I recently set up a Sonos system in my living room that consists of an Arc, a Sub (Gen 3), and two Sonos One’s. Yesterday I had to update the firmware of my router as it was having connectivity issues, and the speakers disconnected after the update. I updated the WiFi the system was connected to via the Sonos app, and all the speakers were able to successfully reconnect except for one of the Sonos One’s. I reset the Sonos one by holding the button on the back down until it flashed green, and the set it up through the Sonos one app. When it asked what room to add it to, I chose the “Living Room” which the other 3 products are a part of. However, for some reason it added to its own new Living Room, called “Living Room 2”. How do I get this Sonos One speaker added to the existing Living Room with the other 3 speakers?
I would say the vast majority of average people want to disable Wi-Fi on their Sonos because they want their home hardwired and are not comfortable with Wi-Fi.In my case, I have a dog with a glioma brain tumor which even cancer.org says arises from radiation exposure. He spent most of his life with the Wi-Fi router near his bed - so I’m attempting to hardwire my home now that he’s back home from treatment.I was very upset to see, after paying an AV expert $300 to come in and fully hardwire all my Sonos components and set up a router switch, that you guys don’t actually turn off Wi-Fi even though it explicitly says I’ve done so in the app.Maybe it won’t “work” with Wi-Fi anymore, but it sure as heck hasn’t turned off the ARC sound bar wifi radiation “atomic bomb” which, others have reported many times, is emitting levels of radiation far beyond acceptable limitations for human health as per guidelines. If you don’t agree with me or believe me about this, please look it up.(Just to head
I own two (2) Ikea symfonisk bookshelf speakers and i just bought one (1) Ikea symfonisk lamp gen 2.I realised that the lamp lacks by far in terms of bass compared to the bookshelf speakers. Is that normal ? I raised the bass at +8 and there is only a little change there. Is that normal or my speaker has a bass problem ??
This is more of a nuisance than anything else so I did not formulate it as a question. Periodically, the Sonos app on the iPhone, iPad or PC will be unable to find the Sonos system or will only find some of the devices in it. It is sometimes the case that the iPhone for example finds everything, the iPad finds some devices and the PC finds still a different combination of devices. The system contains a Connect, two Play 1s and a Move. Sonosnet is not in use. Sonosnet did not work well in the environment and appears to suffer from interference from my 4 node Linksys Velop mesh Wi-Fi system. The mesh makes use of the overlapping 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channels thus stepping on Sonsnet when it tries to use 1, 6 or 11. The Connect is wired via Ethernet and its wireless radio is disabled. Both Play 1s are on Wi-Fi, as is the Move. From the layer 2 perspective, the MAC address table of every switch in the network contains the MAC addresses of every Sonos device and of all devices running the Sonos app
Hi, I am have having problems with the next/previous media keys on my new Logitech K780 Keyboard. Initially, when I set up the keyboard everything worked fine. It controlled which ever media player I had open, including (& most importantly) the Sonos Desktop App. Then yesterday they stopped working with the Sonos desktop app. Specifically the next and pervious song keys stopped working. All other keys including play/pause works fine. I have tried an online **keyboard test** , tried using other media player and my K780 controls iTunes and Spotify fine. I have also tried using other wireless/bluetooth keyboards and they along with my built in laptop keyboard control the Sonos desktop app to move the song along or go back one fine. I have also tired doing a safe restart on my laptop and disconnect/reconnected the keyboard several time. I have also tried restoring default setting through the Logi Options App. None of these simple troubleshooting methods seem to have solved the problem.
I’ve seen older topics on this issue, but they were closed and it’s still occurring. Seem to be a few people experiencing this too. When the Sonos alarm starts, often it plays the wrong station, and the display says both the correct station and wrong station. Sometimes it does play the correct station.I have mine set for BBC Radio 6, but sometimes it will play BBC radio 2 or radio 4.This is using the Sonos radio app.
Hi.My Playbar keeps disappearing from the s2 app.when I reboot the playbar by power cycling it will reappear then drop again after an hour or two.also my sonos one surrounds will not connect to the playbar. I submitted this diagnostic report 1021399668.any ideas?
Hi, been using a Sonos amp with no problems for about 2 years. Went to turn on today and heard a click then nothing. Out of warranty, and as an engineer stripped it down. Fuse ok, but I saw a chip had blown on the power board. U3, between R20 and c19. Could somebody let me know what and if this chip is available?
my brand new Sonos 1 speaker is vibrating when there is bass. It’s not even at half volume.
