Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

I am having a very hard time getting support to communicate with me!
Hi, I think someone should really check the web site out and how it displays on ultrawide monitors. It’s absolutely shocking and almost unusable, and this is fully zoomed out!
I’m building my hi res music collection and am wondering if it’s worth the pursue 24bit/96khz quality. Currently Sonos can support up to 24bit/48kHz. However, with the release of S2, people are saying S2 shows the possibility of hi res music support. Is Sonos planning to support higher khz with S2?
Has Sonos ever thought of sending out user listening statistics - similar to what Spotify do?Then providing an option of a playlist using the songs I’ve listened to the most or ones I haven’t listened to for a while?I’d certainly use it - great bit of marketing and use of our data.
I received our ARC recently from a Best Buy online purchase and discovered the power cord was loose -- not remaining in its slot and so the device would not remain powered during the set up. Two days later (because we received it on a Saturday) I called Sonos support and was told to take a video of the cord jiggling to verify my story. I did so while on the phone and the Sonos employee told me a new cord would be mailed to me after my case was referred to the returns department. I was told to expect an e-mail from this department that would ask me to confirm my home address, and that this e-mail would give me the option of PAYING MORE to have this cord shipped faster. Three days later, no e-mail. I called support and was told the employee I spoke to neglected to forward my case to the returns department and so I must wait another 1-2 days for the shipping e-mail; and that (once I confirm my address) the cord would likely arrive in 2 weeks. I was told an expedited solution was NOT avail
After chatting with a Sonos rep on Sunday 10/25/2020, it was discovered through diagnostics that the WiFi card in my Sub (Gen 3) is faulty. I had only had the Sub for two weeks. I received an RMA email stating I’d receive a return label within 24 hours but did not come. I followed up via chat on Tuesday 10/27/2020 and was told it was coming. But it didn’t. I called Sonos on Wednesday 10/28/2020. Again, I was told I was in the queue and to expect it later that day. Nothing. So here I am, Thursday 10/29/2020 trying yet another channel hoping to find someone who can generate a return label. Is there anyone out there that can help? … BTW I have seen that this seems to be a shared experience across customers. WHY Sonos?!?! What is so hard about generating a return label with UPS? I’ve gone from a very satisfied customer to being pretty pissed off. Not sure I’ll be purchasing any other Sonos speakers. There is too much competition out there and experience matters too much to fail at an esse
Hello, I'm looking for a solution to stream Musik on my tv and have that playing in stereo of my 5.1 system. And still keep them grouped in that 5.1 room for when I watch a movie. If that's understandable. It works when I use Spotify on my mobile, but I'd like to watch for example twitch music streams in stereo.Thank you for your help.
Just a feature request. A simple way to adjust sound level on all speakers with one touch. So one touch to have same level on all speakers.
Has anyone else noticed the downtown in SONOS service? Wait times of 30-45 minutes, misinformation, inability to give accurate information on purchases/exchanges? I have experienced all and does not reflect well on an “engineering” organization. Last straw today: they requested all my shipping information (again) on an exchange they originally said was being delivered last Friday...
How do I make voice contact with customer support? Patience is wearing thin dealing with S2 app.
Hi,I'm trying to loging to the beta site to see what the next "assignment" is, but I keep getting a http 400 error. Are more people experiencing these problems?
I was a long time fan of SONOS, even after my Playbar broke down after 4 years. They sold me a refurbished Playbar for $160. All good so far. Now, 2 years later I had exactly the same problem with the Playbar. Trying to get in contact with customer service was terrible. Half our to an hour wait on the phone and getting disconnected while finally getting through. They told me they tried to call me back but never did. In the end a representative told me they wern't allowed to call back because they were too busy.I took matters in my own hands and opened up the playbar finding out 2 of the speakers inside are ripped. Pretty bad for a 2 year old Playbar. Wen't online and found the speakers for $14 each and changing them is a 10 minute job.I was planning to expand the SONOS speakers in our house but am looking into other brands now. Very dissapointed in SONOS which is supposed to be an A brand. Anyone having thoughts about that?
Sonos has three blogs. Only one of them has a functional RSS feed:Sonos Blog:Web: https://blog.sonos.com/RSS: https://blog.sonos.com/en/feed/ Broken. It’s just a redirect back to https://blog.sonos.com/enSonos Tech Blog:Web: https://tech-blog.sonos.com/RSS: noneSonos Developer Blog:Web: https://developer.sonos.com/blog/RSS: https://developer.sonos.com/blog/feed (works!)Can ya’ll please get these working so we can add these to our newsreaders?I love Sonos but not “open up three links manually every day to check for new content” love.
