Can you listen to Sonos HD Radio over bluetooth or Airplay 2 with a Roam speaker? Do you still get the best quality or is that only when it’s part of your home system?
Is there a way to order a replacement grill for a Sonos Play:5 Gen 2 speaker?
Long story short, I want to connect sonos roam to a monitor, that has no speakers. Will connecting sonos roam via usb-c to 3.5mm cable work?
I have two systems set up. One for home theater. This consist of Beam 2, Sonos sub, and two Sonos Ones for rear. Perfect…For music I have the Sonos Amp connected to two Klipsch floor speakers and two Bose shelf speakers, with a Klipsch sub. Very nice, I usually set the music system to full, however I was wondering if it would be worthwhile to add two more Sonos Ones for the ambient effect as well. This new system of music is meant to replace my old system where I enjoyed full surround sound for my music. Music matter a lot to me.
I am new to Sonos. I wanted to setup Sonos Speaker. Can I play Sonos Speaker through Bluetooth. Help me with guiding steps.
Hi. I have 15 Sonos speakers connected in various configurations across several rooms. Two of the speakers are first generation Play 5’s controlled via the S1 app. The rest are controlled via the S2 app. Both systems are rock solid and perform flawlessly independent of each other. I have purchased a Sonos Roam and have attempted to connect the speaker to my system using the S2 app. The system appeared to get confused during set up stating the new roam required an update. During this update the speaker disappeared from the S2 app. For some reason it is now only visible on the S1 app. I’m fully aware its not compatible with the S1 app. I am now unable to remove it from the S1 app. I have reset the app and wi fi router without success. Should i delete the S1 app, reset the roam and attempt to connect to the S2 app and If successful then reinstall the S1 system? Thanks.
Hi everyone, I received my Sonos Roam yesterday and I am quite concerned by the battery drain on standby mode.My roam is losing about 10% every hour on standby, which brings us to 10hours but I was expecting 10 hours in playing mode.Should I be concerned by those stats are it was the expected consumption?Thank you !
The previous responses were over a year ago. Any chance this feature has been added
Hello, I know Sonos beam does not have bluetooth. I would like to know if it is possible to connect directly (wireless) a Sonos Beam via Airplay using Netflix, Prime or Flex in order to have the sound from the Sonos Beam speaker ? Best,
Hi All Currently on Holiday and the cottage we are staying has a Sonos 1 , can i link my account to get the 1 to work ? , Not having much luck with it at the moment ,
I have a Rotel A12 and Bowers and Wilkins 685 S2 speakers. I like them but there was something about my stereo pair of Ones that I liked. Guitar strings were forward and clear and warm and vocals were the same.So I am trialing a stereo pair of Fives to possibly replace my current HiFi system and they sound too airy and lack the warmth and definitive clarity of the Ones.My summary is that they sound like Sonos speakers that are afraid to be Sonos speakers. They should be a huge step up from Ones. They have great bass but the bass isn’t integrated well enough. Their ability to have such deep bass should better fill out and warm up the rest of the instrumentation. Vocals are weak and light with too much air surrounding them instead of being warm and tight and direct which I find in the Ones.I continue to listen hoping they break in. I get people don’t believe in speakers breaking in but they do. They are moving parts that become more relaxed. It WILL affect sound. My second One sounded
Look, the good thinks about the app are: to control the EQ, set Trueplay (ONLY in iPhones, no iPads or Android devices…) and to set the voice or night mode. I find it useful for those things I just mentioned. Then if you want to search your music is a nightmare. The users, We love to use out streaming music services such as Spotify and go to Spotify Connect and select your device or speaker and play our music on that selected device. We like to go simple without complicate our life. Also, the interface in Spotify for searching music is more dynamic and accurate than the Sonos App.Now here is the problem, when I go to Tidal or Qobuz apps and try to look for the Sonos speakers in their Tidal Connect and Qobuz Connect I don't see them. So I have to go to the boring and ugly Sonos app and search for the Song, which it is not as accurate as searching from the Streaming Music App. In addition If I found the song and then I want to start the Song’s Radio in the Sonos app, this is not possible.
Does anyone have any good solutions for cleaning the grill of the arc from child induced peanut butter smeared into it?
