I have a Sonos arc paired with the gen 3 sub connected to my Sony xbr900e connected via arc(not earc) . Everything was working fine until a few days ago and now my audio is constantly cutting in and out. I have swapped hdmi cables, power cycled both tv and soundbar, factory reset my tv, and nothing has fixed it.
2020 LG 77" OLED and ARC + Sonos Amp and In-Wall Speakers - Will I get true 5.1 surround modes from the HDMI eARC?
For those that may have the LG 2020 CXPUA series TVs and are using them with an Arc sound bar and Sonos Amp plus in-wall speakers, do you get true 5.1 surround modes out of the LG’s HDMI eARC? I realize that this question is probably best posed to LG tech support but the dummies kept reading “2.2 Speaker System” back to me off the website and that wasn’t my question. Will the HDMI eARC send true 5.1 surround modes to the Sonos Arc sound bar and then wirelessly to in-wall speakers through the Sonos Amp? Or will it be some simulated surround sound?
Hi, I see this issue have been around a while but I guess it keeps happening. I just purchased the arc, sub and two Sonos SL and I was listening to music through Spotify. I adjusted the volume down and turned the screen of and put my phone in my pocket. The volume increased fast and reached 100% within a few seconds. Both me and my daughter had a scare (however, she cried more than me). Now, I capped the volume seeing as I want my kid to grow up being able to hear But it seems as using the spotify-app is not entirely stable. Had the same problem once again today. Speakers are up to date, Sonos and Spotify as well. Running ios 15.
I bought my One SL in august 2020 and have had the same issue since. I have two rather big issues that spoil my experience. First off is connection to my One SL. When I use airplay(from Iphone or Macbook) to play Spotify and pause the music for more than 1-2 seconds, the connection seem to be lost. Whenever I try to resume the playback, Spotify shows that music is playing but no sound is heard. What I have to do is disconnect from the speaker(I simply change output on my Iphone/Macbook to the built in speaker) and reconnect to it and playback works fine. Is this how the service is intended to be used? Please not I’ve tried with both wired and wireless connection. I’ve restarted all devices multiple times, reinstalled software and reconfigured the speaker. I also have troubles playing music through a service with the Iphone app. First time I try to stream something it loads for a few seconds, and then says something like “Can’t play <song>. Lost connection to <service>”. I
Hi ExpertsI'm new to Sonos world. First bought pair of One SL around 4 months back and now added Sub (Gen 3). However the Sub is sounding very underwhelming, hardly any difference than what I got with only pair of One SL. I tried with different genre of music and also tried increasing the Sub level to +8 but the change is minimal. I need your suggestions to diagnose and fix the issue. Thanks in advanceKoustav
I read a home theatre setup topic in help but it may be outdated. It says to set up the home theatre speakers as separate rooms before setting up as a home theatre. I will be setting up an Arc, Sub 3 and two Sonos Ones for surround. The Arc part of the app has “Add Sub” and “Add Surrounds” items. Do I still need to add each of the components as separate rooms in the app and then create the home theatre? Or can I just set up the Arc, add the sub and add the surrounds from the Arc page? Thanks!OB
Setup:65” TCLLatest 4K AppleTVSonos Arc connected via ARC portIssue:Sometimes I’ll be watching a program and I’ll want the audio to extend over AirPlay to various HomePods in my home. When I do this from the AppleTV, the audio is not in sync between the ARC and the HomePod(s). When I attempt to run the AirPlay audio sync tool on the AppleTV, it throws the lip synchronization off significantly.Has anyone else possibly run into this? Thank you
Hi community,I just bought a Beam Gen. 2 for my LG BX 4K OLED TV (latest LG WebOS firmware installed). The LG BX has HDMI 2.1 (eARC) and I used this HDMI Port to connect the Beam 2.Right after the initial connection and finishing the setup, I noticed a very unstable connection of the Beam which results in the TV constantly switching back and forth between the Beam (ARC output) and the internal speakers. So basically it’s sound coming for 3 seconds from internal TV speakers, then 3 seconds from the Beam, then 3 seconds from internal speakers, …Also I noticed that the whole TV becomes very “laggy” and unresponsive when I use the LG remote as long as I have the Beam connected via HDMI (eARC). The HDMI connection between the LG TV and the Beam seems to mess something up somewhere. When I unplug the Beam from HDMI ARC, TV becomes responsive again via the TV remove.I initially used a new HDMI 2.1 cable for the setup and have tested with a different cable - same result.Quick search indicated
Hi SONOS team,it would be really great if one can switch left and right channels (sides) on SONOS ARC or similar - I do not have a TV but a projector and a screen and it would be great to have the option to mount the arc on the ceiling -- this would require that the channels are switched or “mirrored”...what do you think? cant be that hard….
Hi all. Im new here and have a a question.I've got an extension being built and while the ceilings are down I have been considering a Sonos set up for this space. I am hoping to achieve a tv surround sound set up tied in with the option to listen and stream music using all speakers. I think I have narrowed this down to the following Sonos set up but I’m not sure if this would actually work in reality… An Arc, Sonos sub, x1 Sonos Amp and x2 rear Sonos in-ceiling speakers. Is this possible? If yes, what do I need to do or get in addition to make it work?Im looking for a simple answer as I’m a bit simple🤪. Thanks guys!
Is there a solution? Should I return the Arc? I see from this discussion group that this issue with Frame and Arc has been going on for a long time. SONOS - what should I do? Return the product? It is not working as advertised. Every day I go on and there is no sound - then bam - it works - then drops.
