I've more or less removed my sub and one sl's from my surround. Trying to add them back has been hours of failure. For some reason it added on of the rear speakers to another room and at some point I got the other doing a stereo pair. I have no idea how to get it all back to normal and my sub will not add no matter what. Can someone please help me. Noob mistake and I've been at it for hours.
Hello, My Sonos Playbase stopped working (very frequent issues when starting a playlist from PC and phone). I reset it and tried to create a new system and add it without success. The setup procedures fails each time when the app tries to identify the Playbase with the chime pin: either the sound will not be emitted by the Playbase, or it will start for 0.3 second and then stop.I tried different things and all failed:Reset and then direct connection to the router via ethernet and setup via Android app: fails at chime pin step Reset and then direct connection to the router via ethernet and setup via iPhone app: fails at chime pin step Reset and then wifi connection and setup via Android app: fails when trying to connect to the temp wifi Reset and then wifi connection and setup via iPhone app: fails when trying to connect to the temp wifi I tried to reset then shut down then restart: same behaviour I also tried to do that before or after adding my 2 Play:1 to the system. Same behaviour.
I have a Beam soundbar I use for TV, and a pair of Ones in the same room for music. I’m aware I could put the Ones in the back of the room and pair them to the Beam as surrounds, but I really like where they are towards the front of the room for music. Music sounds great when the Ones and Beam are grouped. However, I’m having a bit of a frustrating experience switching back and forth between music and TV. I can’t leave the speakers grouped, because for whatever reason there is a minimum delay between the Beam and Ones of 75ms (I think) that causes an echo effect. So I set the beam to “ungroup on autoplay” for when the TV comes on. This works fine if the TV comes on when music is already playing: The Beam and Ones are ungrouped, the Beam starts playing TV and the Ones are paused. However, if the TV comes on when the speakers are grouped with music already paused things get weird: The Beam and Ones are ungrouped, the Beam starts playing TV and music is unpaused on the Ones. This creates q
I have no sound. I followed the often shared advice here to take it to a friend's house that had a CEC tv. I took it to a friend's house, plugged it into his CEC Arc TV; opened the Sonos app and no Sonos setup was needed. The speaker played great. Thinking it was solved I took it home and set it up, but there was no sound again.I've tried multiple configurations, including connecting the Arc HDMI directly into the projector HDMI port but nothing. My current configuration:BenQ TH671ST Projector --> Display End of 18gps HDMI cable --> Source End of 18gps HDMI cable in Arcana --> Arc.Arcana Port Configuration:* HDMI In - Firestick * Power - Arcana Power * HDMI Out - Source End of 18gps HDMI * eArc Out - HDMI to ArcEvery time I try and setup the Sonos TV app I get the CEC Not detected error. What am I missing? Did I do something wrong/miss a step, when I hooked it up to my friend's TV?What is not working here?
Hello everyone, I am interested in purchasing a Beam (Gen 2). My TV has ARC support through HDMI. I utilize my laptop as my entertainment center. I am currently using a low quality Bluetooth soundbar that provides sound for my laptop. I own a PlayStation 4 and of course, I cannot connect, so I am utilizing TV speakers for that sound. I would like to have my PlayStation 4, TV and Laptop utilize the Sonos Beam (Gen 2). My laptop does have HDMI, but does not have a SPDIF port, I have no problem investing in a USB type device that will provide me one. My issue is that I do not know how to make sure I will receive audio through my laptop onto the Sonos. I am ready to purchase the speaker, but I am at a loss for establishing the laptop connection, which is used by me daily.
Hi, I’ve had a search on the forums but couldn’t find this scenario discussed.I have a sonos beam in the living room, a One (gen 1) in another room and am thinking of getting another One (gen 2) in a third room. Is there a way to have these primarily in multi-room setting and then occasionally bring them into the living room to join up with the Beam on the TV for a surround sound setup for movie nights? I know this setup is possible in some way (with instructions on the page ‘Add surround speakers to a Sonos home theater’) but what I wanted to know is if this is a quick switch that can be done with a couple of clicks on the app each time? Or would it require re-pairing the speakers using the connection button and then re-creating the other rooms each time I move the speakers back (so basically would it take more like 30 seconds or 10 minutes to switch between these two setups?).Also, are there any issues with combining a One gen 1 and a One gen 2 in this way? Thanks!
I have a tv and wanted to put a beam behind the couch, far enough away from the tv that it doesn’t make sense to hdmi the beam to the TV through arc. I wanted to see my options, but my understanding is that the tv must be hooked up physically to a sonos product if I want to get it playing on a sonos device of any kind. (even though the tv is wifi and bluetooth enabled samsung) If this is the case, I do have a sonos amp in the closet next to the tv that I could hook the tv up to. the question is, if i hook the tv up to the amp, is there a way to make the tv not play through the speakers connected to the amp (they are in another room) and instead have the beam play the tv. or are there other options. or is my only option to directly plug my tv into my beam.
My Gen 3 Sub won't kick in bass for several minutes (anywhere from 5 - 15 mins!) when playing music. It is paired with my Stereo paired One SL's. The app detects it, the speakers detect it (as the bass is removed from them when playing). Once it finally kicks in, it is fine. If I leave my music app then restart it, I have to wait all over again. The speakers and sub are close to each other, as well as to the wifi router. I have tried factory resetting it. I even exchanged it at Best Buy for another sub, and the new sub has the exact same problem.