Have 2 Eero Pros in my house, the one connected to the modem is hooked up to a Play:5 and that is outputting SonosNet. My other Eero is in the bedroom with wireless backhaul. I removed the saved network credentials from my Sonos app so it is only connecting via SonosNet and am on Ch 11.After a slightly painful set-up process getting everything up and running, my only issue right now is that I can only control my speakers when my device is connected to Wifi 6.Not sure if this can be fixed but is is super annoying. At least on my Android devices that support Wifi6, the Wifi6 symbol in the notification bar shows a “6” symbol. On Apple devices there is no indicator. As soon as I go to the kitchen or the bathroom, Eero determines it is too far for Wifi6 and switches to regular wifi (Still 5ghz from checking the Eero app), the Sonosnet speakers can’t be found. Is there anyway to make it available on regular wifi?
Hi,I am having difficulty connecting to my new Arc which was bought as part of home theatre. Sub and 2 x One SL have no issues.I’ve spoken with help line and we discovered that 2.4GHz wasn’t working on my modem. This has now been rectified following a reset of the modem as instructed by Telstra and I can connect to 2.4GHz on iPhone and iPad.I am still unable to connect to the Arc. Can someone please let me know if I have set the modem up incorrectlyI have a Telstra Modem - Technicolor DJA0231Software version 20.3.cFirmware version 20.3.c.0389-MR20-RAThe 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless networks have different names and passwords 2.4GHz Interface settings areEnabled Standard 802.11 b/g/nChannel 11Channel width 20GHzShort Guard Interval - OnCyclic Delay Diversity - AutoSpace Time Block Code - OffOutput Power 100% 2.4Ghz Access Point settings areEnabledBroadcast SSID - OnSecurity Mode WPA2 PSKWPS - OnWPS AP Pin - not selectedWPS AP PIN Code - 8 digit number which doesn’t look as if it can b
Had a beam and Ones set up beautifully with a decent tv for a couple of years without any issue. This week, for no apparent reason, certain channels won’t play sound. All ITV channels for example, even ones in HD are silent. BBC fine. Netflix went silent but I’ve fixed that I think. I’ve updated the Sony tv, no change. I’ve changed all available audio output channels. PCM silent. Audio 1 digital option works, audio 2 doesn’t. I’ve checked all cables. Fine. Music is fine. I’m utterly flummoxed. Any help gratefully received. It’s not the end of the world but the kids are annoyed. it’s a Sony 4K tv.
I recently got a new Samsung TV, a new Apple TV 4k, and a Sonos Arc.Quite frequently the Arc audio does not work and I have to fiddle with things to get it operating again. This seems to happen whenever I walk away from the room and things go to sleep. When coming back from sleep the Arc audio will not work unless I back out of whatever app I was in on the Apple TV and go back into the content. Sometimes doing this 1 time will get the Audio back and sometimes it can take many times. The other time it happens is when a TV series switches episodes. The Arc will be playing and when the next episode starts there will be no audio. Again, exiting the content and returning to it may or may not start the Arc audio again.Occasionally, starting any movie in a given Apple TV app will also have no audio from the Arc. Exiting and restarting the movie might fix it, but sometimes not and I have to try playing multiple different movies, trailers, etc. to get the Arc “going again” and then the movie I wa
Hi,First post on here so hope this is correct way to do it. I have searched and similar posts hadn't been updated for 1 or 2 years.Last week I bought 2 x play one sl to use as surround speakers for a playbar I have happily used for a few years connected to our tv. First impressions were great, really added to the experience but didn't take long before issues started. When audio plays, regardless of 5.1 tv input, 2.0 TV input or music streaming, a delay develops on the surrounds, like an echo of the playbar, after an indeterminate period of time. Also, the sound will occasionally cut out on the surronds for a split second, but this issue is less rare.I am not grouping with any other sonos in the house when this happens (1 play 1 in kitchen and 1 play1 in dining room) just using my "lounge" playbar and 2x play one sl group which sonos applied as part of initial setup. Turning the surrounds off then back on with the app temporarily fixes echo and brings audio back in sync, but not for long
I use my iphone to stream YouTube Music Premium to my 5 room system via airplay 2. It used to work just fine, but since I added a pair of Fives i’ve been having trouble with the music stopping. The most common symptom is that the rooms with a pair of Fives and a room with just 1 One stop playing. This most recent time I noticed that they were no longer selected in the airplay 2 speaker group as shown on my iPhone’s airplay menu. Anybody else having this trouble or have any ideas about what is going on?
