Controllers and Music services

I have a Sonos 2 system consisting of 6 Connect:Amps, a Sonos Move and a Playbar + Sub.  The Connect:Amps are in a Sanus rack, connected to my Netgear Orbi Router via an 8-port Netgear bridge. I have 2 Orbi Satellites.  My music is stored locally on my MacBook Pro (running Sonoma 14.1.2) hard drive and the MacBook is connected to the network via my Wifi network.  I have a 1Gigabit Xfinity service and my Wifi signai is very strong (e.g 450Mbps Bandwidth speedtest).  My Sonos system tells me it is up-to-dateWhen I play my music my Sonos sound will frequently drop out for 5-7 seconds before starting up again.  It happens whether I am streaming my own music from my MacBook or using a streaming service like Spotify...although perhaps it is more frequent when I am streaming my own music.  Bringing up the Sonos 2 app on my iPhone and adjusting the music volume will frequently cause the music to stop playing for a little while.  We bought the house in 2018, shortly after it was built.  I do no

A couple of days ago, Tunein stopped working properly. The ads play but no music ever plays. Does anyone have an idea what is causing this problem? Thanks.

Since last night, tune in will not play podcasts.  Music stations play OK. I have tried resetting router.  Unplugging everything.  Removing tune in from system and adding back .  Nothing works.  When you click on podcast link, a commercial will play and then nothing happens.

Almost all of my Mac software updates effortlessly. Sonos, on the other hand, doesn't like MacOS and never has. Thus, to update, Mac users must locate their Sonos app in the Applications folder, delete it, then go back to the Sonos website, find the download link, then download it. Once downloaded, it needs to be dragged to the Applications folder. How archaic? Is there a better way that I'm missing?

Hi everyone! I live in Chile, Could you help me with this: When I login on to the Sonos app on my iOS device and go to Sonos radio, I just see featured list and browse radio. I do not see Sonos presents or sonos stations. I have tried with updating my profile address and reset Sonos app, but without success. Is it a restriction for my region/ country ? Kind regards 

Hi everyone. Apologies for the elementary vocab/understanding. I am not super savvy on tech. Anyway, I used to live in an apartment and had a Beam Gen 2 and Sub Mini. My Wi-fi was Verizon fios gigabit connection. I had my Sonos products hooked up to my LG Oled c1 and my phone for Spotify. Spotify used to run on that seamlessly. I never had any issues jumping back and forth between playing Spotify content and listening to something I was streaming on my TV. I just moved to a townhome and upgraded wifi to Verizon’s new 2 gigabit connection. At first there were some weird wrinkles with our new connection (content looked blurry/wouldnt load fully) but now that seems to be sorted out. However, I am experiencing major lags in my spotify streaming. I will start a song and won’t hear it start playing for a good 3 seconds after. If I jump to a part in the song, it won't respond for a few seconds. Apple Music works very well. I am just confused because it used to work perfectly well, now I am ex

V16 still doesn’t support playing the new “Favorite Songs” Apple Music service playlist. Although the Favorite Songs playlist still appears at the bottom of the Apple Music playlist list in the Sonos app, selecting it still generates the “No selections are available” error message.

This issue has been raised in the past, but no comprehensive solutions have been proposed.  We are Airbnb hosts of 9 high end villas.  Guests (at times) rename speakers, regroup speakers, change system settings, etc.  Since the Sonos app doesn’t have any access controls (needed by many people in hospitality for exactly this reason), we have to either deny guests the ability to add their music services or provide them with a Sonos login that gives them total system access.  And as we all know, when you give people access they love to go in and change things... In the absence of limited system access, we have to go in afterwards and audit and reset the speaker names, reset settings, re-create groups, etc.  It would be FAR easier if we could simply log into the system remotely to diagnose and correct any issues live during a guest stay.  This capability does not exist in the Sonos architecture.  Some apps such as Lutron and SmartThings allow basic play commands, but not Sonos System acces

New Windows 11 laptop. Been through process to access iTunes music library but there is no way that I can see to edit the path, which only goes as far as iTunes folder but not to iTunes library within the folder. Tried installing and uninstalling both Sonos and iTunes apps. However when I do iTunes instal from Sonos in old Windows 10 laptop I have access to iTunes.

Ahora sólo me ha dejado crear otra con un máximo de 7Gb con el mismo o cualquier otro nombre en la misma dirección de red.

