Hi, My friend & I both have a Sonos speaker. We want to listen to the same Spotify playlist (which we both have access to) at the same time, in different households out of our individual Sonos speakers. Is this possible?
What happened to the "my data" section on the account page of the website? I always thought it was really interesting to see my usage over time, I'm sad it's gone. :( Anyone know why?
I'm considering getting a 5.1 system for my upstairs TV. I have one down stairs and I really like it. But I have a great room. The couch is basically in the middle of the room no where near any power. The 5.1 kits come with play 1s. What have people done about this? A couple of options come to mind. Obviously I could see about adding a floor outlet, but that seems like overkill for this room. It's not the primary room. I could just run an extension cord, but that's a trip hazard or use an ugly cord cover like at the office. It works, but I think it's an eye sore for my setup. The third option is that I have outlets at the sides of the room. The speakers would still be "behind" the couch, but they would be about 6ft away each. So more like to the side of the couch. The couch cannot be centered in the room. This seems the easiest, but the most lopsided approach that probably doesn't have the best sound. I also have speaker mounts on the side of where my tv is. So the play 1s would
I have a 9 month old LG 4K Smart TV and a Sonos Beam (as well as a Cable TV Box). Everything was working great for the past 6 months (Sonos using HDMI ARC). Yesterday, we lost power for less than a minute and now the Sonos cannot maintain a connection to the TV. Specifically, when watching TV, the sound will come through the TV speakers, then switch to the Beam for a second or two, and then back to the TV. I checked all the TV settings and SIMPLINK is ON and whenever I try to set the Audio Out to HDMI ARC, it only stays set for a second or two and then automatically switches back to “Internal TV Speakers”. Tried rebooting Sonos several times as well as turning the TV ON/OFF.
Hi I’d like to play cassette tapes via a separates system deck through my Sonos system...do i need to use my Amp or can i simply plug into a Connect? or do i need the new Sonos Amp?…. Ideally i’d like to lose my old hifi amp.and speakers ..so all i would have is a cassette deck...and maybe a turntable..which i can then play through my sonos speakers Cheers Peter
Hi guys, I am about to buy a Playbar and a LG OLED55B9PLA 55-Inch UK. I wonder if they are compatible. Many thanks Pablo
Saw many topics on Headspace but not sure if it currently works, and if it does, how to get it running
Has anyone found a solution to playing audio from a MacBook Pro to the Playbar? I have not found much for 3.5mm to Optical Audio adapters or anything for usb-c. My particular MacBook is the 2019 16”.
Hey Does anyone have any experience with leaving their Move permanently outside, and charged? I’d like to mount it to the back of my house. The space isn’t huge so that’s why the Move is perfect compared to the Outdoor Speakers
Has anyone had experience with a Sonos Sub in an outdoor patio environment? This is covered and not exposed to rain, but the relative humidity (Houston, TX) can be pretty high.
Hi. I recently installed a Beam. It works (worked) fine. Last night my daughter got the Beam and my Bridge to group and I had sound from my speakers and the Beam. I turned it on tonight and initially had no sound from the Bridge/speakers. I grouped and got sound from them and lost Beam sound. Catastrophe ensued. I pressed lots of buttons here and there, reinstalled the Sonos app, unplugged and replugged in stuff. Question is... Should I expect to be able to group the Beam and the old Bridge or was it a fluke that my daughter did it? Many thanks for any insight.
Hello...How can I tell what generation my bridge is? and should I switch to a boost? Thanks
I am currently in contact with various Hifi-installers, as I am trying to decide on the right contractor and setup for a new house we are building. One firm I spoke with this week sounded fairly knowledgeable and we had a good chat on Sonos and implementation of AMPs and build-in speakers. When we talked about the well-known Sonos-limitations in terms of codes, he firmly stated and repeated that Sonos had recently committed to Dolby Atmos and other codecs. I was surprised as I thought I had been paying attention to any such statements and had not read anything but rumors Has Sonos made any such official statement?