Hello,I have a Playbar (wired) and a Sub (wireless), to which I want to add 2 Play:1s as surrounds. When trying to add the Play:1s, the configuration always fails with message “There was a problem adding your surrounds...”: after the failure, the 2 Play:1s appear to be there (+Sub+LS+RS), their controls work correctly (eg: I can volume up or down the sound coming from the Playbar), but no audible sound is perceived from them. This happens ONLY when the configuration is started with the Playbar wired. If I put the Playbar in wireless mode, the configuration succeeds and sound comes from the Play:1s: however, as soon as I put the Playbar back to wired mode, the Play:1s are silent again.I tried everything: I reset the Play:1s to factory, reset the router, changed the SonosNet channel, but nothing works. If the Playbar is wired, the Play1:s are silent, no matter if I am playing homecinema or streaming music.I submitted 2 diagnostics:1260792362, where all my tests described above are logged 1
HiI have a beam (gen1) in the home office. - audio and TV Also own an amazing legacy pair of floor standing speakers gathering dust. I’d like to add them to the home office for surround sound. If I order the amp, can i pair it with the beam to deliver surround sound? Thanks!
Pretty much every time I start the TV, my sonos Move starts to play the last song from Spotify! I have a Samsung TV connected via HDMI to a Sonos Beam. How can I fix this so that no music starts just because I start the TV? When I start the TV no music is playing.
Here is the setup. Five Sonos One V3 speakers, one Arc Soundbar + Sub WooferThe condition: I start playing music (Pandora) using either the Sonos ios app or using Google Assistant, i.e. “Play Pandora music” If in the Sonos app all devices had been selected before starting the music all is fine and music plays throughout the house. I later stop playing Pandora i.e. “OK Google, stop the music” Later when I turn on the TV (connected to the soundbar via HDMI ARC), all is fine and TV audio plays correctly though the soundbar. The problem is when you turn off the TV, the soundbar will not re-connect to the rest of the speakers in it’s group. You must manually open the Sonos app to reconnect it to the other speakers. The soundbar does have a selectable settings under “Home Theater”. The first setting, “TV Autoplay” does just that. When the TV is turned on the soundbar automatically connects to the TV. The second option is “ungroup on autoplay”. This prevents the TV audio from pl
Hi, i recently bought my Sonos stuff and have serious issue with tv remote and Arc soundbar.I programmed my remote without any issues (immidietly) but while sound input “Tv” only volume down is working (no volume up and mute).on Spotify and sonos radio everything works well. can you support?
Hi All, I am about to replace my existing Rotel Amp with a Sonos AMP and wanted to clarify my intended configuration first please.I am going to exchange my existing Connect via the discount programme for the AMP. This room already had two passive speakers and a TV connected to a Sonos Beam via HDMI, but isn’t set up as a 4.0 system. Which is what i’d prefer while i ponder buying a Sonos Sub.Should I go ahead and by the AMP, do i need to run the HDMI ARC to the new Sonos AMP or can i leave it connected to the Beam via HDMI ARC and let my Wifi and the Sonos app sort out the surround? I’ll be connecting my passive speakers directly to the AMP. (To run either ethernet - which i think was needed on the connect, or HDMI i’d need at least 8 meters of HDMI which makes me nervous). Thoughts please and let me know if the above isn’t clear and I can provide a diagram. Cheers,James
Set up: Sonos Beam Gen 2 / Xbox Series X / SAMSUNG - UE40MU6100 TVApologies as this has been asked many times from reading through forums but I’ve yet to see a clear and simple fix for this issue. I recently bought Sonos Beam Gen 2 and I’m having a significant audio delay issue when using my Xbox Series X. This occurs when I change my audio output from stereo uncompressed to Bitstream out > Dolby Digital. The soundbar is connected via the HDMI ARC input and the Xbox in another HDMI port. I’ve seen products such as https://hdfury.com/product/4k-arcana-18gbps/ suggested as a possible fix but I’m much rather not fork out another £150 to solve an issue which shouldn’t happen in the first place. Are there any other suggestions for a potential fix? Any help is much appreciated!
I have two amps. One is for outside speakers, and one is for inside speakers. I wanted to be able to play music outside, TV inside, and same play on both inside and outside. Is there a way to create a group where same plays on both? In the app it says group is only available with 3 or more rooms. Wondering if a room can be added with only two amps, therefore, allowing the two amps to play same thing?
Hello, I have received my new sonos arc yesterday and after multiple tests, reboots and customer support advice it seems that the soundbar is broken - even simple stereo plays from right speakers only and left channel is very distorted and coming out from mid right side. It seems to me that only 1 or 2 speakers out of 11 works. My question is - is there any way to test individual speakers? I know I will get a replacement, it’s not a problem but I’m bit concerned that the new soundbar may have similar issues. At the moment it’s easy to notice the problem but I’m worried that if it’s just one or two speakers dead, especially the upfiring or one of the center ones it will be quite difficult to pinpoint it. Thanks
Hi, was wondering if it’d be possible to put the rear surround speakers at different distances to the sitting position. Right one about 3 ft back and to the side. and the left one about 9-10 ft behind. Both at about the same height. Is there a way to run optimization for that or would the sound be weird? Please let me know if anyone has tried it. Thanks!
