I have a popping sound sometimes on low level coming from the bass? . Can someone please help.

Hello ! After some research, I'm a little confused. I own a LG TV (32LB5600) which has no Audio jack output and a Play5. But which has the following outputs : - Component IN / AV IN (L/Mono and Audio R) or - Optical Digital Audio Out I tried to us a RCA Y-cable and to plug it to the Component IN / AV IN (L/Mono and Audio R) and it didn't worked at all :/ Is anybody have a solution ? Should I use my "Optical Digital Audio Out" in order to connect my TV to my Play5 ? Thank you 🙂

I recently set up Trueplay on a couple of Play:1s that I own. When testing out the post-Trueplay calibration sound I discovered bass distortion once I dialed up the speaker to about half-way on the volume bar (my EQ had bass and treble right in the middle and Loudness was turned off). At first I thought it was an issue with my speaker, but turning off Trueplay removed the distortion issue. The best way to describe the distortion is that it is a deep popping bass sound like occurs intermittently (maybe once every couple of seconds, but that depends on how bass heavy the song is). Anyone else having this issue with a Trueplay-tuned Play:1?

I have set up several Sonos alarms to play automatically music at certain times of the day. I have been using this for a while now and it works great until recently. Certain alarms instead of playing the music selection specified in the settings will play the Sonos alarm. This happen on alarms where the duration is set to "no limit" and snooze alerts is selected. I am not sure why but it's annoying as heck!

I have a setup with Playbase, Sub and surround speakers. Playbase works fine but Sub and surround lose the sound often and randomly. Same problem with direct input from TV and wi-fi streaming, however problem occur More frequent on wi-fi. I have tried "everything" and is about to give up. Can someone help?

Morning all, like a lot of us I'm going through that exercise of upgrading all our lights from the oddball collection to 100% LED and it caused me to wander what my various Sonos boxes consume on standby and in operation. Does anyone have stats that show (to a layman) what my various CA's, Play 5's, Sub Woofers etc consume .... whilst passive and when hammering it out? Very interested to have an idea about that......maybe Sonos has the data in a table on site somewhere? Many thanks in advance

As Sonos was promoting buying stereo pair of Sonos Ones to compete with Apple Homepod (which seems to be failing so far - at least until apple fixes Airplay2) .....first article I saw where they actually compared the stereo Sonos Ones with a Homepod (and actually confirmed they did to Trueplay tuning on the Sonos). https://www.cnet.com/news/apple-homepod-vs-sonos-one-sound-quality-face-off/ Really there only negative to the Sonos One appears to be not as strong in the low end.

Hi there, I recently ordered a new Sonos One and an Echo Dot from Amazon, with the intention of testing out both Sonos and Alexa and deciding whether or not to incorporate these services into a home theater upgrade. I want to listen to my audible audiobooks via this speaker. read from google and from a topic here a month ago that this is not possible. Any updates? I listen to a lot of audiobooks, and had intended to do two of these Ones in kitchen and bedroom and a 5.1 combination for the media and gaming - so I could listen to music and books in all three rooms. Any update on Audible? I have an echo dot, tablets of all manner, iOS devices and a MacBook as well as an original Bell telephone and a guide to generating smoke signals. Can I get audible to play through Sonos One or any Sonos system?

I am talking my Father into adding Sonos to his home, a connect to his hifi and a couple of Play5s. I have my own 4 zone system and wanted to lend him a Play5 to try for a few weeks. How can I remove the 5 from my list of components while he has it on loan?

Like a lot of people I would like to use two Play 5's to my TV for real stereo separation. But I don't want to use the RCA port for many reasons. It seems like I should be able to use a Sonos Connect to the TV and the Play 5's to the Connect? How about the Play 5's and the sub? Or even those three and two rears for 5.1?