Hi Guys, Great Sonos has a forum like this! I have already set my mind to some Sonos purchase, but need some help making the right picks; I'm considering getting 4 Sonos Ones (2 for in the living room to be positioned left and right of the couch that faces the TV; 1 for in the kitchen; and 1 for in the bathroom) and am considering also getting the Sub for in the living room (predominantly for when listening to music, but also for watching the occasional movie). What I'm wondering is if having a living room setup with just 2 Sonos Ones and 1 Sub, without the Beam, makes sense? Or should one never do this as perhaps a better experience can be achieved at a more favorable price by getting the Beam instead of the Sub? Reason I'm not fancying the Beam so much is that there's no place to nicely position it below my TV and that my priority lies with bass for music over bass for movies. What would you recommend to get? Also, how much of an experience improvement would the Beam add to a setup t
Hey Sonos fam, quick question about outdoor audio setup on my roof patio. I have two outdoor bose speakers connected to my Sonos:connect. One of the speakers crapped out on me and i was planning to replace it. The sound in general (from the working Bose speaker) has been underwhelming and sounds tinny and lacking any bass. I brought my Sonos move to the roof and got a taste of what good sound can be with the right amount of bass. I’be also been exploring the Sonos outdoor speakers from sonance but i can’t find a review that talks about quality of sound and bass level. If the bass is good I’d rather move in that direction and not have to get a subwoofer for the roof (which would require more complicated wiring to hide it). So I’m down to these options and would love your opinion as to choose which one makes the most sense: swap out both Bose speakers for the Sonos outdoor speakers by sonance and connect to the connect:amp (no sub).,,(this is preferred but want to make sure the sound
Looking for guidence on how to connect my Audio Technica Bluetooth® turntable (AT-LP60XBT) to my BEAM soundbar. Would appreciate any advice you’d like to share.
I can’t seem to get the Sonos Playbar to detect the Apple TV 5th Generation remote in order to control the sound… What can I do to get this to work…?? (Note: The exact same Playbar and Apple TV previoously worked fine together and the remote could control the sound. I now get a new TV and can’t get it it work. I have tried factory resets on both the Sonos Playbar and Apple TV… And everytime when trying to pair the remote with the Playbar via the Sonos App on my iPhone i get the error that nothing is dected…. One in every 5 times, it’ll tell it me notices the remote, the screen on the app will switch and say “now press the ‘+’ 3 times...” which Ill then try long, presses, short presses, everything… and no luck… What gives? (And yes, the Remote is fully charged.) If it helps, prior TV was Samsung Qled (perhaps a 2017 model), and new TV is TCL Series 6 (September 2019 model). Please help!!
Hi, I have an HDMI projector with a Sonos Beam and 2x Sonos Ones. The main way I want to use the projector is via mirroring my phone (Android) or computer (Mac), instead using services provided through Apple TV, Chromecast etc. So, what’s the best way to do this? I’m thinking of getting a Chromecast, and casting from my computer or phone to the chromecast/projector. But I don’t know if this set up will work with the Sonos speaker I have. Any ideas? Thanks
Ciao, I'm trying to connect the minidlna server on Debian 8 to my sonos playbar 11.0. From the TV I see media shared on server correctly, but from the playbar no. I saw that there are some posts about it in the community but very dated and they did not help me to clarify if this type of scenario is possible. in the “add services” section I saw that there is plex, but I would not like to switch from external services. Do I have to add the source manually? if yes, how? thanks to anyone who wants to talk about or share their experiences and/oropinions. Andrea.
On my Mac, two Sonos speakers are listed as output options with AirPlay. That is a Sonos One and a Play:5 (first generation). I know that Sonos One also supports AirPlay 2, but I couldn’t find any information about AirPlay (NOT AirPlay 2) compatibility. Which Sonos devices support AirPlay? I would have expected that Play:3 and Play:1 to also support AirPlay if Play:5 (Gen 1) does.
Hi, is it possible to use my PC with iTunes and start a song to be played to my Sonos One SL? In short to stream it from iTunes on PC to Sonos.
Bought Sonos move yesterday - extremely disappointed it does not support Bluetooh calling - please bring the feature I wouldnt have bought it if I knew this feature - as I need a speaker for music as well as my home office
Hi guys, This new issue crops up a few days back, whereby the sound output from Sonos stutters whenever I play something on Netflix Apple TV (4th edition). And this doesn’t happen when I play movies/news on Hulu or Reuters app. The problem occurs when I opt for HDMI output on Apple TV, but resolves when I chose airplay 2 instead. Can I know what is the solution to this?
Hi, my system (two original play 3s, two original play 5s, a connect amp, & a sub) are at present connected via a Sonos bridge. There is also a NAS drive that contains my music library connected via an Ethernet cable direct to my router. I’ve just switched ISP & their new router is now in a downstairs location where I am unwilling to plug in the NAS drive due to it being so noisey when it powers up! I basically need to re-set my system connected to the new WiFi network & was wondering if I could connect the NAS into the bridge rather than the router? I realise it’s old no longer supported technology but seems to be working ok so intend to keep using it. Any suggestions please?
Whenever I tell my Sonos speaker (a Beam with Google Assistant) to play and it had been previously playing from Spotify, it seems to start playing from a random artist’s playlist, rather than whatever was last playing on that speaker. Why is this happening…? Diagnostics: 1513315051
