sonos arc apple 4k tv 2022 lg c1 earc no dolby atmos only stereo pcm

I have all these but tidal only outputting in stereo pcm.

even albums that should report DA are missing the master recording symbol in tidal.

i have an almost exactly the same setup with a beam gen 2 and nvidia shield in place of the sonos arc and apple 4K tv 2022 and everything is fine.

any ideas?

Make sure the TV settings are set to this:

HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream

Digital Sound Output: Pass Through

eARC Support: On

 

And make sure the Apple TV audio settings are set to this:

Change Format: OFF

Dolby Atmos: ON

 

FYI… the Apple TV 4K and Sonos don’t support MQA.

FYI… the Apple TV 4K and Sonos don’t support MQA.
