Hello. Before I return my speakers - I thought I would check here for advice/ideas. I have 2 kids who do not have tablets/phones in their rooms. They do have their own Spotify accounts on my family plan. I bought 2 gen 2 Sonos One speakers hoping I could put then in their rooms and set speaker 1 to leverage Alexa to play Spotify account 1, and speaker 2 to leverage Alexa to play Spotify account 2. I see that I am able to associate multiple Spotify accounts within the Sonos app, but it appears that I can only able to select 1 account to play on either given speaker. Further, when 1 speaker plays music, the other speaker is not able to play different music. For example, if speaker 1 plays song A, and speaker 2 starts song B, then speaker 1 stops playing song A. My goal is to allow kid 1 to listen to Spotify account 1, and kid 2 to listen to Spotify account 2 at the same time, without conflict, and to have this able to be controlled via voice controls. Do I have any options here? If not
I contacted Sonos 3 separate times to find out what devices support Trueplay (please do NOT send me links to Trueplay compatible devices on Sonos site. I’ve seen it and it doesn’t tell me anything.) I was told that the iPad gen 8 WAS compatible with Trueplay so I bought a used one and come to find out it doesn’t work. I was also told by others on forums etc. that it would work also. Between this and the last update I’m at my wits end. Why can’t Sonos put out a complete list of every individual ios device that supports Trueplay. Now I’m out hundreds of dollars. No, I don’t know anybody that I can borrow a device from. Can anybody tell me exactly which iPads (not iPhones) support Trueplay please!!!
The Sonos Controller for PC app keeps grabbing focus. This happens while minimized and while not minimized. I am experiencing this behavior across multiple PCs in the house. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?I’m using controller version 11.5.
Sonos app on iOS (currently 14.12, but this issue started sometime before that): touching an existing alarm in order to view/change its settings freezes the Sonos app. Have to kill/restart it. Can toggle existing alarms off/on, can create a new alarm, but can’t get to the settings to change the time or volume. I know that I could access these settings as of late February, so the problem crept in after 14.2. I can access these settings through the desktop app -- but (for example) the volume control is an uncalibrated slider, so I can’t tell whether I’ve set the weekend volume the same as the weekday volume. So it’s not ideal.
My wife and I just set up our Arc+Sub in our living room, and One SL’s in each of our our offices. Everything was set up perfectly using my account/email via the Sonos App on my iPhone. Now my wife would like control on her iPhone so she can manage her office speaker independently. Can she create her own Sonos email/account and link up to our system at the same time as me? Or, does she need to use my email/account within the Sonos App on her iPhone? Thank you!
Hey everyone, I hope it’s allowed here to talk about this, I want to showcase of what’s possible to build using the Sonos Developer Platform: https://auxcord.org I’ve seen hundreds of threads here on the Sonos forum, asking for a Jukebox for their Sonos system: Allowing guests to queue their own songs easily. https://auxcord.org does exactly that:Never replace the currently playing song: always queue Your guests can use any phone to add songs Your guests don't need any account or login Disable the speaker's hardware buttons, so you control the volume and playlist Share a link or QR code ahead of time, so guests can pre-queue Prevent the same song from being played multiple times No need to hand over your phone, or have your friends spell the title of the songThis is a new project I’ve built, because I needed it for myself. It’s completely free, and I have no plans on commercialising it. Depending on the feedback, I might continue working on it, to improve the design and make it easier

When enjoying a song in a playlist, you used to be able to click on the down arrow and see the related album a track came from and then start playing that. This option has been removed in the latest update. WHY?! Seems a mad removal. 👇
I am trying to get my Innuous mini mk3 library available on my Sonos Port. Support has told me a. No hard connection is necessary, they communicate via wifi, b. Connect them directly with ethernet cable and c. Connect them directly with rca cables. I have tried all with no luck. I have no confidence in support on this matter. Have any of you experience with this? Thanks in advance.
Hello all, within the last week my app has pinged up there is a new update (even though auto update is turned off). What exactly does the new update address?, has anyone updated yet. It's also really annoying the certain settings are now "ghosted out", just because it's sniffed an update. Is there any way to stop this happening in the future (blocking access at the router etc?).
