I have a Playbar in my family room and a Sonos Play: 1 in my kitchen, which is connected to the family room. Can I sync the audio between the two? I see how to create a "Stereo Pair" but that appears to only work if i have two Sonos Play: 1's and want to create surround sound. I simply want to hear the same audio(ex football game) in both speakers.
I purchased my first Sonos speaker, Play: 5. I plugged it into the router and followed set up instructions. Entered my wi-fi network and password. Received message that Sonos was now connected to my network. Played music. As soon as I unplugged the speaker from router, the speaker tried to connect and could not. I have tried all suggested fixes. Restarting router, Advanced Setup, nothing works. The speaker will not connect and play music unless it is plugged into router.
My sonos has simply died overnight. Fuse on the plug has been checked, plug has been checked in various sockets and it has been linked to a the MAC and separate MAC via ethernet cable all to no avail. Surely a product such as this doesn't simply die after such a short life span? Where can I get it checked? Yes it is out of warranty but I would be shocked if it is a write off at only three years old. Play :3 Serial -00-0E-58-79-90-A6:9 Product - SONOS PLAY:3 (PLAY3-BLK)
Hi! I just purchased a Pro-Ject VT-E R Vertical „Plug & Play“ turntable. Now I want to hook it up to my Sonos PLAY:5 speaker. How do I do that? The attachment shows the output from the turntable.
Hi can I place a play 1 in a corner of the room on a stand or is it best placed away from a wall I'm asking as I have to buy a stand so if it's not advisable to be placed against the walls then I won't buy the stand then do some more head scratching lol on where to place them in our living room many thanks all b
Hi there, I've read most of the posts related to this issue but wondered if anyone can have a look at my diagnostics to tell me what the issue is - 6986682 I have a CONNECT attached to my TV (line in) and two Play:1 stereo paired grouped with it to play sound to my TV. I have a wired ethernet to them and they are on SONOSNET. The issue is that, the play:1 intermittently cuts out for 1 sec and then comes back on. This doesn't happen when I play music from streaming services. I have changed lineout to level 10 and changed the SONOSNET channel but i don't seem to be able to resolve the issue. Can any help?
I have just added the Sonos Playbar to my samsung smart TV and have discovered the lack of DTS functionality through reading this forum. I find it disappointing that the best we can get is a stereo effect through the playbar? My originial search was based on identifying a way of using my existing Onkyo nr509 AV Amp with the playbar however that appears to be a no go option as well. The concept of buying and adding the playbar as a step change to the surround sound system I had has left me feeling I have done the wrong thing? Slightly cheated in a sense too, I hear what Sonos are saying that the majority of content is streamed and agree we use netflix however I also enjoy having a collection of Bluray discs and feel Sonos should fulfil both requirements. If anyone can give us an idea as to when this may be re-considered as it looks like Sonos have closed the subject down from reading through the forums. Do I revert to my old system and return the Playb
Please be aware that the Sonos products, wonderfull sound as they have, only can be used as a stereo device when watching movies. In some rare instances a true and very compliant Dolby Digital 5.1 audio source will be played fine. Very often there will be frequent audio drop-outs. DTS movies will not work. DD+ will give audio drop-outs even though the bit rate is low enough for the optical interface. Xbox 360 slim DD5.1 seem to work for some reason. At least through a state of the art hex-core android TV.
I have a Play 1 which works with my iPad pro and iPhone but won't work with my 2013 MacBook Pro. When I set it up the first time it worked across all devices but not any more. I have configured my firewall to work with the Sonos , I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app but still no luck. Any suggestions
I'm trying to work out if I have a fault or not. Play tunein radio fine but when I select 2 different stations on 2 different devices, my new sonos connect stops playing unless I group the devices and play the same station. Is this a limitation or a problem?
New to Sonos and I love it. I have a sound bar and sub set up with two play1s as surrounds. I also have a sonos connect set up to a benchmark DAC1 to Meridian 556 and a pair of Boston Acoustic T1030 flood speaker. I have a turntable connected to the Sonos connect as well. So far I love the sound so much from the Sonos I am thinking about selling my T1030 speakers! Should I be looking at getting a pair of Play5s for the music? If so should I sell the connect and connect the turntable to the Play5s? Or will the experience I am getting with the 5.1 sound be just as good? Should I be looking at replacing the T1030 speakers with something to get a better listening experience? I would be will to spend about the cost of two new play5s if I sell my current speakers. But I was also thinking of getting a Rega turntable with the money too. Thank for the advice. I never thought I would be considering getting rid of my traditional Hi-Fi system.
