Hello, I have a couple of play 1 and a single play 5. My problem is that where the play 5 is located wifi coverage is really low and unstable so I have used an ethernet cable to link it to the lan. The play 1 are both located in two rooms very near to the router and the wifi coverage is very strong and steady, and anyways I have no chance here to connect them with an ethernet cable. I don't know if this is a normal behaviour but as soon as I connect the play 5 with cable it immediately switch in boost mode becoming itself hotspot for the other two play 1 but due to problem shown upper it is to far and often play one units lose the connection. Is there a way to configure play 5 on ethernet and play 1 on wifi provided by router? thanks in advance for you kind support. regards
Recently the playlists I created in Spotify wont play through my Sonos system. The lists work fine on my PC's and sevices when using the Spotify app. While the playlist title appears in the playlist on the Sonos interface (desktop, Ipod and android) the songs themselves are greyed out.
Is it possible to connect my Sonos 5 to my LG 4K tv and if so what is the easiest option. Thanks
Why can't you make a stereo pair with a sonos one and a sonos play one. Very annoying
New listing on FCC today for Sonos product 'S15' Label is totally square so could be a new connect type device ? Let the speculation begin !
EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!! I have done everything possible, nothing works. My two sonos one speaker work fine on my wifi ONLY WHEN hardwired to router. When unplugged from router they cannot find wifi. Eventually I deleted Sonos app from phone and reinstalled it and then finally the app said is was connected to home wifi, but speakers won't work unless hardwired to router still. And, my App will not find my Connect either, whether hardwired or not. Any ideas? Thank you.
Sound quality on my Play 1 has dropped really badly. It sounds just like my old stereo used to sound when one speaker stopped working! I've tried turning it on and off, switching from radio to music on my iPhone. It's really disappointing. Does anyone have any ideas how I can resolve this? The app has got no updates. Thanks
How do you play different music in another room
hoping to get some advice on a little dilemma I now have. Got a Play 5 in the kitchen that used to sit on top of the fridge freezer and fill the room with sound. We’ve just had a new kitchen fitted with all new appliances and the gap between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling is a mere 90mm! I’ve put the play 5 in the corner on the kitchen worktop but the sounds no where near as good as filling the room, I’ve retuned using Trueplay. My initial thoughts were to get another Amp and a couple of decent speakers to go on top of the cabinets, but with only the 90mm to play with, I’m really struggling!
Tried everything!
I have a Sonos connect hooked up to my garage stereo and I am considering a Play 1 speaker in the kitchen for my wife. My question is will we be able to listen to 2 different songs at the same time? In other words, would the two systems operate independently?
The discount code I just heard this week on Pod Save America is not working. This is very disappointing because at first it said my delivery option was not available but when I changed the delivery method it just said this code was simply not available. This code is the reason I chose to buy this speaker and now it seems like I've just been duped.
I am currently considering making a major investment in SONOS equipment. I work for the State Department and move around the world. DOes the SONOS equipment use 110 or 220 power or is it dual voltage? DUal voltage would be best. Please let
Does the Sonos One and Sonos work on 220v without any adapter to convert voltage from 220v to 110v I purchased Sonos from US and travel in Europe where the voltage is 220v. Do I nees to buy a voltage converter from 220 to 110volts? What will happen if I plug it in 220 volts voltage without any converter?
I have connected a USB hard drive (Seagate 2TB) to our router (TP -Link) with all our music on it. I believe this is called a NAS drive? How do I find the file path to instruct Sonos so it can access it?
In my office-room I have 2 play: 1 loudspeakers and 1 play: 5 available. Which configuration do you recommend and are possible?
I only recently figured out that if you have music playing in Room 1 and go into Room 2 you can group the two rooms (and start playback in Room 2 also) by pressing and holding the Play/Pause button on the speaker(s) in Room 2. Great feature, but what would be more useful is the ability to MOVE (not extend) playback to Room 2. So maybe press/hold Play/Pause AND Minus to move playback, vs Play/Pause and Plus to extend. I know you can do it via the app, but that means getting my phone out, etc. Just a suggestion for a future enhancement. (This is all on Play 1/3/5 - not the new Sonos one as I don't have one of them.)
I have a play 5 already and wondered, if i purchased two Sonos Ones, could i use that set up for surround sound? I am new to all this pairing and grouping and dont know how the surround sound set up works. Also, how easy is it to move the sonos ones around i.e. sometimes they'd be used as surround sound and sometimes theyd be grouped or set up in different rooms each playing individual music. I'm after flexibility really without having to pay a fortune! Thanks for any help.
No light (No light) on play 1 after drop of a couple of feet to carpeted floor..
After a recent software updates (why are there so many?), playback through my speakers keeps randomly stopping. I've been using my system for years with little issue. Nothing else (ISP, position/location of router, etc) has changed. I'm running the 8.2.2 Controller from a MacBook Pro (OS 10.10.5 Yosemite), but it also happens when running the Controller (recently updated to 8.2.2 as well) from my Android phone (v 6.0). My guess is the same will happen if I use the Controller from my wife PC.
I would like to setup two Sonos speakers in my office in a stereo configuration. In addition to listening to music wirelessly, I'd also like to connect the line out from my PC to *both* of the Sonos speakers and play stereo sound from my PC. Is this possible? What would I need?
Hi, I am not clear about BOOST mode. I have two SONOS One and one SONOS CONNECT. The SONOS CONNECT is connected with the Ethernet cable. The two SONOS One are wirelessly connected only. If I turn off the Wireless of my AP, the two SONOS One's continue to work, even if I haven't enabled BOOST mode. Why? I would like to have clearer control of the Wireless network, also because I would like to sleep at night without Wireless. I know people do not care about this, but I prefer to sleep with a limited amount of electromagnetic radiation. Even if you connect SONOS One with the Ethernet cable, it emits radio arrows.. How to control them? Thank you for a clarification. regards Stefano
Can you create a stereo pair with a sonos 1 and the new pay one?
Can someone with both black and white Play:1s tell me if the grill colours are the same on each variant or does the white one have a lighter grill as well? Thanks
Have a gen 1 play 5 and am looking at a pair of gen 2 5's to run in stereo in onother room. Question, can you run a sub with a stereo pair?
