Wow seems to be a common thread here with these Sonos Ones…shame product was not built well to start great music average experience... Report submitted number is: 451659277I have fixed the IP address for both Sonos products...I still need to reset my One each day…I have had this issue with two different routers and wifi setups...there is something defective about the wifi in these devices… Please come back with report analysis so I may update whatever needs to happen for this delicate little flower to work on wifi...
I have a standalone Play 1 in my bedroom that does not connect to my wifi anymore. It worked fine for years, the problem started when I changed my wifi from 2.4 Ghz to 5 Ghz, and then after back to 2.4 Ghz (because I learned Sonos does not work well with 5 Ghz). The Sonos system in my living room is still working perfectly.I tried everything to make it work again without result:unplug power and restart reset to factory settings connect with ethernet cable to update sofware reboot my routerEverytime when I try to connect the Play 1 to wifi using the steps in the Sonos app, I get the same message: “we could not connect the play 1 to your wifi”.The 2.4 Ghz frequency (active) and 5 Ghz frequency (inactive) have separate names in my router, so there can be no confusion in the system about that.Thank you very much for your suggestions :)
It seems a shame that it is only possible to add two subs to a home cinema set up. Why not two Fives and two subs?
Hi,I have a question not easy to explain but I will try : I bought a sound at Arc connected to the TV on ARC output, a subwoofer, two sl one. I coupled these four speakers in the application, they are installed in my living room. When I listen music the sound is playing on all speakers but when I watch a movie a tv, or when I watch tv the same sound is not playing on all speakers, the main sound is playing on the sound bar and the other sound (the background music) is playing on the two sl one.i would like to ear the same the sound on all speakers all the time. Is it possible ? I checked the different options in the application without successBest,titep_50
Hi community! I’m a long time Sonos owner (I have about 12 Play:1’s) just ordered a couple SL’s, had a Play:5 Gen1 pass through my hands and ordered a Gen1 Beam (used). I’m a little bit of an enthusiast, having gifted a couple play:1 to my parents, the play:5 Gen 1, etc. I’m here to say hi, but to ask something: In a large space, what do any of you feel is optimal arrangement of Play:1’s or Ones? The reason I ask this is that I have an open loft apartment. I have stereo pairs around in the kitchen, office, living room, but recently discovered that adding a single unpaired between the stereo pair added some kind of something that I liked a bit. It got me to thinking: Would I want to put all of my “left channels” to one side of the apartment and right channels to the right side? I wonder if there is any possibility that the Tuning feature could be enhanced to apply to pairs of speakers in a room to optimize the entire room into a single 360 experience of sorts? Has anyone done their ow
I just added a Sonos Move to my Sonos home Wi-Fi system. I took the speaker away from my home, connected an iPhone to it via Bluetooth and performed a Zoom meeting. I wasn’t able to control the volume of the speaker via the side buttons so I tried to connect to it via the Sonos application for iOS. However, the application displayed a “WiFi isn’t connected” error. Is there a way to manage a Sonos Move via the Sonos application when it is connected via Bluetooth and a cellular data connection? Otherwise how can this issue of controlling the volume be resolved?
Does Trueplay saves after pulling the plug of Sonos Arc? Or a retuning is required? Asking the question as I had pulled the plug to switch my sonos arc off to reset it to “reactivate” the airplay. The app still shows the trueplay has been set though. Thanks!
We have been occasionally getting a buzzing sound like a doorbell ringing from our Kitchen Move. I have it set with an alarm in the morning to go off with Sonos Radio HD Mellow Morning. Once it starts it does not stop until I turn it off. Does anyone have any experience with this and how to fix. The same thing happened with our Roam when we lost power a ways back. If not, I will send a case in. Thanks in advance.
Hello,This is my first Sonos product, which I received as a gift. The network setup requirements were mildly frustrating since we were traveling for the holidays (which I mention only because I’d seen another thread about this and thought I’d chime in), but it set up easily enough when we returned home. Reading on the functionality, I thought it could be a wireless smart speaker, but enabling Google Assistant drains the battery faster than the charger it came with can keep it going. After discussing with Support, I disabled the assistant since it seemed to be to blame for the power drain. Otherwise, between the assistant drain and it refusing to stay off, it would have had to be on a direct USB-C power supply permanently. After getting it set up on WiFi, I can get my Synology music to play to it directly most of the time, and found it could integrate with SiriusXM. Other web sources e.g. Youtube Music required upgraded accounts vs ‘just working’ on Google smart speakers, but I imag
Connected System shows Play 3, Play 5 and Move (L & R), but no sound from Moves.
