Hello all, I am currently experiencing popping noise on my ARC and both of my rear One SL’s. Before I buy all new cords I was going to look for any suggestions from the community. I have them all plugged in via good ethernet cables either directly into my router, or via a managed switch. I really don’t know what I’m doing and I’m sorry to bug people with a question that has an infinite number of possible issues. But I figured I would give it a try! My diagnostic number I got from the app is 1329559578 If there is additional information I can give please advise! EDIT: It does not happen ALL the time. But enough that over the past year or so it’s driven me crazy enough to finally post here
Hi there,I’ve had my Sonos Beam 2 since Christmas and it has been working fine until today.I was watching TV and all of a sudden Sonos Beam powered down and I can’t get it back on.I switched power outlets, I tried waiting a couple of minutes and nothing happens.Saw these other people with the same problem:Is there a Fix?How can i get this to warranty and get Sonos switched for a new one?As this problem been identified by Sonos?
I’ve had my beam gen2 since it came out and a Sonos One earlier this year. Got my second one and speaker stands and paired everything together. Movie watching was enjoyable, however music playback has been disappointing. The issue is when playing with the “full” setting the speakers sound tinny and I hear light static, there is also a delay which is noticeable with any edm tracks. However when in ambient mode the issue isn’t present and turning up the rear volume the system sounds balanced and pleasant. I contacted support, and unpaired and repaired the speakers, all sounded well when grouped up in both ambient and full mode. However once trueplay was set up the initial issues came back (slightly less noticeable). It seems trueplay has caused issues but I can’t seem to fix even with doing a third try of it. I am using an iPhone 13 pro max and did clean out the mics. Has anyone else experience this?
I’ve read a lot of posts regarding similar issues to mine but none identical. I have a classic Sonos surround set-up with the Beam, run from a Samsung TV on HDMI ARC, which works perfectly most of the time. However when viewing advert supported channels e.g. My5 and 4OD I get a loud buzzing from the Beam right channel toward the end of the advert sequence or when the programme restarts. It’s like there is a change in the audio coding used by the ads which triggers it and the only way to stop it is by power cycling the Beam. I submitted a diagnostics report hoping for some advice: 691378500.
Hi All,Really could do with your help, have given up multiple times, but want to give it one last try before i ditch the Beam (1st gen).I’ve got an Optoma P2 Projector, which has HDMI and Optical Output. The P2 support Dolby Digital 2.0 (HDMI ARC and Optical Output support Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus pass through). We stream from the Google Chromecast to the P2 projector, but have never (for 2 years) been able to get audio to the Sonos Beam and have had to settle for the projector speakers.I’ve tried an audio extractor (Input = Chrome Cast HDMI, Output = HDMI video to P2 and Optical to Beam via the supplied HDMI to Optical cable) but haven’t had any luck.Have also tried routing the audio from the P2 project direct into the Beam, I’ve noticed the optical output on both the extractor and the P2 have the red light, but am perplexed why I am not getting any sound. Is there something within the Projector, the Speakers or Chromecast I’ve missed?
Recently got the Sonos Beam (Gen2). Bit annoyed that it requires an app to setup. An app that demands to know my location otherwise refuses to load. But anyway…I setup the speaker, plugged in a mix of cables to get my TV connectedBeam > HDMI (included) > Optical adapter (included) > Aux converter (my own) > TVEverything worked great. We were watching TV and I deleted the app.Next day, I turn on the TV and there is no sound. The Beam has a solid white light and if I press the Play button it flashes orange. I re-downloaded the app, turned the speaker off and on, wiggled some of the cables… not sure what i did but it started working again. If I press the Play button it goes from a White light to a Green light, muting or unmuting the sound. All seems well. I deleted the app again… I don’t want it.Next day. I turn on the TV and there is no sound. We’re back to White/Orange lights. What am I doing wrong here? I just want to plug my TV into this speaker and have sound. Do I have to
I’ve got a Sonos Arc connected via hdmi to a Sony TV, with a gen3 sub. No Sonos products in the house are hard wired to network. I’m attempting to pair an amp for rear surrounds, but cannot get the amp to pair. I’ve tried every trouble shooting step I can think of, including factory resetting every piece of sonos equipment on the network, but cannot get them to pair. Is there a specific sequence that these need to be added in?
