos’ overview page.The Sonos playlists are reliably visible and accessible in the Mac app. It appears to be a problem only present with the iOS versions of the app.Is this a known issue? Is there a solution? It is a bit awkward carrying the MacBook around all the time just in case I want to listen to a playlist.
