Hello, I own a SONOS PLAY:3 and my Android Sony Bravia TV and wonder if it's possible for me to connect both using my home wi-fi network. I'm thinking about installing some more loudspeakers to my TV and would like to know if I can start with my PLAY:3. I know my TV has a WiFi Direct functionality and wonder if I can use that for that purpose. Thanks for your help :) Regards, Stephan
Hi I have just set up my new Sonos Playbase using the optical cable connected to my Sony Bravia TV. And the audio from my Sky HD box is significantly lower than when I listen from the TV channels and when streaming music. Is there a way to solve this.
Hi I have replaced my playbar with a playbase also have a sub and two play 1's worked perfectly with the playbar but surrounds won't work with the playbase have turned up the surround but still doesn't work diagnostics no.7647121 Please help ?
Hey everyone, so I currently have 3 Play 1s and I would like to connect them to a record player that I have yet to purchase since I have no idea how to go about choosing one, I'm not techy in the least so even after I read a few discussions I still don't know how to go about it. The space I have my sound system is not too large so a Play 5 would overwhelm it and I really don't want to purchase a CONNECT either. All I want is to play my records on my Sonos is there any way to do that while avoiding the purchase of a Play 5 and CONNECT? Thanks! Your help is appreciated!!
My sonos play1 is broken. What is the best way for returning for repair?
Hi. I am definitely not tech savvy but hoping someone can help. I bought a Logitech Bluetooth receiver to be able play music directly through Bluetooth and not via the sonos app. I connect to the connect amp and while I could play via line in, I couldn't play directly off a music app. Can someone help? Thanks!
My Play 5 has completely stopped working. I've tried a different power lead and outlet and no luck. It's first gen but I've not had it that long, since April 2016. How do I go about getting it replaced (hopefully) or fixed? Thanks.
Which size speaker for small rooms
Very new to Sonos (like one week in). I have a CONNECT to serve my existing family room/deck receiver and four Play:3's around the house. I am very impressed with the Play:3 sound. I just added my first Play:1 to my master bathroom and I'm blown away with the sound quality. Nice job Sonos. I'm now tempted to put a Play:1 in all bedrooms (have a Play:3 in the master already). Definitely putting one in the garage at some point.
When will it be possible to use Play 1 Wireless with battery and bluetooth connection ?
Will a new Sony TV analog audio output work with my play 5 ?
Just bought from b&h a new sonos sub to add to my play 1s. When delivered I noticed the sonos box to be damaged on one corner. Once unpackaged I noticed the sub also was damaged on one corner. A breif test seems like the sub is okay, but not sure if a year of booming bass may cause problems. My question is should I just ask for a new unit, or does this seem completely cosmetic and perhaps I could negotiate a discount and also circumvent the wait and exchange process.
I have five SONOS devices: 2 Play:5 , 2 Connect, 1 Amp All are currently wired. I am moving in a while and the new place does not have cabling to the new speaker locations. I want to change the wired devices to wireless on the same router. Is it as simple as removing the Ethernet cables from four devices and turning on the wireless (enter the connection information) and then removing the one Ethernet connection, and reboot the other SONOS devices and then all the devices will be wireless? Can two be wired and the rest be wireless? I look forward to your support Andy 😃
I've read several articles which have that stated that Sonos is a closed proprietary ecosystem. That's not entirely accurate. In my family room, I have two 8" KRK Rokit monitors connected to a Sonos Connect (They Rok!) In my living room I have two 5" KRK Rokit's connected to another Sonos Connect, and my TV. So using a Connect or Connect Amplifier allows you to connect to most speakers. That doesn't seem proprietary to me! I also have a Play 1 in my sun room, and a Play 1 in my bedroom, for occasional listening. They sound awesome for the price point.
Is it possible to connect a Samsung TV to a play 1 or play 3
Hi I currently have the sonos playbar, moving house and renovating it. I am looking at putting speakers in the bathroom ceiling and kitchen ceiling, linking them to the sonos system. Could someone please advise on the best options available?
I want to use the Play1's as the audio for the tv, do I need to purchase the connect unit or is there another way?
Hi! We are so stoked to find the Sonos under the Christmas tree! After we've done the set up, can we move a speaker from room to room? We have a Play 3 which will stay where it is, but we're wondering if we can move the Play 1's at will.
Hi I just got a second play 5 today and was going to pair them for my living room. I noticed there is a slight difference in size. I couldn't find anything on the internet, when did it reduce in size and which is the most recent? Thanks, Gary
I have just purchased a Play:5 for my new apartment. In addition to listening to music, I would also like to connect it to the TV in our living room. What is the best method for doing this? Also, once connected to TV, will it be easy to toggle between TV Audio and normal music streaming? My roommate has also purchased a Play:3 for the apartment. Will both devices play the TV audio once the Play:5 is connected? Thanks for any and all guidance!
Just added a Connect:Amp to my existing Sonos system - 2 Play1's; Play bar; Sub. System is used to provide sound for my TV and to play music from the internet. I added the Connect Amp to play sound from two in-wall wired speakers installed in my new house. They are at the back of my family room. So, I added the Connect Amp using the app and then grouped it to my existing system...NO SOUND Ideas?
I've been looking for (and failing to find) specs on the Play 1 power requirements, specifically in terms of wattage in a UK 240v environment. Not the amp watts, the watts in power draw terms. Does anyone have this tech info handy?
I have a projector (Sony VPLHW45ES) and projector screen, but I also have a television. The projector screen comes down in front of the TV when I want a bigger experience (yes, I'm spoiled and I hate myself). Anyway, it would be nice to shove the Playbase under the TV for when I'm using the TV, which is what I do primarily. Does the Playbase work with projectors? Any reason that pairing wouldn't work? Do I have to use a Playbar with the projector? I saw a post in another thread about how Netflix only supports DD+, which is too much for optical to handle. Not really sure what that means for me.
It appears to be true! Check this out - https://www.engadget.com/2017/08/28/sonos-alexa-speaker/
