I own a gen1 system composed of a playbar and a sub and a few play 1 speakers.
I would like to upgrade my playbar to a Beam Gen2
will it work with the rest of my setup?

Yes. See https://support.sonos.com/en-us/article/sonos-s2-compatibility?language=en_US
Remember to remove the Sub and surrounds from the Playbar before removing it. You can bond them to the Beam when the Beam is installed.
