Hi,Got a few questions regarding a Sonos Roam that concerns me…Multiple networks? Set up a new network when visiting family, back home it didnt recognize our network anymore, a lot of time to solve that issue, as the app was showing the wrong instructions for getting it back.. (how to click the buttons when reconnecting) Bluetooth. I cant play through the SONOS app to the Roam when outside and lost the wifi? isnt that the thing? Cant start playing music when i’ve put it at charging.. had to remove the charger and start the music, then back on power source.. Always dead of some reason?BRErik
Does anyone know what the last 2 recent firmware updates to the Roam included? There is nothing on the Sonos website under release notes regarding these updates. Thanks in advance!
can I connect SYMFONISK frame to the Beam? thanks a lot
Is there a way to have the Sonos Roam connect to a paired Bluetooth device automatically upon turning it on? It seems to default to the Sonos system and switches to Bluetooth only if I press the back button for 2 seconds or explicitly connect to it on the phone
Has anyone noticed the Move sounding different/less robust when connected via Bluetooth vs WiFi to the same audio source? I understand the technologies transfer audio differently, but are they both lossless? Is there an audio source setting that can be adjusted to make the transfer more similar? Thanks,Mike
I have a protected under deck patio. Absolutely no rain on it, but it is outdoors. Looking at putting a pair of Sonos 1 under there. I wonder if anyone had experience with leaving Sonos one speakers outdoors, but not in the weather/rain? I know I can buy outdoor speakers and an amplifier, but add $1000 that’s too much.
I’ve just purchased a Roam. Great sound. Unfortunately, it tells me battery is low and to charge with an audible noise, at whatever time day or night! How do I turn this feature OFF please? Thanks
Hi, I have my Apple TV hooked up to a sonos roam and a sonos move in the same room via AirPlay 2. This setup works fine when we’re watching TV or playing music on the Apple TV (although it periodically disconnects which is kind of annoying). The real problem happens when we try to screen mirror an iPhone to the Apple TV. We usually do this to stream peloton workouts to the TV because the iPhone app is easier to use than the TV app and it connects to Apple Watch for heart rate monitoring. A lot of times we can’t even get the audio to play (it will be totally silent and we just see the video), but if we do get the audio working, there’s around a 2 second delay between audio and video. If we change the Apple TV to play audio through the TV speakers, the delay is gone. Does anyone else have this issue? Is there any way to fix it?
HiI have a couple of speakers that mean I have to use S1 controller app, can the new Roam be used with this or is it only S2 compatible
From my notebook I could see Sonos arc accessible via network share.I see the following folders available:What coudl I do with them??
Okay so I have 2 Sonos S1’s that I have setup in my kitchen as a stereo pair and it was working great I had them connected to WiFi and everything it was amazing and I was really pleased with it. But if the WiFi connection is for some reason stopped (either by someone Turing it off or power cuts) it will refuse to automatically reconnect and I have to go and reconnect them manually. And with multiple speakers in multiple rooms that’s quite a challenge! I run a few of my other songs speakers because I know the WiFi connection is quiet a challenge but surely there is a way to make it connect on its own? I have attached the reconnect reminder but if this could be updated that would be amazing :).
Hello, my Sonos One SL’s sound first became muffled after about the first 10 minutes of listening. That time, the sound became normal again after I did 3x factory reset. The next day, the sound became muffled again, and this time factory resets doesn’t fix the problem, and this problem exists across all streaming service and also airplay.Wifi connection shouldnt be a problem because my other sonos one SL in another room works fine. Please help.
How do you power up the Roam from hibernation (deep sleep)?
I’m considering buying a set of Play 3’s since they are available for around $100 used, but I’m wondering how much longer they will be usable. I use S2 to control my beam, sub, move, and connect. It sounds like the way Sonos handles these situations is they will eventually stop supporting it and stop providing updates, then one day certain services may stop working when the streaming services like Spotify are updated to a newer technology than the Play 3 can handle. Or will Sonos just brick the Play 3 and offer people a discount to upgrade? If I can get 2 or 3 years out of the Play 3’s it’ll probably be worth it.
I currently have a pair of Fives set up as stereo for music only listening. I’m using a turntable and CD deck as sources. Works great. I was wondering if I could add another pair of either Ones or Fives to the existing Fives for multi channel audio like SACDs?
Hos can I se which WiFi Move is use when I had 3 WiFi configured in Sonos app?
Can I use the Sonos Move to listen to programmes on an LG smart tv ?
I am planning to get a Roam and leave it constantly plugged in to use it primarily as a wifi speaker, with the option of taking it out and about when needed. My question is, will leaving it constantly plugged in degrade the battery life? The FAQ for the Move explicitly states that leaving it on the charging base will not degrade battery life. However, the equivalent FAQ for the Roam is notably missing this reference. Thanks for your help!
This is going to be a controversial post but I believe it needs to be discussed.. I have both the move and the roam and I love them both. Every time I take a trip I beg myself to bring the move but I look at my backpack I have to carry on the airplane and the weight of the move and the roam always wins…Then, I get to my hotel room and fire up the roam and start playing music and somehow I miss my speakers at home and wish I had taken the move.Size is everything and I know there is only so much sound a small little lightweight speaker can provide.. so I ask the question, can any other speaker in the size footprint and price range of the roam deliver better sound? I come from the Bose world and replaced my soundlink 2 with the roam and it definitely sounds better than the Bose but still lacking for me…
I can't be the only one that thinks the Play 3 needs updating,it's clearly the best of all the Sonos lineup,The most versatile and best sounding without losing an arm or leg.. C'mon Sonos give us an Updated version.!!
I have a stereo pair of Fives that has a line in from a Denon turntable. The Denon has a built in pre amp and this all works fine. However it seems the overall volume isn’t as loud as I feel it should me. It’s perfectly listenable but less than the CD player also attached. my question is if I were to bypass the turntables built in preamp and instead add an external preamp might my overall volume increase?
I seem to be having a similar issue with one of my Playbases not being able to access the wireless network. My support diagnostics2039956771.
I have 2 Play 1’s set up for a surround sound with my Beam. They worked great for at over a year. Lately, the Play 1’s just disappear and Sonos doesn’t recognize them anymore. So my room where I have the surround sound set up says (Beam + ? + ?).The steps I have followed to correct:Remove the Surround Sound setup on the App Factory-reset the Play 1’s and rename them Completely set up the Surround Sound again.I usually have to do this 3 or 4 times before it is successful. And within days the surround sounds doesn’t recognize the Play 1’s again. I’m getting very frustrated. I really, really like the surround sound (when it works) and I’m wondering why I didn’t have this issue for over a year and now it happens all the time.FYI, I have a mesh WiFi in my house. Same one that I’ve had for several years, so it isn’t that. Would appreciate some help!!
Does anyone know if the Sonos One SL can be connected to a Smart TV?
Hi,Just wondering if other owners have the same issue. When I put my roam in my bag the on/off switch is not protected and it happens that it switches on and when I want to use it a few days later the batteries are empty. I believe the on/off switch should be not sticking out but be either recessed or otherwise protected from being accidentally pressed to avoid unintentional switching the speaker on. Thanks, Andreas