I am experiencing problems with my Sonos Roam in relation to wifi connectivity. The speaker will only work on wifi when virtually on top of another Sonos speaker or with feet of the wifi router (therefore unable to Roam!). The range, if I can call it that, is non existent. If I switch to Bluetooth but then try to group the speakers, it becomes intermittent or simply stops playing. This is driving me mad and as a Sonos fan, I’m desperately disappointed in it.How can I resolve this issue?
Hi All,I have been debating getting a Sonos One speaker (still undecided on the One vs One SL but leaning towards the One SL refurb) and wanted to check in with folks on how well your Sonos One works with AirPlay 2. Does your Sonos One work well all the time, sometimes, or often has issues with AirPlay 2?This would be taking into account two things:General AirPlay 2 performance (smooth playback, music quality, hiccups, delays etc.) Multi speaker performance (either through Sonos speaker grouping, or AirPlay 2 speaker grouping)Would really appreciate hearing any feedback from the community :)
I can connect my Play 5 with ethernet. If I then remove the cable it connects to wireless. however if I power cycle the play 5 it won’t connect to wireless. Appreciate any assistance.
Probably a dumb/easy question but I couldn’t find the answer anywhere. Can I use any USB-C cable to charge the Roam? The one provided with it doesn’t quite fit with the silicone case I bought due to the way it’s angled.
Hello, as I just received my SONOS ROAM I have tried many times today to get it connected in Bluetooth by following the procedure as described in that link.https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4989?language=frSo I kept pressing the button at the back but the blue light never went on and as a consequence the product had been left undiscovered for my mobile phone. Is there anyone who encountered the same issue & what should I do to get it solve. Thanks for your help
Hello, I’m currently in a boarding school and had to hard reset my Sonos roam, as it was not working properly. Now I have the problem, that I can't set up my roam, as I don't know the password to the wifi because I only got access to it by installing a profile on my iPhone. Do you know any ways to solve my problem? Thanks for help
Hi all,I was so excited to receive my Sonos Roam this week. First Sonos product for me, but I love the brand and my interactions with other Sonos products in the past (friends, showrooms) have always been great. Unfortunately, I sent my Roam back to Sonos for a refund. The problem? That power button at the back. Everything else is excellent, sound, design, size, I love it. But the power button is a really poor implementation. There is no click whatsoever unless you press the button really strongly. I never knew if I was successful switching it on or off. If you press the button a bit on one side it just doesn’t work. It got on my nerves and I ended up sending it back. I was thinking maybe I got a bad unit, but I have seen a few comments in Reddit which are consistent with my experience. how is it working for you? I might go to a brick & mortar store to try one out. If I can confirm all units are the same I will have to wait until this is fixed or get an alternative brand which,
Hello Sonos Team Happy Wednesday, I was checking details on your Sonos Play 5 generation 2 & 3 and just wondering is possible to adjust-update the app so all generations can pair, which will increase customer experience since final users will be able to pair their devices to enjoy the high quality of this amazing products.Regards
Accident’s happen!Does anyone know where to get a replacement top. Thanks, Zac
I’ve had my Move for about a month, its the 1st Sonos product I’ve owned, coming from the world of headphones and Hifi. I am confused by the lack of detail around the functionality of the Move. There does not seem to be a proper manual as such, makes it hard to understand how it works. I use the move mostly in 2 rooms. The second room does not have a charging loop and I’m not near the device when its in use. After playing music and stopping, after around 30 min, it goes into a stand-by stage. I’ve read a few other discussions on the topic, again seems odd we are asking each other how these things work and not referring to a manual that defines its functionality. I’ve been supplied a link to a document on the Sleep Mode -https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4828?language=en_US, 1st rep didn’t seem to know about it, second didn’t know about it until after factory reset, etc… I want to be able to resume playback after 30 min from the play button on top or the app. For now the play button d
4 years ago I installed a playbase, woofer and 2 alexa-enabled Sonos Ones (1st gen) in my family room. Since in this configuration only one of the two sonos ones will respond to alexa, I think I will relocate one to my study and replace it in the family room with a speaker that is not voice-enabled. I have two questions: 1. what is the best choice of speaker to purchase to substitute the existing sonos one, and 2. Can I configure a single speaker in the study to play mono, or can it only be configured to play either left or right?TIA .... Greg
Is there a way to connect a Sonos Roam to 2 different WiFi systems? I have one WiFi at home and one at my cabin. I would like to be able to just take my roams up to the cabin and have them work there.
