Hi, I am wondering if I can play Bose Airplay 2 enabled speakers with Sonos Beam in multi room play settings. I have Sonos Beam and Bose Speakers with AirPlay 2 capability in other rooms.  Thank you  Harp

Hi, what if the battery of Sonos Move runs out forever and I keep the Sonos Move steady on its charge base?Will it continue to work because of the eletricity provided by usb plugged base? In other words if i do not buy another battery ...will it continue to work on its base because of eletricity power provided by the base?   waiting for your reply… thank you…   PS:How much will it cost the replacement battery?

Hi Guys! Just 2 quick questions as mentioned in the title.  As I found out if I use 2 Sonos One as Rear with my Playbar and Sub I will be able to use Alexa from the Ones. Only Airplay will be disabled. Is that correct? Can I pair the latest Sonos One with a One SL as my Rear Speakers with a Playbar and Sub? And if yes will it still be able to use Alexa from the single Sonos One? Thanks in advance Regards Michael

I have just ordered a Sonos Move and wish to use it possibly as a party speaker and was wondering how loud it can actually get-would it be able to be loud enough to hear the music over people shouting and conversing at the same time?

I’ve just bought a Sonos Move for myself and two Sonos Ones for my parents. After hearing how great the two Sonos Ones sound paired together I’m seriously considering ditching my Move for two Sonos Ones instead. I’d ideally like to purchase a Sonos One for myself and use it with my Move in my bedroom. From my experimentation with my parent’s Sonos One it seems as though the Move must be its own “room” and be “grouped” with the One for them to play together.  My issue is that I would like to simply select a single “room” from any of my Apple devices and have the audio automatically play from both the Move and One. When toggling between apple devices and sources, I often must go back into the Sonos app and regroup the Move and One for them to play together.  I’d like to be able to open my Macbook Pro, select the audio icon from the menu bar and choose a single “room” or something from the audio drop dropdown and pump audio through both the Move and One. Hello,   I have a paired set of Sonos One SL’s. After 24 hours of not being in use I seem to have to unplug them to reset them in order for the app to see them.   The problem is I set them up really high and hard to reach. I thought they would stay on stand by until the next use.   Anybody have any suggestions?   Thanks

Is there a way how to combine two sonos (one, symfonisk ...) to stereo pair and stream the airplay 2 on them? Is this grouping possible? As you can pair two homepods. I know that you can combine two sonos in sonos app but is this set able to accept Airplay music from iPhone and play it into two channels stereo?

How do I know what generation are my sound bar, sub, play 3s, and play 5s? Can I tell from the serial number or another product identifier?

I just got off the phone with tech support - my Sonos cube cant “connect”with the app on my phone.I haven't used the device in a month. After going through the usual antiquated prompts I was told that unless I plug in an ethernet cable from the modem/router to the Sonos cube It cannot be fixed - WHO HAS AN ETHERNET CABLE LYING AROUND in 2020? All I can say is that its Valentines Day and I have no music. Pathetic. I’m shorting SONO stock on Monday.

I’ve had two Play 5 1st gen trouble free. Now I’ve  just purchased a Sonos One SL. Headaches from the Bluetooth. I know it can be used for initial setup, but can’t it be turned off?

Dear all, I am building my house. I have multiple Sonos speakers series 1 and 3 in my current house and wanted to move them into my new house. I also wanted to use multiple Sonos connect and link it to ceiling speakers in multiple rooms.    my contractor has put power for Bluetooth speakers in the ceiling space but no hard wire for ceiling speaker to link to Sonos connect. The ceilings have been plastered and decorated… is there a way I can keep the existing Bluetooth setup and link to a Sonos setup? hope this makes sense, apologies if it doesn’t.  Kind regards John

Would I be able to join a Symfonisk speaker with a Play: 1 to create a stereo pair?

I'm thinking of getting the new SONOS bluetooth speaker MOVE but have a few questions: 1. If I connected MOVE with my home's wifi network, it will work exactly the same as the other speakers and I can put it wherever I want, right? 2. If I'm not at home and bring MOVE with me, both the speaker and my mobile connected to the same wifi network, can my phone's SONOS controller app works and connect with MOVE, so I can search via the controller app and play the songs via MOVE? 3. When I'm home and have MOVE connected and grouped with the other speakers, can I also use my mobile phone to connect with MOVE by bluetooth at the same time, so I can play whatever content from my mobile phone (for example YouTube or other music services) and the sound come out from all speakers? Hopen I can have a reply from the expert here. Thanks!

Heads up. The paint on the black Sonos MOVE easily comes off. We have had it around the house under normal use. This is the result. I recall in the demos the drop and water effect. I struggle to understand  why the paint falls off. Support said this was cosmetic and not their problem. Hard pill to swallow Sonos. Letting everyone know to be careful with Sonos “rugged” device that is designed to “move”. 🙁    

I have 2 Move pair in stereo when use wifi. Is it possible to pair 2 Move to Bluetooth? Right now I can only pair with 1 Move.  

Has anyone else noticed Sonos Move sound drop outs (for 2-3 seconds). It's happening through both WiFi and Bluetooth. On WiFi if the Move is grouped to other speakers they all cut out as well.

Should I switch to the apple Homepod? it seems like the Homepod has superior sound than the Sonos One, and maybe later on apple will release more speaker for whole house audio like sonos? I just don’t want to buy a sonos product and only get support for 5-7 years. Their stuffs are really expensive.

Does anyone see the value in adding a SONOS SUB to a stereo pair of GEN 2 PLAY: 5's? I've been told that the DSP / crossover functionality of adding the sub to this set would lighten the low end load of the PLAY: 5's, allowing them to more powerfully and clearly produce the mids and highs. My specific questions: 1. Are there really high and mid frequency benefits to be gained from allowing the sub to handle the low end? Or would the sub just handle the low end, while the highs and mids on the PLAY: 5's sound exactly as they did without the SUB? 2. The pair of PLAY: 5's already deliver substantial bass, so are there even more substantial / noticeable gains to be had from adding the SUB? Or do 2 PLAY: 5's roughly equal the low end output of 1 SUB? I consider myself a very lightweight audiophile, so I would love to gain more clarity and power if adding the SUB can achieve this, but I do not want to waste the money, if the stereo pair can provide roughly the same clarity an

Genuine question. What is the likely timeframe?

I’ve invested about $2500 into Sonos equipment in the past two years and have been trying to live the best life with streaming through my house, but also using them as computer speakers in my office. This was complicated and required buying the new Amp to forward the line-in to drive my Play:1s and Sub (which sound awesome, btw). And that works, functionally although it’s a bit awkward to start up every morning with the UI. I’ve been seriously considering buying a pair of Play:5s and their line-in to simplify my desk setup along with another Sub and Playbar for home theater… so that’s another $2500 in gear I was waiting to pull the trigger on. I figured I could use the Amp with some outdoor speakers later. But then Sonos makes their future intentions clear. Split systems are coming. Well, here’s what a split system looks like. I just received an email from the CEO of Sonos claiming that the older Sonos products will not be bricked, but will no longer receive updates.   While i was originally concerned the first time i heard you will not be providing updates to older models, I am increasingly concerned that the my older and new Sonos products will likely no longer continue to work together. I don't know if Sonos realizes but its products are priced at the top of the market.  There are many other options out there for wireless speaker systems.  I purchased Sonos products for the streamlined integration of speakers across my home - not to have some work around or a split system. As someone who has enjoyed your products and continued to invest in them over the years, I am EXTREMELY disappointed to learn that the high end products I have purchased (and which are hardly old enough to be considered legacy technology) will not continue to work with the Sonos system.
