I have tied to reset my password with little actually no success. I press the password rest get a link and then update the password and nothing happens the new password does not work. It is most annoying and I have made sure that I am using the correct email address and I follow all the steps. Still no action by the way It is a Roam I already have a beam and a sonos 1 It is really beyond my comprehension why it is necessary to log into a Sonos account to activate and use / set up/change something that I have paid premium dollars for. This is enough for me to return the Roam and ask for a credit. I’d appreciate any and all suggestions

On the other hand if your account is properly setup there is no need to log into your account to setup (add) a speaker. You are always logged in unless you sign-out. There’s no need to sign-out of your account after the initial setup. That said if sounds like you never finished setting up your account properly.
Thank you for the quick response its much appreciated. I did in fact set up the account correctly over 18 months ago. The problem only rose this morning when having purchased a new roam speaker I tried to install/set up and I was denied access to my account the email address was correct but I was advised that the password was incorrect. FOR YOUR INFORMATION when I set up a new account I take screen shots and both email address and password matched so there was an issue with the system I followed the password set up link and each new password was also rejected. I then tried to set up a completely new account - same issues.
I’ll try and work it through but in future I’d try and not buy a product thsat required you to open up an “account” to use it.
Have you tried contacting Sonos support? I’m sure they could resolve this in seconds.