I just imported 500 GB iTunes library of ripped CDs.  I spent tremendous time importing album art and tailoring the sort order of artists (Last name first).  A great deal of the album art is lost (I can’t say for sure which ones).  And the artists are sorted by first name.  James Taylor is ordered under J, not under T!!!  Is there anyway the importing library can see the sort order that iTunes handles?

Hi,I am wondering who is responsible for implementing the individual music services in Sonos, e.g. Apple Music?Actually I changed my music service from amazon music unlimited to Apple Music.But the navigation and the options for selecting music, genres and playlists are an absolute disaster.In amazon Music it's very simple and with just a few clicks I can select playlists by genre or mood. So there are three steps in amazon music and then a lot of different playlists.  In Apple Music, on the other hand, it is not even possible to select playlists, not to mention genres, on the Apple Music start page. This is the complete starting point of Apple Music. There is no possibility for choosing Genres/Playlists - the playlists on top are only my own chosen ones in my personal music library: It's practically impossible for me to discover new music from the Apple Music home page, because the "standards" that otherwise appear, such as Top 100, are of no interest to me at all.As I only listen to

On MacOS 13.1, running on an M1 MacBook Pro.Consistent error message when trying to update the MacOS Sonos app (on prompt in app). Only solution is to uninstall and reinstall.Very frustrating!Any ideas how to stop this happening?

Hi there, recent issue with my S2 system, after adding a few more albums to my 22K track music library stored on my NAS it continually failed to update throwing the  "//{nas path}/Folder/" is no longer available error, sometimes immediately sometimes after a few minutes of indexing. Surprisingly my S1 system (on the same LAN) can read and index the NAS share with no issues. My S2 system comprises of a Port (ethernet connection) and a Roam. My S1 consists of a Connect/ZP, a Play 5 and One SL. Sonos have acknowledged there is an issue but cannot advise of a timeline for a fix.If I create a small library on the same NAS with a few albums the S2 system can index it. I’ve seen some similar posts with the same issue including suggestions of changing the library structure into a number of smaller chunks but this isn’t acceptable for me.Other suggestions welcome, or keen to hear if others are having the same issue.

The Sonos app on my iMac tells me it has found an update. I go through the process and it says “Sonos Update failed. An unexpected error occurred, please try again”.I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app and it still tells me there is an update and then takes me down this endless loop.

I am experiencing a problem with TuneIn on iOS. When I select a TuneIn station, the Sonos plays whatever station that was last playing not what I select. For example, if I am currently playing Station X, and then select Station Y, the Sonos continues to play X and not Y, though the display shows Station Y. I have to select the station I want again and then it plays. Weird, I know. Any thoughts? Thanks.

i cant see spotfy  in my sonos app anymore, what to do?

My Sonos S1 app on IOS is asking me to update, but when I click the update button I am taken to the S2 app update on the App Store. If I search for the S1 app on the App Store, no update is available. I have a Gen 1 Sonos Connect so can’t use the S2 app. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

When trying to add music folder to SONOS desktop app I receive the following message-The computer “DESKTOP - (COMPUTER NUMBER)” is not responding.I previously had the folder loaded but the desktop app displayed a similar message when I tried to play music. I can play music through sonos from the amazon music app on my mobile without any problemsI’ve looked at various solutions but I am unable to resolve this.I am running a PC with Windows 10, I have Bitdefender security operating. The Bitdefender firewall protection rules allow sonos.exe & sonoslibraryservice.exe.

Is anyone able to have their favorites, identified in the new Sirius XM app (now listed under the library section), appear in the Sonos app? Looks like they need to update the interface between Sonos and Sirius XM to reflect the new structure. The sonos app currently lists what I had tagged as favorites in the old Sirius XM app but there is no way to list them any longer in the sirius XM app or edit them.

I run a series of speakers, 3 x Play:3 and a couple of Sonos 1’s and also have a Roam which I am struggling with.I normally use an iPhone 6s with S2 version 15.  I can’t update this as S2 version 16 won’t work on iOS version 15.I also have an iPhone 13 running iOS 16 and it is now running S2 version 16.I foolishly tried to connect my Roam to a hotel network last week and have discovered the hard way that this is not a good thing to try - I don’t like using the Roam as a bluetooth speaker and wanted to stream direct.My iPhone 13 now says, when I try to re-establish the Roam on the network by adding it, that I have to upgrade.As my speakers are showing “SONOS OS: S2” and “Version: 15.11” I assume it wants me to update the speakers to 16.If I do this will my iPhone 6s running S2 version 15 then not be able to control my various speakers?