My Sonos system is setup in every room and also connected to the TV, sometimes it's blasting music non stop, other times it's playing as the TV sound bar. I notice that between acting as the TV bar and then playing music that the crossfade option turns itself off?! All of my playlists are set as alarms. Beyond changing up the playlists every one in a while, I have zero need to be in the Sonos app. And yet I find myself having to jump in to re enable crossfade. I note this issue has been floating around in the forum's since 2012. What's the go? Am I missing a key step or is something so simple and saving my preferences being overlooked?
I’ve been a Sonos user for many years, and I’ve gotten familiar with how music services work. On Spotify, Google Music, your library, etc, they all work the same way: you search for an artist, and when you click on the artist it shows their available albums. See below. I am on 12.0.1 But with google forcing users to switch to youtube music, I added it to my sonos system to see that it does not work this way. When you click an artist, you are instead shown every song in your library in alphabetical order. This isn’t a super helpful view, I’m hoping you can make the change so it is in line with the way every other service works on the system.
Hello---- I have 2 questions After uploading CDs to Youtube music, all your tracks are in ALPHABETICAL or with no tracks #s. Only through the Sonos app. It would be so much easier to have your albums in folders like you do with Apple Music. When will Sonos support Google Cast for Youtube Music? Thank you.
For weeks now I’ve been unable to login here normally. If I am not logged in (which I’m usually not because this place refuses to ‘remember me’) I click in a topic to reply and it prompts me to log in. I do then it takes me to a screen that I’ve never seen before. If I don’t click COMMUNITY from there I get stuck at being prompted to log in.Is there a setting I’m missing or this a new thing with this forum? It’s quite annoying.
Not a question but a sad result!!! When you set up surrounding with 2 Play 5 connecting a BEAM you’re loosing your connection through the input jack 3.5 and so you can’t hear anymore music from your turntable. Only solution for the moment: buy a SONOS Port !( 449 USD).......No comment!!!
Jeg synes det er for dårligt at når man køber Arc i hvid og så er ledningerne sorte .Er det en fejl eller er det rigtigt at i vil have at jeg skal selv købe hvide ledninger?
I have a huge investment in Sonos, with a playbar, a boost, a play 5 (2nd gen), 2 play 3s, a one, 4 play 1s, 2 connect amps, a connect, and now a move. I absolutely LOVE the ability to move around the house and have the same thing playing in all or any rooms, or different things playing in various rooms. Unfortunately, not all the people in my household appreciate music as much as I do, and often balk at anything playing anywhere at all. I would rather get rid of some of them before any of my Sonos gear, but alas, this is not an option. I also have a huge investment, including time, in my music library, and all geared towards use with Sonos. If I can’t listen to Sonos at times due to others being home and not wanting to hear it, my music enjoyment is then sharply limited to what I have stored in my phone and through crappy earphones, which I would rather not wear at all. Now, with the advent of the Move, it would seem that all the elements are there for Sonos to apply that technol
Wow - Is SONOS really forcing us to go out an purchase new a smartphone , to replace an existing perfectly functioning phone, if that phone can no longer have it’s OS updated to a version that SONOS is now saying it doesn’t support? How does one use the $1,800 investment in SONOS sound equipment if you don’t?This really took me by surprise today.
Sonos is the only company in the world who makes Arc, Sonos is the only source of information for availability and shipping dates for Arc, but Sonos is doing an inexcusably bad job of keeping customers updated.Like many others here, I was induced to purchase an Arc on 8/26 based on Sonos’ estimated 4 week delivery timeframe. We’re now at 6 weeks and rolling. I tried contacting Sonos support who offered zero help. I previously contacted the Sonos sales Team who tried but ultimately struggled to deliver any useful info. I’m now waiting on hold again (30+ minutes) for the 3rd time asking the same question because the status hasn’t budged, and Sonos couldn’t even be bothered to send me an updated when my shipping date was missed, or any time since. This is inexcusable for a proprietary solution. Sonos -- level with us -- when are you actually going to ship Arcs in volume? And maybe better yet, why are you still selling them with likely knowingly misleading delivery dates on your website? It
hi.i am currently looking to replace a 20yo bose 5.1 setup…my tv sits on top of living room furniture.the tv is sitting high. i was hoping it would be ok to mount the sonos arc above the tv. our seating is the normal couch and chair setup.how bad would sound quality be with it being mounted so high? I do not have the option of putting it anywhere else at this time…thanks...joe
Just received the vinyl set (play5 + pro-ject turntable) and when I opened it the counterweight for the tonearm was loose in the packaging and scratched the plinth a bunch. I cant find anything other than just a straight up return and theres not an option to select “damaged” when returning. All i can find is to call the sales department; but after an hour on hold, I think I am ready to give up on this and send it all back. Anyone have experience returning part of a set or returning damaged goods? Cant seem to get any concrete answers anywhere.
