As long as your LG TV has an analog stereo output (the red/white RCA jacks), then yes you can hook it up to your Play:5 speaker's Line In jack. Do note that there will be a delay of at least 70ms, so you may run into lip sync issues between the TV and the speaker. See if there's a setting somewhere in the advanced/expert settings on your TV to adjust for that, if possible.
