Hello, I have a Sonos Beam (Gen 2) connected to the HDMI ARC (not eARC) on my Samsung Q60R, and honestly, I'm completely stuck with the setup. So far, I can only get the sound to output in PCM 2.0 stereo or DD/DD+ stereo. I've already checked the TV settings, and there's no "Passthrough" option to let the soundbar handle the decoding. I have the option to connect it via Optical, but I'm not sure if that would help me achieve my goal of at least using the 5.1 channels (for now, without a subwoofer). Any ideas that could help me? Thanks!
Our fire station just got an LG 75UT8000. We have been doing surround sound through a Samsung tv prior. As of right now I can get surround through the LG when playing through the built in apps. But I only get PCM when playing through the HDMI output which plays from an Apple TV 4K. There were no issues through Apple TV on Samsung TV. I haven't changed settings on Apple TV. I've tried auto & pass through options on LG TV and still get PCM through the Apple TV. Currently connected optical output audio through a Sonos Playbar. Thanks for any insight
Hi,Would placing the era 300 upside down around 50cm from ceiling affect sound quality that much?Perceptually how would it differ from placing them at ear level? Thanks
When will the Arc Ultra available in India ?
Community consensus: Impossible or difficulty to connect bluetooth headphones to SonosGoogle AI: Yes you can - if you have a ‘bluetooth transmitter’ - but Sonos devices are receivers onlySonos App: ‘Add headphone’ → steps a b and cMe: Sonos App procedure doesn’t work. But isn’t my phone or computer a ‘bluetooth transmitter’?So what is going on ? Can I or can’t I use bluetooth headphones?
I have been having an issue for months where during every third song while streaming Apple Music, Dolby Atmos clicks off and the song reverts to just stereo. I either have to pause the song and restart or back the song up to the beginning to re-enable Atmos. I can’t believe the engineers aren’t aware of this issue. It is extremely aggravating. It’s always something with this app. I have Arc Ultra, Era 300’s, and Sub gen 3.
Hope someone can advise me pleasecan I connect two walled speakers with cable and also use a wireless speaker with a Sonos ampTIA
I use the external library feature to stream Atmos tracks to my Era 300 this works fine with eac3 (DD+) in an mp4 container. What I would really like to do as well is the stream TruHD ripped from my Blue-ray audio disks. This only works in an mkv container which Sonos does not support. Any chance of putting this a future feature
Why doesn't Sonos play music locally when the Internet (WAN connection) is down? Yesterday our Internet connection was down all day. We were surprised to find Sonos was totally useless despite our local LAN and WiFi working fine. To be clear: we play content almost exclusively from local libraries and those devices were working normally the whole time. I’d appreciate someone from Sonos answering here. Support just told me via chat that this is expected. I really hope that’s incorrect - it’s pretty unreasonable to require Internet at all times even when playing local content. Also, since our Internet connection came back I've had to restart all of the Sonos players - some multiple times - to get them work right again. Just more continued instability since the app update.
Recently, I wanted to change out the three Sonance amps for my whole home audio system, which i run with two sonos ports. I would have to purchase 4 sonos amps to make this happen. I started with one to check it out, and unfortunately there is not fixed volume limit.I understand I can adjust it in the app, but since there are other people in the home, it is much easier to use the volume control in each room. We have both fixed and app drivien speakers here so you can see the issue.I am hoping you add this feature to the amps so down the road I can switch to all Sonos Amps. For now, Ill have to repurchase Sonance amps until this feature is added.Does anyone know if this will be added to the software?
Hi allThis is similar to a lot of posts on here but with an added extra in the form of Optical - HDMI converter. We just bought a Samsung S95D TV and all was well. Once I discovered the Universal Remote settings on the TV and just clicked Yes to the Power Off question I even had the One SolarCell remote working the volume on my beloved Sonos Playbar that was connected to the One Connect box via Optical cable.BUT we noticed terrible lip sync issues when watching on our Sky Q box but the delay was the wrong way around for any of the delay settings to work. All delay settings just made it worse. Googling seems to show this is a known issue.SO we bought an Optical/HDMI converter, plugged the optical from the Playbar into it and then it into HDMI 3 eARC and the lipsync is much better but I can no longer find a way to make the ONE SolarCell remote to work the volume.I've tried all sorts of configurations in the Universal Remote settings but I am unsure whether to choose Optical or HDMI 3? Hello Sonos Team,I recently found out that Denon has integrated Siri into their smart speakers if you already have a HomePod or HomePod mini at home. You can see the details here: Denon SupportI think this is a great feature and would love to see the same integration on Sonos speakers. It would be incredibly useful for those of us who are invested in the Apple ecosystem. Please consider adding this to your roadmap. Thanks!
