Hey everyone. I have a problem. I uss two Play:5's hooked up to a Shield TV (Android TV box). When I play something it generally works flawlessly, but sometimes it just doesn't play the audio (when I check the app it also shows that the speakers are paused -- if I unpause the sound resumes). Sometimes when I resume a movie it works, sometime if doesn't (without changing a single thing -- strange!). This is very annoying when f.e. watching a movie and having to find your phone, open the Sonos app and manually click on play. I use a USB DAC (Creative X-fi 5.1).-Autoplay is turned on (off has no effect)-DAC>Input cable is of good quality and only 60cm long-Adjusting source level doesn't seem to make a difference Please, suggestions. Frustrating problem.
Hello, I bought a defective playbar and wanted to fix it for myself. After replacing the defective parts, it starts, but the LED flashes white every few seconds.Does anyone know what this is or what the cause is?
why does sonos disconnect from tv every time tv is turned off? Sonos fails every single day... multiple times a day. I am looking to sell all sonos equipment…Arc, 4 one... and a Move... Must go...
I have seen that many people have experienced incompatibility between SkyQ and SonosI have a Sonos system - TV Beam, Play 5 (2) and 2*Play1. All was fine until I installed SkyQ.I had problems immediately on install - lost speakers, IOS App not finding the Sonos next.I have done many of the basic bits - cycled router, Sonos devices on/off.I have ended up with One sonos Play1 connected to network, via Ethernet and others linked via Sonosnet (WM0). Main SkyQ box connected via Ethernet and mini via WiFi. At the moment things are stable, in that I can see speakers using IOS App (from some places in the house- will need to give it longer to see how stable. However if my iOS device is too close to either SkyQ box it does not find the Sonos system If I walk away from SkyQ box(s) to the other side of the house closer to the router (and Ethernet connected Sonos), then IOS App finds the sonos system and I can control the boxes. There is obviously some interference in the WiFi (meshes).I guess
When I first bought a Play 1 I was delighted and added 2 more, a Play 3 and a Sonos connect to link in my original stereo equipment. I Play music a over my house and love it, I love music. Then came Sonos 2, my Connect box is dumped - really annoying, Apple like behaviour. Then, I start having connection issues.Dropping tracks midway through.Missing speakers.Playlists not present.Unable to play tracks. All this came with Sonos 2. I regularly switch off speakers and my hub to reset them. Any advice ?
I saved up my money not really having a lot because of my age, i bought a Sonos one having loved the sound and compatibility with my google home. Only 1 year on. 2 months after it’s warranty it’s died, i can only say how sad it is and disappointing that a product could die in such a short life span, im sure others who care about the environment would have more to say with the implications of sonos’s having to be disposed of year after year. It’s crazy that i’ve seen a few others having this problem, i take real care of my products and it’s barely been touched left plugged into a surge protected plug socket, it shouldn’t of died but mine like many others have, i won’t be buying a sonos again at least for a long long long time and i just wish the products issues could of been sorted. countless other products have had no issues been left plugged in and haven’t died on me. This is the first ever electronics item that’s died on me ever!!.
Play 5 Line In from TV - Works Fine but Other wifi Play 5's in paired group drop on pause.I just have to add to Paired Play5’s to group of the Line In then it works fine again.Very frustrating. They’re on channel 6.They never drop when on music from TuneIn etc, just TV and only when silent.Do I have to purchase a soundbar to sort this issue or will an optical connection to TV sort this issue out?

I am not getting any sound from my speakers through Sonos when watching Verizon cable. How do I get sound?
I have an issue that the volume keeps changing when it moves to the next track. This is particularly annoying when tracs are connected, such as with a live album, where there is a noticeable change in volume when one track ends and the next one starts. I don’t know why this is happening, and can’t see any obvious way to fix it. I am running a Play Bar with 2 surrounds and a Sub, and the music is my media library on my PC. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.
I started with a Sonos 3 in my kitchen. Worked pretty well, but finicky and needed resetting several time. I added an older Sonos 5 to my living room. Same. Then I added a Move. Great when it works but an absolute PITA to keep the system running. I’m forced to use the S1 app because the 5 is too old to use the S2 app but that worked fine until a few weeks ago when something happened with our router and we had to re-establish everything connected to it wirelessly. Alexa, the printer, wireless controlled lamps, and (sigh) Sonos. And it has not worked right ever since. For a while, the app could find Kitchen and Living room OR Kitchen and Move, but never all three. And now it can’t find anything but kitchen despite a router reset and following the “find lost device” instructions. And I sit here not listening to music AGAIN. I would never in a million years recommend this system to somebody I like who isn’t a fn networking engineer.
Hello Team, I want to send commands to sonos to group between multiple players, but I want to do it in my local network setup, don’t want to use cloud api, so how can I do that, please help.
