I received my Arc and Sub yesterday from best buy. Had handy person come out today to wall mount ARC and fish wires through wall to back of LG 77 C2 tv. Sonos Arc and Sub are talking fine with each other, but when I try to pair it to TV through the sonos application it fails and says unable to connect to ARC or something along those lines. Very very annoying. I am sure if I contact LG they will say contact Sonos and Sonos will blame LG, etc. Have read a lot of the knowledge base on here and there seems to be some issues likely going on with the c2 Tvs and the ARC is this true? ff so this is a very expensive paperweight as main purpose is to watch this with my TV vs streaming music or other stuff. I have tried literally everything. Whether would to turn smartlink on/off, unplug all hdmi’s power cycle it, etc.. Is the c2 and the ARC just not compatible with each other currently? If so let me know please and will save me time. Wish I would of read of some of these issues ear
Remote control will not control SONOS played music volumeFrom everything I have read I went two steps forward and one step backwards. I had the playbar and LG OLED55E6 connected via Optical. The remote volume controls worked for the TV and for offline music when the TV was off.Upgraded to a new LG OLED65C3 and Sonos ARC. The TV and ARC work beautifully together. However now I understand there is no way to control the ARC for music volume via the LG Magic remote. Yes I can ask Alexa to adjust volumes but it sure was nice to grab the remote and turn music volume down when the phone rings or company is in the room . Now I have to scramble for a phone or command Alexa to control the volume. Not sure why SONOS did not engineer a way for a RF remote to work via CEC and direct when CEC is inactive.
Been having an issue with my play base lagging from the picture. Slowly gets worse and worse the longer I let it play. I even connected to my tv through Auxiliary cable to try to rectify issue, but still continuing. Tried restarting tv and play base, didn’t fix it. Anyone else encounter this issue?
I allow myself to contact you today because I have a problem, I have a Panasonic Viera TX-L47ET5E television, with an Nvidia Shield tv pro (Android) and a SONOS ARC sound bar. When I plug the soundbar into the HDMI ARC port and I check on the SONOS app I have a display that shows the stream is PCM Stereo and the result is the same when I connect in digital optical, can you help me please ?
I recently purchased a Sony X95K mini LED tv and geek squad attached my sonos beam to it. The beam will not play the TV audio UNLESS I follow these steps: TV and sonos OFF, apple TV and cable HDMI unplugged. TV on, sonos ON...plug only the sonos beam HDMI in connect sonos beam via the sonos app to the TV Last: plug in apple tv and cableevery time I turn the TV off, I must repeat this process if I want the beam to play the TV audio.Does anyone have a work around? It seems as if the sonos beam has to be the “priority” plug-in. I’ve read and done research that confirms this but there has to be a work around….
My LG 55UM7000AUE 4K TV (2019/HDMI ARC) turns off for awhile while watching streaming apps on my Fire Stick 4K Max displaying Dolby Atmos on the S2 app. Usually the TV will come back on in a couple seconds with sound; other times I’ll have pic, but no sound. My system for the TV is the Arc, Sub Mini, and One SLs for the surrounds. I’m using 8K HDMI cables now, but I had the same issue with 4K cables. If I select Dolby Digital and not Best Available or Dolby Digital Plus in the Fire Stick audio settings the TV will not turn off, but then I only get Dolby Digital 5.1. I’m thinking the issue is with the TV’s processor/HDMI Arc/CEC not the Fire Stick as I’ve lost sound when switching inputs from DVD to Xfinity, etc. if I turn the TV off and wait awhile the sound will come back on with Sonos, but not always. Another clue is that if I switch to internal speakers the Arc will not default back for my audio as it does with my other Sonos systems. Oh, my audio signal with Xfinity is Dol
Trying to get sound from DirecTV into my Sonos system to put in any room. The old DirecTV had analog out that went directly into my Sonos Connect. The new box doesn’t have that. I split (1x4) my HDMI signal from the output of a Denon Amplifier to 2 Samsung TVs. I tried to take a 3rd HDMI into my Sonos AMP but I get no sound. Is there a way to take the Digital Coax or TOSlink from the DirecTV box into the Sonos Connect to distribute that audio to my Sonos system?
