Hello Everyone,

We will be installing in a Museum gallery several SONOS 5 speakers. They will be above guests heads on one of the walls of the gallery and will require a secondary safety mechanism in case the mount fails.

Usually, we would attach a safety cable between the speaker and the mounting surface, but I have not found a mounting point on the speaker to do this. Short of drilling a hole in the cabinet (which would void the warranty) or using some sort of super adhesive mount that could hold the weight of the speaker (might also void the warranty), I am kind of short on ideas.

If anyone has experience with this, I would appreciate any and all suggestions.

Consider using the Sonos Five Wall Mount and incorporating some type of industrial strength netting as shown in this picture:
