Beam disappears from App after playing through Roku TV - has to be unplugged and plugged in again every time
I have a Sonos Beam that is connected to my Roku TV via Arc. I also have two Sonos SL speakers. Whenever I use the TV, which is setup to only play though the Beam, it works fine. When I then want to play music on all three speakers, the Beam disappears from the system in the app (the TV is powered down when I do this). If I unplug and plug in the Beam, it shows up without doing anything to reconnect it in the App System settings. This is super annoying to have to unplug and plug-in the Beam whenever I want to use it for music through the App with the other two speakers.
Sorry for what might be a basic question. I have the ZP100 and ZP80 in my house to do whole house music system for wired speakers through my house. They work great and do not want to update them. I am t thinking about the Arc and stone One speakers for a home theater setup. I have to use the “legacy /old” app for my current system. I assume I can add the Arc. But do I add it using my old app (add equipment) or do I add it using the new app and set it up as a new system?
I have a Sony tv KE48A9 which is connected to my Sonos Arc via the (only) eArc connection on the tv.How should I connect my Apple TV 4K to be able to have Dolby Atmos via the Sonos Arc.Begore I purchase the new Apple TV 4K’ just want to be sure that it could work.many feedback or tips are welcome !
My Sonos Beam recently dropped out of my app. I reset the device and went through the process of adding it back to the app.I got to the point where I got the message “Your Beam has been added, but may not appear in the System tab. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish set-up from the system tab”Indeed the Beam did not appear, and also did not appear if I switched the power off and on. Any clues on how to resolve this?
HiSince i bought my LG OLED c1, impossible for me to get sonos arc work properly when i open the TV ( i have to revert to internal speakers then select hdmi arc to have the sound go back)But the worse is that i couldn't have earc: when i toggle earc in the menu it reverts automatically to internal TV speakersI'm using a ultra Hugh speed hdmi câble certifiée between the two devices, sonos arc and LG c1 up to date, i've tried all the settings possible on the TV ( passtrough, auto, bitstream, simplink, hdmi deep color etc)Is it sonos related?
Hi, my partner’s just installed Sonos ARC and paired it with an OLED65C14LD. We would like to keep the autonomy of using the TV sound as and when. This, amongst other things will enable us to use headphones as far as we understand. However every time we go into the TV ‘sound out’ option and click ‘TV Speakers’ the option gets selected and lasts about 2 seconds, then the setting reverts automatically to HDMI (ARC) Device. The same happens when sellecting the ‘Wired Headphones’ option. We would like this to stop and be able to keep the TV Speakers on or Wired Headphones on for as long as we need them on. How do we achieve this? Many thanks for your support.
I currently have a Sonos Playbar set up on a living room TV. No surround speakers. The living room and kitchen are open and connected (one large rectangle) and I’d like to set up a Five at the far end of the area in the kitchen. The principal reason is for music: we’d like to be hit from both directions when sitting at our kitchen counter. But I’m wondering, can the Playbar and Five be grouped such that there will be no sound delay when watching TV? Thank you in advance!
Hi, I recently purchased the Sonos Beam Shadow Edition from Costco.I have a Samsung TV, which doesnt have an Arc port so I used the other attachment. Forgot the type.Anyways I’m able to sync my samsung TVs remote to the Sonos soundbar and control the volume. However when I turn the TV off and on again, the TV remote defaults back to controlling the TVs volume AND the sound bar. What do I do?
My Sonos beam constantly disappears from the app. I have to every time I open the app, unplug my sonos beam from the power, and plug it back in for it to show. I’ve called tech support once before and fixed my router settings to pick up B/G/N signals. That worked for about a week. Now, the Beam does not show up in the Sonos app unless I unplug the power and plug it back in.Is there another option for me to fix it? This is incredibly frustrating.
Beam Gen 2 volume issue: automatically drops to 15%. Even if i disconnect the hdmi cable which is hooked on a samsung 43Q67A TV with eARC, playing a stream from TuneIn. Volume limit is as default: 100% volume allowed. When i raise the volume i will see the slider automatically drop to 15% after a few seconds.Factory reset would not help. Is there a solution?
Hey all, joined the Sonos family today!Beam Gen 2 and 2 x Sonos one SL.The rear speakers are on my back wall which my sofa backs directly onto.I have placed them about a foot above seated head height. Is this optimal? Or would ear level be better? Also they are on a shelf, should they be angled down? thanks in advance
Hello! I have to connect a monitor which only has 1 HDMI port to both Chromecast Ultra with HDMI port and Sonos Beam with HDMI cable. I have tried with a HDMI splitter out of the screen but it does not work. Any suggestion?
I will be moving my Beam Gen 1 upstairs and replacing it with a Beam Gen 2. It is quite difficult to get behind my TV to adjust the wires. So I am wondering if I can use the same power cord and HDMI cable from my Beam Gen 1 with the Beam Gen 2? Do they both use the same power and HDMI cords?