So we know the side speakers of the Arc fire either front channels or surround channels depending on which rear speaker it is paired with. It would be nice if we can have the option to set how the side firing Arc speaker function regardless of the paired rear speaker. For example, 300 users may want to hear more front channel instead of surround with their Arc or viceversa for 100/One/Five users. I understand this unique behavior of the Arc and 300 is to create a “bubble” but having that option so users can toggle what works best for their ears and home would be a nice to have. What are your thoughts? This, along with option for front hiring on 300 and official support for reverse mounting is on my Christmas wishlist. For now I can only wish.
Hello,I’ve been waiting over a month for the Sonos era 300 wall mounts to ship. My order says they would ship by May 31 and here we are they still haven’t shipped yet. Why is this delay so long? I would really like to enjoy my Era 300 where they should be wall mounted. Any ideas when they will be back in stock?
Sonos Beam will not connect to my system. I did a factory reset on the Beam, attached to router with a cable . It gets recognized. I then unplug the Ethernet cable and it doesn't connect. I have 3 Moves, 1 playbar, sonos 1 and a Era 100. No issues with them. Just the Beam
I was planning on replacing these one SL surrounds with Era 300s. There are 2 ceiling fans directly above each speaker though. Ceiling height is 8 ft. Another option could be to wall mount them upside down along the back wall. Any thoughts would be welcome. Current system is Arc, sub gen 3 and SL surrounds.
I saw a video where someone used a 300's in a stereo set up along side an arc system (subs and rears) and mentioned it was okay and did provide more wider channels. Has others tried this? Does it "work" as a work around? I assume you'll lose some precision from the arc but would you gain wider channels?
Hi Everyone,I’m interested in utilizing a Sonos Beam and Mini Sub on my PC, for gaming and connecting to the rest of my home Sonos setup. I do crafts and whatnot so sometimes I like to sync the music in all my rooms, and my office is the only place I can’t.I’ve done some research and I understand that a Beam (gen 2) will work great from my PC. I’m unclear on how to incorporate the Mini Sub. Anyone here tried this out or know the details on how they work together?Any help would be greatly appreciated! I don’t want to buy the kit and then have to return it.Cheers,Zodd
Hi, I’ve read all the other past posts and I’ve been able to work out most things when connecting my Beam 2 to my LG tv for dolby atmos to work but the instruction to put “HDMI input audio format: HDMI 2 Bitstream” doesn’t work for me as it’s grey’d out and I can not select anything. However, when nothing is playing through the sonos, that menu option isn’t grey’d out for me and it’s automatically selected to whichever HDMI I’ve previously selected. For example, if I’m on HDMI 1 (even though the HDMI ARC is HDMI 2), that menu is already selected to HDMI 1. Anyone got any advice?
Hello everyone, I have 2 sonos amp and 4 outdoors speakers, 2 speakers on my deck and 2 speakers on my outdoor kitchen, I just bought an outdoor tv (55’’ Samsung Terrace outdoor tv) and i don’t know how to connect the amp to the tv using HDMI because the amp is located indoor about 40/50 feet away from the tv that will be outside on the outdoor kitchen, anyone has an idea how to set it up? do i need an HDMI extender with cat6 cable? or sound bar to keep it outdoors? how can i set it up properly?
My Beam 2 is only outputting as Stereo PCM and not Dolby Atmos. I’ve been through numerous discussions/instructions to find out why but drawing blanks. I have a PS5 and Sky Stream and have the Beam 2 in the HDMI arc (2) slot. My tv is an LG Oled55c7v. Key settings - outputting to hdmi/optical set as auto and on. What am I doing wrong?
I have a Sonos Arc, since almost 2 moths now. Since a week (maybe since update to 15.4?), our Sonos Arc’s status LED is flashing orange and it is making a popping/clicking sound (in accord with the LED flashing) from the right speaker, every time before it commences to play audio (e.g. from TV, stream via Spotify (Sonos or Spotify app) or Airplay.I performed a factory reset, but this didn’t help.