Bought a Sonos Arc today and came home to set it up. Went through the setup instructions provided by GuitarSuperstar here:The setup went smoothly except that the “Select HDMI Input Audio Format” option is greyed out and I can’t change it to ‘Bitstream’ as instructed - it’s still set at ‘PCM’. Not sure where to go with this. :-/

Folks - I read multiple threads about this topic and am so new to SONOS that I didn’t understand a thing. So here I go again and please explain the possibilities:I bought a Sonos Home Theater system Immersive Set with Arc couple of months ago - as y’all know it comes with an Arc + Sub (Gen 3) + a pair of Sonos one smart speakers The way I have them setup in my media room is - Arc is sitting right below/in front of my wall mounted TV, Sub is sitting on the right side of the TV and sonos one pair are setup in the two corners of the room behind me (behind the couch where we watch from) Now I bought another pair of Sonos one smart speakers - Can’t find a way to link them to the Arc so that I can make the system Arc+Sub gen 3+LS+RS (which already exists) + the two new One smart speakers The only way it allows me on the app is to have them created separately as a Studio pair which then don’t link to the arc! If I do a second product grouping Media Room Add on (2 new one speakers) + the origi
Hello! i have 4 in-wall speakers (2 in front and 2 in the back of the room) along with an amp and arc.i can’t get all 4 speakers and the arc to play… or what will happen is that the arc will play along with the 2 front speakers- but the back 2 speakers won’t play. thoughts??
I'll likely be buying an Arc for a 65" TV. The TV will be sitting in a cabinet (that I'm designing) and will be lifted up in front of a window when we want to watch TV. Otherwise we want to keep the view through the window. The Arc will sit on top of the cabinet even when the tv is hidden (so we can listen to music). The Arc will be at the top front centre of the cabinet, and the TV will rise up behind that through a hinged lid. What I'd like to know is what to allow for holes in the cabinet top so I can hide the cables and keep it all clean. As I haven't yet bought an Arc, I can’t tell if the cables come from behind or the middle or left side for example. I don't even know how many cables I'll need. Presumably at least power! The TV will be a 2021 model so have all the appropriate connections. Thanks John
Hello,I have a Beam 2 with 2x SLs and a SUB connected to my Samsung TV via eArc. This setup worked well for a few weeks, but then the system started randomly cutting sound and connecting to the internal TV speaker for about 5 seconds. Then switching back. This can happen between one time per day to about once every five minutes, rendering the system useless.I have tried multiple things for weeks:The issue also occurs when streaming through the TV internal netflix app, not only when watching HDMI from my set top box - The issue seems not to have anything to do with the set top box.I have connected to the optical port on the TV instead of the eArc - No changeI have connected to the optical port on the set top box - No changeI have also tried basically all settings available on the TV and on the Sonos. Updated everything yesterday (March 11, 2022) - No change.I have run the system on Ethernet cable or Wifi - No changeMy conclusion is that the beam just goes into some sleep mode for an unk
Hello, so I got my beam 2 sometime last year and I hooked it up to my 4K Phillips Smart TV which I use as a tertiary monitor on my PC when I want to watch a movie or an anime or something. For the first few months it worked flawlessly, but one day it started to drop only certain sounds from whatever I was watching. For example, background music in a show would not play unless two characters were speaking. Any time there was a gap in speech the music would stop. This has also happened with some background noise such as rainfall. I’ve tried factory resetting the device but the issue persists. I have tried removing my PC from the equation, and using the beam solely with the TV, and that seems to fix the problem, it works perfectly fine until I hook my PC back up to it. Any help would be appreciated
Hi all I have just purchased 2 sonos one speakers to go with my sonos beam that I use for my TV. The beam added in the app straight away. When I try to add the sonos ones it just doesn't show when it's searching for devices. However, I factors reset all 3 devices and discovered that I can add the beam and the speakers won't be discoverable or if I add the speakers then it won't be able to see that there is beam aswell. They are not set as a stereo pair. They are all on the same network. Can anyone help..pulling my hair out
In my living room, I have a Sonos Arc with a Sub and 2 xPlay:1 for surround. Recently I’ve noticed that the system appears to loss the bass. The sub is still part of the Living Room when I look in the Sonos app. If I turn the Sub off in the Sub Audio option, then I can hear the bass increase as it’s now coming from the Arc.I’ve taken some diagnostics, hopefully someone can take a look and tell me if they can see an issue.Diagnostic: 2074324410When this happened yesterday, I had to remove the sub from the room and add it back in to fix it. Is there a quicker way to resolve it while I await a response from Sonos?
Hello, I have seen conversations regarding this topic without resolution. I have an Arc that plays my TV sound in my living room. I also have two One speakers hooked up to the Arc. I want the One speakers to automatically play anytime the TV or music plays. Is there a way to do this without manually connecting them through the app? Thank you!
Im sure this has been covered so sorry if it's a repeat question but I genuinely couldn't find the answer I was looking for . I have had a stereo pair of play 1s for a while and been really happy with them but I wanted to watch YouTube on TV and play music through my play 1s. So I I've just introduced a beam, to connect to the pair of 1s. Here are my questions 😁 If I group them all together, I'm assuming they are no longer playing in stereo? (I need to group them if I want to use them with my YouTube music on my TV) My play ones are beside my TV and I'm unable to move them for surround sound, would I be better just using the beam for Movies without the play 1s? If I just want to steam music from my phone, can I have a separate group just to use the play 1s as a stereo pair without the beam and if so how? Thanks.
