After soon 10 years as a dedicated Sonos fan. I’m really impressed of how useless and bad the new app. Nothing really works now. It did previously. But not any more. All 3 speakers can only play as a group a few times a week. Music comes and goes on all speakers. The app is so extremely slow and hard to use. I’m considering of selling or throwing this junk away. It really must be a system with better performance and ease of use than this.
Looking to get some outdoor speakers on my newly built covered patio and I'm looking at options. I currently do not have any receiver/system of any kind (only using a small Bose blutooth speaker for inside the home). If I'm understanding correctly, Sonos recently released outdoor speakers that are "passive" and require no wires or electrical connections of any kind? And in order to operate those, I will first need to purchase a Sonos Amp? Sounds like a pretty good option to get some good sound both inside and outside my house if I bought the amp, several indoor speakers, and a pair of outdoor speakers? Am I understanding this setup correctly? The only thing I need is Wifi to get this going?
Hi, my speaker fell forward (long story) and landed on a pointy thing and poked a whole through the speaker cover. The important parts a fine and the sound is still okay, although I am pretty sure it has impacted sound quality. I was wondering if there was any way to replace the cover.
Hi, I bought two Sonos Five White from same retailer and S/N are quite identical so same production lote.Has anyone noticed on their Fives the grille portion separating from the main body?Mines are rather slight but I can still notice the gap, especially on the white model. This is probably a production issue because are both exactly the same, grille separation and gap in the same spot.
Are there any possibility to connect Bang Olufsen Wireless (WISA) speakers to my existing SONOS system? I have 4 AMP:s, 2 One. i relly love the B&O speakers and still want to use SONOS
Hi, since receiving my Sonos five I’ve noticed that it drops out intermittently. This happens when I play either Spotify or Sonos radio.
HelloI have just had a very frustrating chat with Sonos support. I have noticed recently that on Bluetooth my Sonos Move is no longer showing battery % (with wifi disconnected etc.) - the battery meter shows but it is blank. Raised this with support who are telling me that this is not a feature and there is no way to look at battery life from bluetooth. I’ve spent 15 minutes trying to convince them that I have used the feature before only to be told that they would be happy to help me connect it to WiFi, see the battery life and then disconnect it again…..Am I going mad? Has the feature been removed?
Hi,Every now and then I do a load of work outside in the garden. The garden has good wifi signal and I'd like to play some music through the Sonos app.I know I could get the connect:amp and a decent set of our door speakers, but I'm working so I frequently that it doesn't justify the cost.Does anyone know if there's some way I could plug a 3.5mm wireless transmitter into my play:5 gen aux and play it through some wireless speakers like that? I've got power outside for the speakers. Thanks
Hi. I have a playbase and 2x Sonos Ones (surrounds) connected to my TV and I am very happy. I am keen on exploring vinyl and I am looking at a Lenco L-85 which is quite cheap at £115 which also contains a pre amp. What I am wondering is can I use my Sonos Ones as a stereo pair using a Sonos connect without disconnecting from my tv setup.
Can’t control volume from the plus minus buttons, re speakers. Frustrating but can control from the slide control. Come on Sonos sort your app please.
Along with or Instead of the current charging base option that is all one connected piece. The Sonos Move should have an extra option for purchase that receives power via USB type C and an accompanying 45 watt USB-C PD charging block also preferably detachable form the cord). Type C to Type C cord preferably for future proofing. This would help stream line the product as it can be charged via the USB type C when being transported or use on the go. This was almost a deal breaker for me when trying to decide between the Sonos Move and the Bose Portable Home Speaker. As the Bose PHS has a type C charging base and can easily be charged with an ordinary android or apple type c charger
I have a wonderful pair of Play 5 gen 2’s with the Sub…...I would like to add “one” Play 5 for a rear chanel ambient effect, but obviously,it would have to be the Gen 3….Is this doable? Thanks
Hi guys in the community, so I understand why Sonos played it safe and went with a mid-woofer for the overall sound quality on the Sonos play 5 and the Sonos move but see Apple didn’t play it safe and it still sounds fantastic and like I say the Apple HomePod just factually sounds better at max volume. Now I like the treble on my Sonos move better but I definitely much preferred the bass on the Apple HomePod over the Sonos move. I mean the Apple HomePod has a larger woofer in a smaller box. And I couldn’t figure out how it’s like a year and a half older than the Sonos move but yet it managed to output deeper cleaner bass boom/bass bump from a smaller box? I feel like the Sonos move could of definitely had closer to the bass power of the Sonos play 5 (Gen 2) if it would of had a woofer instead of a mid-woofer because the Sonos move and the Sonos play 5 both run mid-woofers. I definitely think the Sonos move could of had maybe near quite as much bass as the play 5 but it could of had dee
I saw in the FAQ that the Move battery will last 900 charges or 3 years. What if I mainly leave it on the charging tray and occasionally use it solely on battery? Will the battery last longer than 3 years then?