Hi, I haven’t had any problems in the past using Apple Music through my Sonos. Then we signed up for Apple One and now I can’t access My Playlists. I’m logged into my iTunes account and I can play music from Apple Music, just not my own. I keep getting the “There was a problem connecting to Apple Music try again later” message. I’ve tried reauthorizing Apple Music, but only get the problem connecting message. The odd thing is my playlists appear occasionally and it looks like the music’s in there, but it won’t play and then disappears. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have been ripping my cds to flac files to play via Plex to Sonos. I have some files which I ripped a few years ago and they play fine. The new files I’ve just ripped will not play and throw an error saying files are not encoded correctly. The only thing I believe different between these files is the compression level used. The older files uses a compression level of 6 when compressing the flac, where as the new files I used compression level 3. When looking at the metadata for these files I also see the older files seem to have album artwork embedded where the new files do not. Other than that I can’t figure out what might be different in how these files have been ripped. They are both 16bit 44100Hz sample rates which is supported on my Sonos. Here is the stream info for each file.Working file:METADATA block #0 type: 0 (STREAMINFO) is last: false length: 34 minimum blocksize: 4096 samples maximum blocksize: 4096 samples minimum framesize: 14 bytes maximum framesize: 13732 byte
I have a new Orbi wi-fi setup. My Sonos now only sees the wired Sonos products and not the 2 separate Play:1 speakers. Ive tried all the 'reconnecting' suggestions from the forum with no joy. I would apprciate any suggestions as one of the Play:1 speaker sis used for Bedtime stories in my girls room as they go to sleep! *Moderator Note: Modified title in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
Hi,I want to return Sanus Speaker Stand. I buyed 13/01, and is not working for me due to the huge stand up floor piece. I want to buy the wall mount instead https://www.sonos.com/es-es/shop/wall-mount-one-play1-pairBoth are same money, so I want to return the stands and get the wall mount, but there’s no way in Spain to chat or call anyone at Sonos. Seems the customer support is very bad and I’m wrting here. Also I’m trying to print a label for return and the page I get doesn’t give me the label.
Bought a new 2 CD set with same name as old 1 CD. I deleted the old folders from my NAS drive, updated to be sure it was missing and then copied the newly ripped music to the NAS drive. The issue is that Sonos only brings up the old data, still thinks that one CD has 8 instead of 19 tracks and doesn’t know the other CD is there at all.Double checked that the new files on the NAS were present and both new folders are there but Sonos is not updating despite several tries - after an update it somehow resurrects the old data for the original CD which was deleted and thinks that it is still there? Any ideas?
Hi. My sonos connect disappeared from my system according to my phone app. Multiple attempts to find it/reconnect were unsuccessful. I tried turning it off and on again. That didn’t solve anything. I tried resetting it. That was a mistake! Now, I just have a flashing red light. I called support and they said “it’s a known issue” “we are working on it” “a fix will be rolled out soon.” That seems unlikely considering the connect is so old (how long has this been a known issue)? Any ideas on how I can get my connect working again?
I have the most simple setup in the world and it’s not working. 4 Play 1 - grouped in 2 paired groups. Yet efter at little while the one group goes out of sync with the other. Is there any fix for this or doesn't Sonos care at all. Wouldn't be the first time.. Thank you in advance for answers.Claus
Hi,Got two refurb Sonos One speakers delivered today and noticing some intermittent crackling on one of them (stereo paired).I’ve submitted diagnostics, #454299761 - it’s the left Office Speaker that’s crackling.Thanks.

This has been an ongoing problem for a while now. I have observed that I always have trouble connecting from Spotify on my computer (or my mobile app) to my Sonos system a short time after using my TV connected to the original Playbar (via optical TOS-Link cable) and configured with 2 Play 1 surround speakers. This is not just a problem connecting to the Playbar setup, but once this happens, I cannot connect to any of my other speakers throughout the house either. I have 2 other Play 1 in a stereo pair, 4 standalone Play 1, and a Move. Spotify fails to connect to any of them after turning off my TV and starting up Spotify. I typically attempt to connect to the Playbar/surround setup first, but once this fails, all other speakers just hang there in Spotify waiting to connect, and never succeeding. Everything is on the latest firmware (as of Jan 2022), but as I wrote earlier, this has been an ongoing problem (more or less ever since I have had the setup, which is going on 3 years now).