Does anyone know if an Amazon Echo will be able to act as an additional speaker with a Sonos set up, in addition to providing voice control? For example, if I have two Sonos Play 1s, will my Echo be able to act as a third integrated speaker?
Hi, I own a Play5 (2 gen) for a few months and I am considering the benefits of buying another one for stereo pairing. For that, I would like to hear the honest opinion of people who tried both setups regarding whether the improvements with 2 speakers worth the money or not. What might affect my decision: -It stands in a medium size bedroom, plays mostly for personal use and in volumes from 15% to 50%, -I bought the Play5 simply for the sound quality over Play1 and Play3, not exactly for loudness. -I send my TV audio to it as well, but 90% of the time it's for music straight from Spotify. -I am more a fan of clean than powerful sound. Thanks in advance
What are the best places to trade equipment? I have a zp80 and zp100 (and cr100, but I doubt anyone wants that) and I'm hoping to trade for some other used equipment.

I would like to use my Sonos as a speaker and just send whatever I'm listening to directly to one of my Sonos devices. Shouldn't that be possible when we are on the same wifi? As an example I like to listen to audiobooks from Storytel, and would like to "forward" that to sonos. Any ideas on how to accomplish that? Thanks
Do sonos support any other radio then tune in? Seems a shame to have such good speakers and only support low res radio.
Mike English: Goodevening, i have recently purchased two play 5's and one sonos Sub, the play 5's are positioned vertically on a dresser, but the sub is placed om the floor. This is a nasty place for the sub because of possible damage due to vacuuming etc. I would like to mount the sub onto the wall. I am familiar with two brands that make and sell brackets for the sonos Sub, Flexson and Vebos.
Will it mess up the connections that took a while to set up?
I don't believe this is yet possible, but wanted to confirm. Is there a way to control my Sonos Connect with my Echo? It would be nice to be able to play different play lists or artists via Sonos Connect. I know you can do this with the speakers but was looking for Echo-Connect integration too.
Located in Italy, I'm a recent owner of a Play:1 - mostly devoted and die hard fan of Bang & Olufsen brand for my main setup. I'm a long standing IT consultant, working for a leading consultancy brand since too many (two figures) years. :) I'm getting a great experience and quality, paired with outstanding support, looking forward to enjoy the commmunity. Feeling already home. 🆒
From my phone, iPad, or desktop, I can reach Pandora and play music. From Sonos, I can reach Tune In Radio and play stations. However, from Sonos I cannot reach Pandora at all. I get a message: "Unable to browse music - there was a problem connecting to Pandora" I'm using two Play 1 speakers via wi-fi; both are HW version 1.8.3.7-1 and Version 7.0 build 34735162c. The controller version on my iPad and iPhone is 7.0.1. The desktop is 7.0. I've reset the controller from the desktop and stopped the app on both the iPad and iPhone. I've cycled power on one of the Play 1's, though not the other. So, what's my next step?
Does anyone know how to connect a Brennan B2 equipped with NAS to a Sonos Play3 directly over Wi-Fi on my network?
I would like to hang my playbar under my TV on a covered screened porch. Any concerns about moisture, humidity, hot and cold for long term use of a playbar outside, but protected from wind/rain?
Hi I purchased a play 5 as a present to myself over the Christmas which I'm loving. So much so I have it in my head to buy a second to set up a stereo pair. But I'm weary as the only place I can leave them is at a height over the presses in the kitchen. My existing one is in the same place but on the other side of the same wall (see pic) but in the horizontal position and I also have it tilted down. My main worry is that the natural position of the play 5 is pointing up when vertical as is the horizontal but I feel I won't get as much of a tilt out of them when they are in the vertical position i.e they will be still pointing up. Do I have to put them in the vertical position or can I leave them horizontal as a stereo pair? And if I do put them vertical do u think I'm wasting my money putting them in that position? I know the easy solution is to find somewhere lower but there really is no where else I can leave them. All advise appreciated