I recently had days of my devices disappearing from the app, only to reappear, my radio music stream dropping out , and when trying to reconfigure it failing to find server and new devices etc ..tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. Having a long look at things as aeverething was originally working fine and this only started to occur out the blue with no changes to my sonos or my network i had to look down teh lines of wifi interference, but not seeing anything with my other network devices. But in teh process i founf=d teh the follwoing. My router wifi network is a a BT smart hub, which select the wifi channel best for my enviroment autoselect a channel that least interferes with other neighbouring networks, in my case when i checked it was channel 11. BUt when i check teh app on my iphone the SOnos was set to channel 6 ( settings, systems, network , Sonos channel = 6).. I changed this to channel 11, and all my instability , access to server to update, disappearing devices have b
I have recently moved and after setting up my Sonos system in my new apartment I am experiencing various issues with the system. I've not experienced any big issues with Sonos before but now more or less everything is malfunctioningI have two Sonos one speakers that I cannot include in my system. I have made factory reset of the units and added them several times without success, after addition I receive a message that they might not show in the Systems tab and I need to unplug the speaker for it to show up but they never show. I have also used the Find missing products function but it does not help. When starting the Sonos app, it often shows Cannot connect to the system. After a minute or two the greyed out Account and System tab starts flashing and after some time it is connected. Search function is randomly not working (spotify is connected) Even though when I am playing Spotify through the Sonos app the search function is indicating “No service connected” when I search. I have a Sonos Amp that constantly loses connectivity. As soon as I start playing via the Amp, connectivity is lost within minutes. This is an ongoing issue and has been going on for many months. Please advise what is causing this issue and how to resolve. It is extremely frustrating. This is a relatively new device (9 months old) and having looked forward to listening to music through the Sonos amp it is becoming more than frustrating and incredibly disappointing I have a device that does not work as it should
Salve ho un problema con l app di sonos mi chiede di entrare con il mio account ma mi chiede la password di una mail che non è la mia come posso fare?
Hello! In the apartment complex, we live in, the central electrical wiring was burning, causing massive power surges in the entire house that destroyed many devises including 4x Play:1 speaker.I bought the Sonos speakers in 2014 in Germany and meanwhile moved to Delhi, India. I am looking now for any way to get them repaired without having to send them around the world. Does Sonos themselves provide such a service or can anybody recommend an independed repair shop in the Delhi NCR area? Thank you! Best,Fabian
Hi all, thanks in advance for your help. Here’s the setup:1 Sonos Connect2x Play 1 Speakers2x Technics 1200 mk21 Rane TTM 56S mixer Issue: Playing vinyl from both turntables through one play speaker for years, no problem. Sonos connect plugs to Master Output plugs on mixer.Today, paired a second Play 1 Speaker; now only the right turntable plays through both speakers, and the left turntable only coming out of the one original Play speaker. Thoughts?

12:15PM, I’m writing this note in hopes that someone benefits. Speakers through house, playing Spotify crickets for tinnitus. Sound will not play consistently, restarts often, doesn’t play on all speakers. Many calls w support, same feedback always…”reboot all systems”. Zero help and the worst part is - you know it has problems. 900+ posts on your site alone for a speaker system while Elon Musk has intelligent cars. Good luck Sonos.
I just want to say thanks to Sonos for sorting me out with a replacement speaker. My play 1 gen. 1 had developed a muffled distorted sound. I reached out for help and after a bit of back and forth, they identified the problem as a well known hardware issue and offered a replacement. Now this speaker was waaaay out of warranty but they replaced it all the same. This type of service is why I have adopted Sonos throughout my house and was the second time they have stepped in to replace out of warranty speakers. So thanks again sonos – you have a customer for life here.
My current set up is ISP modem (in bridge mode) to Google Wifi, to network switches. I have ethernet throughout the house so I have a number of devices wired to the network. This includes one Sonos Connect. The Connect seems to kill only the wired network. I’ve done plenty of rebooting, unplugging, replugging, etc. If I leave the Connect off the wired network, everything seems fine. If I plug it back in, anything with a wired connection eventually either loses network connection or fails over to WIFI. WIFI still works fine.I assume this is something to do with STP but I can’t change that setting in Googile or the switches. Is there anything else I can try?
I have a problem which happens every few days. The sound becomes ‘broken up’ and jerky - like using a microphone that’s not connected properly, so we get every other word, something like that. If I change to a different tv channel, it’s fine, then go back to the original channel, and that’s fine too. So it’s an easy fix but so annoying!!! The other day I came in the room with the tv on and the sound was just stuck on like an ‘echo’ - sort of ‘pay pay pah pah pah…..’ very rapidly. Like feedback I guess. I turned off/on and it was fine again.why so many issues with a premier product that is not cheap. My Arc is connected to my Samsung Neo QLED TV via a Smart Connect box using the e Arc port.
My toddler put a toy ball in the sub and I can and I can’t get it out. I can not find anyone to repair the sub and sono’s will only let me send it back with a payment of $550. The sub works fine but you can hear the ball rattling around at certain times. It’s just really annoying. Does anyone know how to take this apart or have a good way to get the ball out ?
I have a Sub and two Fives. There is something off with the upper mid treble on the Fives. IMHO and it drives me nuts! The overall sound of the Fives is outstanding. Then an instrument, often a drum sound, will hit that particular frequency and sound very artificial. Anyone else experiencing this?