This is offered to try and help anyone else who has just upgraded their Synology hardware with DSM 7 and transferred users and media folders to the new device via configuration export/import and/or backups. It may also apply to anyone upgrading DSM 6 to 7.In my case, I was upgrading hardware and DSM version. Having done the DSM configuration and data imports from the old device, I was unable to add the replacement Music Library on the new NAS to S2 Sonos, Error 900 was reported. On the Synology, a log entry showed an SMB1 logon was refused. This was a complete red herring, as I later discovered.Windows clients also would not connect to the shared folders. After a lot of playing around with SMB settings, it transpired from the raw smb connection log on the NAS that the issue was that the connections were refused due to the user not having application permissions. So if you come across this problem, please check in DSM Control Panel “User & Group” that SMB is allowed in application p
My system is not compatible with S2. The app demands that I upgrade to S2 and won’t let me open S1. How do I open the S1?
How long does Sonos to fix an update? My arc sounds way too piercing in the midrange. It's just too sharp sounding now. The arc also has less mid bass with a now overwhelming mid range sound. I wish to go back to the original settings. Even the sub has suffered the low end isn't as solid; sometimes the sub is barely heard. I adjust the EQ and sub level and still not satisfied. This update is no good.
I know I should probably direct this question elsewhere, but thought I stood a better chance of getting a sensible response from this support community.I have a 38Gb approx Sonos Music Library that comprises a mix of .wma and .m4a files. Occasionally I would like to play this same music on my Sonos Move (and maybe AirPods, too) via the iPhone/AirPlay in the garden where i have no wifi signal. The problem is this requires loading the music into Apple Music, which I am happy to do, since there is plenty of spare memory on the iPhone. Unfortunately, all of the .m4a files import into Music with no problem as you’d expect, but not the .wma files (thanks a bunch Apple!).I have looked at various file converters to convert the .wma files to .m4a, but they are quite laborious and then do not do a good job of converting the Track and Album art.Any ideas as to the easiest way to sync the 2 libraries to ensure all album info exists in both places?
Why can’t I control my sonos fully though the google home ?or just cast the audio on sonos speakers ? Airplay but no googleCast ?or group my Nest Hub with my sonos speakers ?And let’s not speak about the disappeared volume volume control on pixel devices. As someone owing nest hub and sonos devices, that situation is frustrating. Things could be so much better if you worked together on providing features to your users, rather than screwing them because you can’t get your act together.
The android S2 app, fails to “find system” from the launch screen where you click “find system” the same algorithm is used for both “lets fix it” or “update network” Neither one produces a result but defaults back to the launch screen. “make sure all your products are powered on. This could take 1-2 minutes.” Once selected it displays “searching for your system” for approximately 3 seconds it reverts back to “make sure all your products are powered on. This could take 1-2 minutes.” And I shouldn’t have have a play 1 plugged into Ethernet make use of my system or update the wireless networks.
Hello! I still use the Sonos controller cr200 with my S1 system. I recently added the BBC Sounds app (using the S1 app) and that doesn't seem to work on the controller. Neither does Sonos Radio. They both work with the S1 app on my iPhone. However, the Spotify app and 80s 80s Radio app does work on the controller. Is the reason the BBC Sounds and Sonos Radio apps not working on the Controller due to the type/content of the apps? Thanks.
Hi! :) I will get married soon and need to take care of the audio in the dinner room.At home I have1 playbase2 sonos one1 sonos:1 1 sonos move.In total they should be more than sufficient to create a nice sound atmosphere. Now I wonder how I can realise that. Is it the only way to give each of them an own room and combine the rooms or is there a smarter way to realise that? What are your thoughts and ideas?
Random tracks/artists are not showing up on my Sonos system, so I’m wondering if I’m at/over the library limit. May I submit a diagnostic to find out?
Since we cannot play youtube if we are not premium, i purchase the youtube premium specialy for sonos… Now why i cannot cast directly from youtube premium app like amazon music, spotify, tidal etc…
My ex boy friend’s security cameras still connect to my sonos and send alerts all the time. “Someone devoted one XXX Street side of the house”how can I remove his security cameras and stop these annoying alerts please?
Hi all,It has been a while since the Ipad Air 5 has been released and it is still not supported by trueplay. Do we know when the Air 5 will be added?Sorry if this has been asked before, I did try to look for it but I couldn't find anything.Kind regards,Laurens
Ok so moved to the Roam after having UE booms for years. They have a dedicated app that can be used to alter config, see battery levels, change equaliser settings and lots more.I understand that the Roam fits in with Home network and all those things are available via Sonos app when at Home. But once you leave the Home Network and Roam you can't do anything. That's insane. Yes it connects seamlessly and does its main job which is play music etc. But to not have the ability to access the settings is ridiculous. Is there any way you can do it? Even with a 3rd Party App?Thanks
