How do I connect the Sonos connect directly to Samsung Smart Tv?

I have just added a Sonos Boost to my existing Sonos system. I added it using the iPad version of the Sonos controller software which was straight forward. Can anyone tell me if that's it? Seems too good to be true. Do I need to do anything to connect my Sonos speakers to the Boost (i.e. Disconnect them from the standard wifi network they have been working on) or is it all sorted in those simple set up steps for the Boost?

Are there any available diagrams that show options for connecting turntable to the sonos system? What is the preferred method? Why does the playbar not have more inputs? Very discouraging for us trying to build a sonos system.

Hello everyone, So I just recently bought a Sonos Beam. Loving it so far. The Beam is connected to my tv through HDMI Arc and i have no optical cable running from my Xbox One to the sound bar so I think I'm just passing it through my tv (I'm new to home theatre stuff haha) When tinkering around in my Xbox settings. I'm able to set the HDMI audio to 5.1 compressed with a Dolby Digital bitstream format HOWEVER, I'm also able to set the HDMI audio to Bitstream out and then keep the bitstream format at Dolby Digital. Between the 2, I can't quite hear a difference. What is technically better? 5.1 uncompressed or Bitstream out? Thank you!

Hi all, Happy owner of a new Sonos Amp since X-mas! Looking to get a turntable plugged into the Amp. I am curious to know if there is an option for analog bypass on the new Amp? Have the signal from the phono pre-amp passthrough direct amplification to hardwired speakers connected to Amp? My understanding is that the older Connect-Amp would perform an analog to digital conversion prior to play back through wired speakers. I assume the new Amp is the same, I guess.... But wanted to check here with the experts in regards to the new Amp! Appreciate the help.

I would love to get rid of my receiver and use the new sonos amp. I already have a sub and a def tech mythos SSA-50 passive soundar that has 5 channels. I enjoy the quality of both. Can I: 1. connect my tv to sonos amp 2. Connect 4 of 5 channels of mythos passive playbar (omit center) 3. Connect my sub to sonos amp 4. Pair 2 sonos ones as rear speakers Will this give me 4.1 sound with simulated center by sonos amp? How do you think quality would be for movie watching? For music? This seems cheaper than starting from scratch and buying an all sonos solution.

I just connected my new Connect Amp to 240 V while the switch was set to 110V (I feel so stupid). I have removed the fuse and ordered a replacement. There is also a yellow disk that is fried which I suspect is a varistor ?. Can anyone confirm this for me and suggest a suitable type as there is nothing written on it. It is yellow and 16mm dia and 3.4 mm thick. It was located in between two large electrolytic caps next to another identical component. Thanks in advance for any ideas

Before I purchase another Sonos, does anyone know if a way to connect a device to the Sonos One? The Audio Technica has Bluetooth pairing, but it's not clear how to connect the ONE to anything other than a computer or phone?

Hello All, Since I was not able to wait for the sonos / google home support. I decided to get a chromecast audio and hook it up to my sonos connect. The setup seems to be right. When I ask google assistant to play any kind of audio stream on my "sonos"(connect with chromecast audio) she plays the right music. When streamingh howeever I experience dropouts in all of th grouped sonos speakers. There does not seem to be any consitent dropouts at times it works fine. All of the grouped speaker drop out now and then. I Have a gouped home system with two play ones, a playbar, a sub and two paired play ones in the kitchen.. Who has an ideau why the dropouts occur? I cannot get the sound to play through my Sonos Beam when I connect and use my fire stick. What is the issue or what will I need to get firestick apps to play sound through Sonos bean? I am not using a smart tv so the apps aren’t built in. I connect the firestick. Help

Can someone tell me what is the most recent model of the Connect (dates on the bottom of device)? I have seen devices with copyright dates of 2004-2009 and 2004-2013 and I want to know if there's a newer model.

I have a amazon fire stick could I play the sound from the tv when using the fire stick through my Sonos Play 1 ?

Can I use Connect to use my Bose Cinemate II system speakers (includes 2 speakers and a sub)? I ask because the FAQs suggest it can only connect 2 speakers (and mine has... well 3 including the sub).

Just got a new Sonos Amp, and I have my TV connected via ARC HDMI and a turntable connected via the line in. It strikes me that the new Amp is unique in that it's the only Sonos product that has TV mode as well as a line input, which leads me to my question: When I turn off my TV, the Amp's zone stays in TV mode until I select a new source (pretty much the same behavior as a PlayBar, Beam, etc.), but if I start playing a record, Autoplay on the Line In doesn't seem to function, and I have to manually select the Line In as the source through the app. Is this the expected behavior, or do I need to tweak my settings? I know that for my PlayBar, if I'm watching TV, AutoPlay won't override the TV audio when a Line In source kicks in for another zone that's set to AutPlay for a group that includes the PlayBar. But for the new Amp, it seems like a no-brainer that the Line In should play automatically if there is currently no signal through ARC.

Lost a power cord for connect amp during move,where can I get replacement?

I would like to connect my subwoofer to a Connect Amp's subwoofer output. However, the sub out on the amp has a low frequency cutoff at 80hz. My subwoofer has its own variable lowpass filter and I do not want to feed it a filtered signal. Is there any way with the Connect Amp to feed my subwoofer a full-range signal from sub out, to allow the subwoofer's low pass filter to do all the filtering?

I mix records through my current amplifier and would like to do the same through the sonos amp but if there is a delay caused then it’s not going to work. My current amp is analogue and it works fine, used to have a connect and there was a delay when putting my mixers output through it. However the new amp doesn't have to put the output out wirelessly as when I’m mixing I’ll only use the speakers wired to it. Will I get a noticeable echo effect while monitoring the record through my headphones from my mixer and the output from the sonos amp?

I would like to add my old Hi-Fi as a source that can be played over my Sonos network as well as being able to play digital sources (my NAS and streaming services) through the old HiFi. I know the latter is possible with a Sonos Connect and I know that the Connect can accept an incoming source via RCA inputs but I am having trouble working out my particular Hi -Fi will output what is required and, if so, via which connections. Does anyone have any experience or can look into this to help? The HiFi is a Technics SA-EH760.

I just got and connect streamer, what would be the proper wiring from the sonos connect to the Rotel using the orca jacks. Which one would it get plugged into the r/c/l or other input to power 4 outdoor polk atrium 4 speakers any help would be appreciated

I would like to listen to my TV from my SONOS Playbase but I also have a Bang and Olufsen Beosystem with speakers that I can connect to the optical OUT of my TV. Can I use a Splitter to choose my TV sound? Any kind of splitter ?

Is there any way to delay the music to my play 5s or play 1s? I have my Sonos connect connected to a high-end receiver. I also have play ones and play fives in the same Sonos net. Trouble is I really like the sound from from my receiver, and I am unable to use the receiver to its fullest because there's a bad echo or delay from the processing of the receiver. Using fixed on the Sonos, and pure Direct on the receiver helps, but that only gives me two-channel stereo. I lose the subwoofer and the additional speakers. I know this is a problem for many people who have high-end receivers attached to a Connect. Is there any talk of adding a delay to the software?

I have some ribbon speakers and they are 4 ohms . Will the new connect amp work well with these or will it be just OK

Hi all........Can anyone help me out here please. I have multiple Sonos speakers around the house, some are wired at the router and all others are connected via wifi. I just added a Boost, and connected it to the router via ethernet. Does the Boost now take precedence over any other wired products connected to the router in order to create its own network?