I wanted to offer my opinion on these two speakers. I've spend the better half of three day comparing one of my play 1's to my new second gen play 5. Rules were simple, flat EQ and both tuned in the same location. I put right next to each other and ran numerous tests. I tested with loudness on and off. Tuning on and off and have come to some conclusions that were pretty unexpected. I reran tuning multiple times to try and improve sound from both. - Play 1 clarity, voice accuracy and instrument separation sound much better under 50% - Play 1 bass is very impressive under 50%, without a noticeable improvement using the play 5, in fact its more pronounced than the play 5's bass under 50%. - Play 1 voices and instruments are far more pronounced at lower levels. I can hear the rasp of someone's voice and the strum of a guitar much better. - Play 5 sound is more 'soft' and set back. - Above 50%, the play 1 begins to sounds like a tiny speaker - Above 50%, the play 5 comes to

Just wondering, for a very small footprint system, how these would compare. The Vanatoo T1's get amazing reviews, and are self-powered like the Play:1's. A bit more at $500/pair plus the Connect, vs $400 for a pair of Play:1's. Perhaps a pair of Play:3's would be a more fair comparison? From what I've read, a pair of Play:1's will outperform a single Play:3 or Play:5 in clarity, and certainly in stereo separation, but somewhat lacking in bass. The Vanatoo's are supposed to be superbly well balanced, with excellent bass for their size. Not quite as clean an installation as a pair of Play:1's, though... Hmmmmmm.... What to do?

I have a Play1 on my counter in the master bath and now added and complimented with in ceiling speakers and grouped with a Connect Amp located in the closet. I want to group the volume control on the (easy to reach) Play1 instead of pulling out a smartphone.

I want to make two irrefutable statements of fact: 1) Sonos is the best wireless speaker system in the world with a very intuitive app that makes wireless audio amazingly simple. 2) Sonos management cares little about customer feedback and is leaving millions on the table. While that might sound kind of harsh, consider that the Sonos Community has viewed a thread over 46,000 times and I've seen online blogs begging for an outdoor speaker FOR YEARS! How many millions of dollars could Sonos have made by simply delivering on this request? I've personally looked for weatherproof enclosures for both the Connect Amp and Play speakers and nobody has an elegant solution. It's completely aggravating when I come to the Sonos website after over a year of owning my system and still there is no answer to the community by management letting us know: A) when a weatherproof speaker is coming, or 😎 why it will never come. Hi does anybody know if a US Sonos (one) works in Europe (only by using an adapter plug)?

I have recently got google home mini(nice product by the way). I wanted to know is there any way that I can connect my play 5 gen 2 with it. I know there is no audio output port in mini and some of the discussions suggest that chromecast audio would be required to achieve the same. Is there any other option to do so?

My PLAY 1 has been working semi-fine up until now. It needed a reset once in a while, but that got it going again. Now it's lost the connection and refuses to reconnect. I've tried factory resetting it and configuring it again. In the setup process it seems to discover the speaker just fine. I type in the wifi password and then I'm asked to press 'play' and 'volume up' at the same time and wait for the sound. The sound plays, but then the LED turns solid red and nothing further happens. Any advice?

The white indicator light won't turn off on the play 1 in the master bedroom. I have tried different controllers and they are all set to off. Please help.

I have a Boost network (all components WP:0). A Bridge is hardwired, and there are 4 ZP80s. One ZP80, named "Roving", is outside, in an outbuilding. Sometimes, it gets poor signal and plays music in a choppy or pulsing way. Here is my network matrix. Is there anything I can do to get better signal to the Roving ZP80. If I buy another bridge and put it in an intermediate location, is this likely to make things better?

Hi There Cisco network, goes to a mini switch in room. As soon as I plug in a Sonos Bridge or Play 3 speaker the mini switch crashes and nothing thats on it can see the network. I have swapped the mini switch. I can not swap the main Cisco unit. I have to reboot the mini switch and remove the sonos device to restore normality. Please advise

As above: I am planning to use a Sonos One as a google assistant. If I buy a sonos one now, will it work with Google when the Assistant support is rolled out? Or is it better to wait and buy a unit when support is already in place?

Completely installed sound bar and 2 play 1 speakers (right and left) but the play 1 sound fades in and out during movie and music. Sounds like a fading radio station. Is there a download or any quick fix?