I believe the Roam and the Record player connect - both displaying blue light BUT no sound emerges from the Roam speaker. Can/should this work?
Hi, I have two questions regarding my Sonos Roam which I hope somebody can help me with. Can I place my Sonos Roam in the bathroom? Will it be destroyed due to steam/moist from shower? Can I wirelessly charge my Sonos Roam on an ordinary QI charger (like what I use for my iPhone) or do I have to buy the special Sonos charger if I want it wirelesslybr, Alexander
I treated myself to a sub for Christmas and one thing I noticed during the unboxing ceremony was how the casing didn't quite fit perfectly together along one edge i.e. the inset panel doesn’t sit flush with the outer casing. It is not something I'd think twice about normally but I am mindful of the premium price I've paid here and so was surprised to see it, not to mention somewhat disappointed given that both sides of the sub will be visible.I have included some photos to help illustrate (although I’m not too sure how well I’ve captured the issue - I think it looks worse in real life) and I was wondering if anyone else’s was like this i.e. is it ‘normal’?
which is more recommended? use sonos roam connected to the electrical current or disconnected since I do not move it from place
I just upgraded to the latest version of the Mac OS, 12.1, Monterey and it no longer finds or connects to the Sonos Roam speaker. It had no problem prior to this latest update. I have tried all the other suggested fixes to no avail.
Charging works with the Wireless Charging Base but not with the USB C DC plug, even I’m using a 45W output
Has any one bought a Maclean floor stand for One SL speakers - for example this one hereThey seem a good deal cheaper than the better known stands but, as far as I can tell, Maclean seems to be a recognised name.
I want to connect DVD audio wirelessly to my Sonos amp & ceiling speakers via Roam. I think there should be Wi-Fi and or Bluetooth enabled DVD or Bluetooth-ray players out there.Does this sound doable? If so should I go for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to the Roam?Any other advice welcome!
Is a DAC needed when using Airplay 2 to connect an Apple device to a pair of SONOS 5 speakers?
I have two Sonos Roam speakers for my office and it's always just one speaker that will randomly stop the music and start back up a random amount of time later. I would have them either studio paired or just playing the same station on both speakers within like 15 feet of each other. Does anyone know why this would happen?
I've seen it asked many times and its currently not available but could we have some support for this to become a feature? Surely the hardware is capable
I just got a Roam, and I’m having issues with the playback from both the system through WiFi and through bluetooth from my phone. The Sonos app shows that music is playing, but it’s faint and stuttery. Turning it on an off (either to sleep or full off, ) will sometimes fix it, and starting the music stream on one of the other speakers, grouping the roam to that speaker, then putting the Roam to sleep and waking it up, will often fix the issue. The power light will be solid white, but once I attempt to play music it starts flashing slowly between white and orange, which is supposed to indicate diagnostic mode, but even a factory reset and reconnecting the Roam to my system isn’t helping the issue.I also have yet to get the Roam to do anything more than stutter through bluetooth, and since the factory reset, can’t even get it to re-pair through bluetooth. I’m hoping there’s a quick fix, but my searches have come across similar issues, but no fixes (though it’s possible I’ve missed someth
Hi everyone,I’m trying to add a product to my current system that already has 1x SONOS SL in it. My second SONOS SL product wasn’t found when searching. Unplugged and tried everything, apart from factory reset. If I factory reset the second SONOS SL, will it reboot the system (including the first SONOS SL)? scared to try!
My sonos roam is brand new out the box and it's not charging and not turning on. How do I order a replacement? I can see this is a long standing issue from other reviews online.
I accept it is not possible to stereo pair two Roams via Bluetooth. However, the Roam appears to handle Bluetooth and Wi-Fi simultaneously as I can receive a Bluetooth input from my Sony Bluetooth record deck and then group the roam with my other Sonos speakers via Wi-Fi.I would like to buy a second Roam and use two as a stereo pair with my Bluetooth deck. Can I do this? Will one of the Roams be able to simultaneously receive a Bluetooth input from the deck whilst working as a stereo pair with the second Roam via Wi-Fi?Logic says yes, but I’d rather not shell out another £179 if it doesn't work.
