Wiim is what I'm looking at, but this problem might be Google's fault, and I will continue to give Sonos time to investigate for at least another week.

I am seriously angry about how Sonos are handling this. I bought this specifically because it was advertised to work on Google home. We haven’t been told if it is a technical issue, political issue, if or when it will be fixed. Are you even working on it? What is the problem exactly? I am returning my Sonos, even if the issue is resolved, the lack of clarity and communication from Sonos is astonishing.

To be fair, they acknowledged the issue and said they are investigating.  I'm hoping for an update by next week.

Just got off sonos support chat with someone. Spent 30mins going through stuff only to be told he can't raise a ticket and to call on the phone tomorrow. Brilliant.

Hi Everyone

We have taken steps to address this issue - please try adding Google Assistant again, if you haven’t already, and if it fails, please let us know.

We are glad to hear that it is working again for a few of you, at least.

Thanks @gagaren, but I can’t take the credit!

Thank you @Corry P Now it works again, super happy! Just one little problem left for me, and that is getting the sound from my Google Nest Hub to play on Sonos. But for now I can live with that. :)

Hi @Mackeale

Good to hear!

I don’t think you’ll ever be able to have Nest audio play through Sonos without the use of line-in (assuming Nests even have output ports - I have no idea).

Thanks Corey / sonos and everyone else for fixing this.

It's made my weekend, ha.

Now it works for me again. Many thanks to everyone involved!

There is an option to add Sonos as standard speaker. Google also tells me “Playing Spotify on Kitchen” (wich is my Sonos speaker in the kitchen). But nothing comes out of the speaker. It works great when i say it to Google on a Sonos speaker with microphone. Any idea what it could be? :)

Hi @Mackeale

Apologies - I misunderstood.

Another user just reported the same issue on another thread - I recommended that they remove whichever music service they are using from both Google Home and Sonos, then re-add them. It did not help, but I still think it is worth you trying, just in case it works for some and not others.

Please also try rebooting all devices involved, including the router by switching it off for at least 30 seconds. Reboot the speakers after the router.

I hope this helps.

Yeah I saw that, I’m in both threads haha. I just tried both steps but unfortunately it didn’t help. :(

Hi @Mackeale

Understood, and thanks for trying.

I am hoping this is not a pattern, but at present, all I can suggest is that you get touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Thank you @Corry P and the team who tirelessly works behind to resolve this issue.

We all sound very angry simply because of the lack of transparency and communication - this could be done better in the future but great that we are all back with our Sonos with GA.

Many thanks!

I am glad that this is resolved.

Thanks, @Corry P for keeping us up to date.

I actually got the same issue as well - When I ask Google to play Spotify on Sonos, it doesn’t play anything. Would this be an issue or just simply Spotify doesn’t play on Sonos?