Hello,I have a Sonos Arc connected to my 2021 LG G1 television via the eARC HDMI cable that was provided with the soundbar. My system includes two Sonos Ones for surround and the Sonos sub. Over the last couple weeks, any Dolby Atmos content drops out after about 20 minutes. In order to get the sound back, I need to either unplug the HDMI cable and reconnect it, or switch to a different HDMI input and back to the original input via the TV remote. This happens when using the Xbox Series X via HDMI, or when using the Apple TV with any streaming services broadcasting in Atmos. I have tried several online troubleshooting steps such as: a different HDMI cable, unplugging the system and disconnecting the HDMI for several minutes and rebooting, turning off TV autoplay, disabling HDMI-CEC, disabling the TV’s wireless adapter and probably other things I am forgetting. It still seems to be happening without fail about every 20 minutes or so. in the TV settings I have it set to eARC on and I’ve t
I’ve had the Arc with official Sonos wall mount for a bit over a year now, and this entire time I’ve had intermittent issues with crackling during sounds that have high bass. Doing some googling, I learned that the mount changes the EQ to reduce wall resonance. I’d like to try disabling this, but the magnets in the wall mount are getting in the way. Short of getting a mount without magnets (or hacking up the Sonos one), anyone know an existing way to disable it?If not, to Sonos engineering: can you please give us the option to force-disable this wall-mount EQ adjustment in software? Or even better, let us adjust the level of its impact with a slider.
Sounds great in general but occasionally with dialogue there is a buzzing sound--typically when a young woman is speaking at a specific pitch, or when someone is talking over the phone or a police radio in a movie. This was happening with The Guilty (Jake Gyllenhaal) on Netflix which was very annoying since he was a 911 operator always on the phone. When I switch from Dolby sound to PCM the buzzing goes away. Beam is about a month old and since this is just an intermittent problem I may be able to live with it but thought I would see if there were any easy fixes to check out. Connection is HDMI from Hisense H8G.
I have a new Arc paired with a Gen 2 Sub and two Play 3s for surrounds. All are running on S2 and the Arc is wired. I also have 8 legacy devices running on S1 and the root zone is wired. All S1 and S2 devices have reserved static IPs. The problem is that lately, when I open the S2 app, under “System” it indicates “3 Issues” and a red dot. When I click on that, I am given no more info, and when I click on “About My System” the Arc is missing, but the Sub and the two surrounds are shown. I do not see the Arc as a connected device in my router’s admin screens and I can’t connect to it using a browser to look at the network matrix. I CAN connect to the surrounds and it shows the Arc as having the correct IP address but the network matirx shows the Arc as being undefined. The Arc is playing TV sound so it is definitely powered up and working. The usual fix is to “Find Missing Products” or reboot etc. but that is getting old. This was happening before the recent DTS update (from today)

Hi, If anyone could help that would be amazing, I have a Sonos Beam and the below Samsung series 7 tv.I have put both the tv and the soundbar on the wall, yet the beam has never worked with the tv. If I want to play music from my phone it’s great but from the tv it’s never worked. TV - Samsung UE55TU7000KXXU I have read most of other peoples questions on here, so I have:tried turning everything off, tv, beam and router. With the beam not connected to the HDMI (ARC) for 30 seconds tried turning just the tv off by taking the plug out for 30 seconds checked that it’s plugged into the arc hdmi checked that anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is on tried changing and turning off and on most of the sound settings in the TVThe tv does one of two things if I chose HDMI Arc or optical as the sound output setting it will make a noise for a split second of what is currently on the tv then jumps back to receiver (HDMI) or it just lets me select optical and no sound comes out of the beam at all.Next the Sonos app,
I'm having massive issues with both my Sonos systems (Amp and One SL).After some minutes Spotify just pauses and drops the connection to the system. I can instantly reconnect, issue comes back after a few minutes. Happens from both Android and macOS app.I didn't change anything in my network, the WiFi is working perfectly. I monitored my wifi and there is not a single package drop from other devices. There are very few WiFis around me, so there isn't much interference. I have exactly this setup since months, issues now started out of nothing.Does anybody have an idea what the cause could be?
New Sonos User and purchased the Sonos ARC version exclusive with CostcoTV: QN55Q6DAAFXZAApple TV: A1842(32GB), tvOS 15.1.1Sonos App version: 13.3.3, Sonos OS S2Audio In: Silence 2.0(<----what is this?)I am using an existing HDMI cable from my Apple TV to my Samsung TV. Using the Sonos provided HDMI cable from my TV(ARC line) to the Sonos SoundbarHad everything installed on Wed 11/10/21 and excited about all the great things I had heard about the quality. Since they we have been trying to find a solution to an ongoing issue. The sound stops working when going into apps and hoping around channels via our Direct Tv Stream App. The fix thus far is to just keep clicking back and forth between channels and usually the sound comes back. When it does not after multiple attempts, we close out the Direct Tv App and re-open and then it can work again. Also has effected other apps(Hulu, HBO, Showtime, YouTube) seemingly at random. Again, can try hopping around some in hopes in works or close/re
I just upgraded from the Beam to the ARC. I'm using the HDMI to optical bc the Sharp TV has no arc-HDMI feature. The TV remove would run the Beam volume just fine, but does not work with the ARC. Yes, I've paired it with the Arc and the TVs internal speakers are set to off as they were with the Beam. The IR/indicator light on the ARC does light up when I press the volumn, but it doesn't change the volumn at all. Any ideas?
