problem with iphone and ipad apps not playing music

My iPhone and iPad apps are inconsistent. They can see the speakers but sometimes, often but not always, can’t see my music library (on a NAS) or stream from on line services. On the home page sometimes my music library is not shown under “Your Sources”; sometimes it is but I can’t then see tracks, albums, artists etc.

I can always seem to run the system from my laptop.
I have rebooted the router; stopped and restarted the app; made sure everything is up to date.

System is as follows:

Beam; Play:1; Five; Playbar; 2 Roams; Play 3; and a Boost which is wired in. System ran fine for years and I would guess the problems started a couple of months ago. Help!!!!

Hi @voithite

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with your Music Library source occasionally going missing from the app - it does sound annoying!

Thanks for reporting - we are aware of the issue and are investigating, but we do not have an estimate for when a fix might be put in place. I will update this thread once I hear a fix has been included in a future update.

As you have found, using the Desktop controller is a possible workaround; another is to use the Web App.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for that. My iPhone 13 screen size isn’t supported by the web app. I have an iPad so can use that for the time being; it’s less convenient but will have to do for now I guess. The sooner a fix is implemented the better.
Regards

A

My Library disappeared from Sources on my iPhone App about 2 months ago and appears to be an issue with having a Mini Sub iwith a Playbar and 2x Play:1 surrounds as my Home Theatre setup. It worked fine for 3 months or so and then didn’t after an App upgrade. No solution from Sonos yet. Would putting a Boost back in solve anything?

This is not mentioned as a workaround in the documentation that I have. I personally don’t think it will help, but I really don’t know much about why the issue manifests to begin with.