I decided to purchase a Sono Move a little over a week ago and so far I am extremly dissappointed. Sales blurb states 120hrs battery life in STBY, 10hrs playback. After fully charging and setup I’ve been lucky to get 2 days (48hrs) when in stby (power button on back pressed and all lights off) with a couple of hours playback. It also randomly switches itself back on after being set to stby. A few days ago I fully charged it, switched off the mic, set it to stby and the next morning, some 10hrs later, it was already down to less than 60% charge remaining after no playback. Presently I’m recharghing every other day with maximum of 5hrs playback.I love the speaker but it’s battery life is at best rubbish, even my power hungary smartphone lasts at least 2days.Is my speaker/battery faulty or is this normal? If that latter it will be returned for a refund.
I have an older PLAY5 plus two PLAY 1s and a BEAM and just took delivery of a new PLAY5 to be compatible with S2 I thought I could play all the new compatible stuff with S2 but then switch back to S1 to include my new PLAY5 . S1 now says the Play 1s and the Beam is incompatible and can only use the old PLAY5 as a stand alone. Is this right as it is now what I previously read?
I would like to use Move as one permanent speaker in other part of the house while not used outside, but I wonder if this will damage its battery at some point. Some systems has a "smart" battery management capabilities that use Power straight when battery has reached 100%, is this also applicable to Move? Thanks a lot,

Hello,A friend gave me his old Zone Player S5. I am thinking to buy a used Play 5 Gen 1 from the market. Can I pair them as a stereo pair to use them with S1 ?Kind regards
I have added two Move speakers to my Sonos setup. Unfortunately, they keep disappearing from the System list. For instance, right now, my "Office" Move speaker is missing from my iPad app, iPhone app, and pc (although it is available on my Android app). My "Kitchen" Move speaker is missing from all four. When I check again later, I expect both speakers to be on the list, without me having done anything. They keep popping in and out of existence. (Also, sometimes, the devices will show up on the list, but I won't be able to control them: Starting playback fails with an error message stating that, well, playback failed.)I've read the Standby thread (https://en.community.sonos.com/wireless-speakers-228992/move-standby-question-6830346) with interest, but I don't think that's the issue here. The speakers are not on standby. For instance, right now, the "Kitchen" speaker reacts when I press, say, the Microphone on/off button, and the "Office" speaker will even resume playback of the podcast
I just set up my Sonos One yesterday, and when I tried to play my first song it disconnected from wifi and hasn't reconnected. Not only that, but I tried to factory reset it by holding the infinity button while reconnecting power, but that didn't seem to work. Now, when I plug it into a power source, the little light doesn't even turn on. What should I do?
Can anyone help , my toddler has stuck a bit of Lego inside my sub woofer an it’s so far in it’s stuck an I can’t get it out an the sounds doing my head in with the rattling , ive tried everything 😫
I have had a Sonos one for around two weeks. At 25% volume I can hear beautiful low bass tones vibrating my hardwood floors. When I increase the volume to 50%, the bass all but disappears into the music. I have read in another post that this is the result of the loudness feature enhancing bass at low volume level. When I toggle off the loudness feature it reduces the overall richness of the sound and still loses bass with increased volume. If this is an automatic protection feature to keep the bass from distorting, I would prefer control that myself. Would it be possible to provide a software solution that would allow this speaker to deliver consistent tones at all reasonable volume levels. Thanks in advance!
Just purchased two items to start my Sonos journey, a Boost and one OneSL.Setting up (as a SonosNet) was straightforward – the information on the Sonos Support pages was most helpful and the technical answers to some questions in the Community were very informative. Today I’ve been able to link in my Brennan B2 and the whole system works like a dream – being able to choose music at one end of the house from the source at the other is superb! So to my query...Is there a way to mute the ‘beep’ every time you touch the volume control or play/pause on the OneSL? I just find it an annoyance, and unnecessary – the change in volume or start/stop playing is sufficient confirmation of the touch. Many thanks for any advice that can be given.