Small living room. Unsure where I should mount the rears (One SL). Check drawn picture for quick overview (imgur link below). I've got about 30cm clearance on both sides of the couch. I've got the possibility to mount them on the wall/ceiling aswel (just the upper/back wall) because right of the couch I have windows. What to do? I'm honestly stuck. I'd prefer wall mount aesthetically speaking; but would that ***mess*** up the entire soundstage or is it acceptable (not looking for perfection here). Or mount them on a stand just besides the couch, instead of directly behind (I get mixed answers when Googling).Any help would be welcome. As I've said; I'm stuck, locked. No clue what would work. https://imgur.com/a/Excvmi9 -- illustration. Moderator note: content *** edited for family friendly language.
HiI am having a problem with the Arc coming on at full volume sometimes when I turn my TV on, it didn’t do it on the beam before I upgraded. It sometimes does it when I change channels on the Sky box or when I turn on to a streaming channel. I have been talking to technical for a few months and trying different things but it still does it. It’s so annoying I am thinking of changing the system for something else but nothing compares. Am I the only person suffering from this or is there anyone else.
My system was installed by someone no longer in the business, so I lack much of the installation information. I have a Sony TV with a Playbar connected via optical (I think). I have paired a Sub to the Playbar. I have an Amp with some in ceiling speakers (not sure what kind). Now I try to add the Amp to the room with the Playbar and the amp does not see the Amp so I can’t add it. So I pair the two rims and it works fine. What am I doing wrong?
I’ve had my Arc since they came out. Over the last 4-6 weeks with TV - LG OLED B9. on I noticed the sound would stop 1-2x per week. At first I thought it was the station but I’d change the TV sound output to TV and I’d not only hear sound, but after a 2-3 minutes the sound would switch back to the ARC. I’ve since noticed that when this happens, the ARC doesn’t respond to Alexa, is not showing in the app and there are no lights on. It just happened again and after switching the TV output, it switched back after ~5 min. I’ve noticed similar complaints. What’s the remedy?
HelloI was checking SONOS S2 app options on how to add Sub to One SL pair already setup in my room. I found following link https://support.sonos.com/s/article/4805?language=en_USI’m not getting option as mentioned in step#4 of above link.Any idea what may be the reason? I’m yet to purchase SONOS Sub, but doing research on adding Sub to pair of One SL .--------------------------------------------Add a SubOpen the Sonos app for iOS or Android. From the Settings tab, tap System. Under Products, tap the room you would like to add your Sub to. Tap Add Sub. Follow the prompts to add the Sub to your Sonos system. ------------------------------------------------Thanks Koustav Biswas

My Sonos Playbar, which is connected directly to my TV, along with the Sonos Sub, Sonos One, and a Sonos One SL. This is what I consider my Sonos Playbar system. In order to listen to my turntable, I have a Sonos Port that connects as a “Line-in” to the Sonos Playbar. THE CHALLENGE: When I moved into my new house, there were (5) pre-installed in-ceiling speakers. So I purchased a Denon AVR-X1600H. I have one Port connected to the receiver assuming that would be another way to access all of those speakers. The Denon receiver acts as a separate Sonos output speaker, but only plays out of two of the in-ceiling speakers. What am I doing wrong? The preferred setup would be to do the following:Use the Sonos Playbar system during normal TV activities Use the Sonos Playbar system for casual music listening Use the Sonos Playbar system for listening to my vinyl turntable Use ALL speakers, including the Sonos Playbar system, during parties When I purchased the Denon receiver and the ports,
I have several rooms in my house connected to my SONOS system. My TV room television is connected to a Playbar. I have added a TV in the kitchen and often would like to see and hear on the kitchen set the same content playing on the TV room set. If I add a Beam to the kitchen set would it be possible to synchronize streaming video and audio to both sets?
I am having an issue with my 2021 Samsung Frame TV and Beam gen 2. Sometimes I get no sound when the TV turns on, sometimes it connects to the Beam but via ARC not eARC, sometimes the TV speakers come on and go off in a loop, but no sound from the Beam G2.I have tried the various solutions, but nothing works. The only fix is power cycling the TV. Which is a pain. If the Beam connects via ARC, turning the TV ARC setting from “Auto” to “Off” and back to “Auto” reconnects as eARC (but who wants to do that every morning?). If the TV speakers are cycling on and off every 10 seconds or so, I have to power cycle the TV to fix it.This is a major problem when my wife turns the TV on (from artMode) first thing in the morning for the News, and gets no sound, or TV speakers on and off every 10 seconds. Her solution? “The TV speakers are fine, send the Sonos thing back”). I like my “Sonos thing”, but only if it works!I have found that sometimes when the TV powers on on a morning with no sound (but
Hi Everyone,I received my Sonos home theater setup yesterday, which is being connected in the following way:Sonos Arc → Samsung 65F8000 HDMI ARCPS5 → Samsung F8000 HDMI 1Fios Cable → Samsung F8000 HDMI 2 Now I'm getting sound through the Sonos, but it’s showing up as stereo. I have the Fios and PS5 set to send out dolby, but it’s not taking place. In looking at my TV’s audio options, I am only able to select “receiver” for speakers. If I try to select external speaker, it switched back. In the digital out option, only PCM and DTS Neo 2 is available (no sound works with it). Dolby is greyed out. I know this is an older tv (2014), but it has ARC and should be able to send out Dolby Digital Plus. Any help is truly appreciated.