I’ve read dozens of threads about the “no signal” problem when the Arc is connected via eArc but still have an issue that appeared recently. No config change, but I did receive a new TV box from my provider. Since, then, when turning on the TV, I get a “no signal” message on the LG TV.Apple TV works fine constantly. Switching the input back to TV gives “no signal” again.I performed the TV setup after unplugging everything and letting the TV etc unplugged for about 10 mins.I performed a factory reset on the Apple TV, Arc, LG TV, and received a new TV box from my provider as they thought it was the culprit. If I plug the TV box directly in the TV HDMI port (not via eArc), it all works fine. But via eARC, the Apple TV will always work and the TV box will pretty much always show “no signal”, black screen and of course no sound. If I un/replug the HDMI of the TV box, sometimes, the Arc LED turns green, sound starts playing and the image appears again. Sometimes the sound will start playing but

Do I need to connect my play one only to wifi can I do it though my phone only
Hi there I have a beam Gen 2 and wondered what would be a better next purchase, an era 300 or sub mini? My living room isn’t huge but wondered if the era 300 would connect with my beam if I went for that? Open to some suggestions thanks
Reviews are not possible for obvious reasons. I have owned for awhile and upgraded once my Sonos system. The app is crap. They have since reduced functionality/sound controls, I constantly have issues with the app. Crashing It requires constant reboots, too many updates for less service, now recently and final straw it is requiring an update that is dead end. No fix offered and I am not here to waste more time with sonos tech support Error message says retry later with no options to fix and zero functionality. I now know I paid wayyyyy too much for this garbage company's junk product. Replacement systems they offer cost stupid money for crap app and only fair to good speakers. Buy it if you want speakers that forever increase in costs and headaches. I want my money back and damages. It's like buying shoes and the soles soon fall off in a sharp rock pavement.
My dad has a room in the house where he used to listen to music and decompress. His speaker system is outdated so I would like to set him up with a Sonos system. What would you recommend for just listening to music only? None of these products would be connected to a TV.
Hello, Sonos professionals,I’m getting a new house in a few days, and I’m finishing the basement with a SONOS system in mind--while I have the exposed walls, I’m trying to get the electrical setup. The living room upstairs will have an Arc Ultra and sub (where we watch tv--eventually I will add the erras for surround), and I want the basement to be able to sync to it for when we have parties. My question is how to do the basement. It’s about 700 square foot, and most of it is in one square, open area. I will have a poker table, a pool table, and a bar in this area. I’m designing the system for MUSIC primarily, as there won’t be a dedicated entertainment area any time soon, despite the presence of a wall mounted TV. I want something that can bang when it wants to for parties, but otherwise, provides clean universal music that can be talked over, specifically for poker games (so no speakers directly in anyone’s faces.)I’m currently thinking that two in-ceiling speakers over the poker tabl

Hi!I have a CD-player Marantz cd6007 and a Sonos Amp; a couple of Bowers&Wilkins speakers and two One. My question is which line in level do you recommend on the amp?
Hi. I have a pair of Era 300s in a room about 6m by 4m. I use for music only, currently. They fill the room adequately. The sound is nice - warm, fairly detailed, plenty of bass. I don’t need more bass but considering a sub mini to allow the Eras to concentrate on the trebles. I have heard mixed reviews of adding a SM. Would be keen to hear views on whether it makes much difference to the delivery of the mid and high end through the Eras. Thanks.
With $1,000 US to spend will I be better off replacing my ArcSL with and Arc Ultra or enhancing my Arc SL with a pair of ERA 300s?
Pourquoi mon sonos roam ne se charge plus ? Moderator Edit - Translation by Google:Why is my sonos roam no longer charging?
I’m thinking of using a Rocketfish Bluetooth 5.0 transmitter to transmit audio from an older iPad to a pair of Sonos Era 100 speakers. The reason I’m doing this is that the iPad is using Bluetooth 4.x and Bluetooth 5.0 provides notably better sound. I could use AirPlay, but I have been having occasional issues with AirPlay even though the speakers are less than six feet from the router. (And don’t even get me started on my futile attempts to get these speakers from the 5 GHz to the 2.4 GHz band as some have recommended.) Advice on whether this setup is possible, or alternatives that would get me the most stable connection with the maximum quality sound, are welcome.
