I own 4x Sonos Roams. I have to set them up as stereo pairs and rename them everytime I use them. I have 2x white and 2x black and just want them to remember they belong together!
Hello allI have a sonos one and beam currently plugged in and I have several music services but Rova which is use to play my local radio station (also seems to be the only service that streams my local radio station) the music skips/ stops every half minute or so.This only happens with this service as Spotify, tube in etc etc do not do it. Has anyone had a similar issue?Internet solutions are tricky as the internet is paid for my work so the provider has to change channels etc. All I can do is turn the router off and on again which I have done many times and doesn't resolve the issue.
I don’t have 1000 playlists but i have enough where Sonos cuts me off at the letter U. Why are there limits? Playlists are how i organize my music. I don’t want to delete any. It would at least be helpful if I could delete some from being imported to Sonos. At least that would help. Is that possible?
Hi there,I just got my regular Deezer family plan upgraded to the new Family Hifi plan they offer. So… I have an issue within the Sonos S2 App. It seems that the songs the app pulls from Deezer service aren’t played in FLAC format but in Mp3 only. When I play a song within Deezer app, everything plays back just fine in HiFi format. But as soon as I use the Sonos S2 app, I’m getting Mp3 audio only.It appears (by reading the Deezer community) that multiple users are experiencing this issue as well.My audio quality settings in Deezer are all set to Custom / HiFi for everything (including streaming) and my compression settings in the S2 app are set to uncompressed.Help ?Below are screenshots of the same song, both playing in the Deezer app and S2 App.
Hi there, was wondering if someone could help me. So I have recently bought a Sonos Arc & 2 SL rear speakers and I have been really happy with the surround sound on the built in apps with my TV (I have a 2021 Samsung QN95A), it has been working perfectly. My PS5 however, is a completely different story. I feel like I have been playing around with the settings now for over a week and I still have had no success.Initially, I have read that PCM is better quality compared to Dolby/DTS within the PS5’s settings so I started with that. When I switch the output device to AV Amplifier and then ‘number of channels’ to 5.1, Sonos was not identifying the 5.1 channel still only picking up Stereo in the app. So I went into the TV’s settings, where the format was set to ‘Auto’, I switched it to PCM and it was the same. I switched it to ‘Pass-through’ and it flashed up 5.1 on the app however the sound cut out and then it went incredibly deep. Everything that was coming out of the speakers was muc
I have a Sonos Move, One SL, and Port and a Brennan B2 music server with my CD collection that has been working perfectly for almost a year. However, three days ago I noticed that some songs can not be found by my Sonos in the Brennan server. The most puzzling thing is that the “trouble” songs play in my One SL when it is the only speaker but not if I make the Move or Port the sole output. I notice that the problem songs have characters like ñ, accents, and/or question/exclamation marks in their titles. I reset all my Sonos components and that by itself does not fix the problem. The problem goes away only when I remove the offending characters from the name of the songs in the Brennan B2 music server. I have not made any changes in my system to have caused this problem. Has there been lately an autonomous update in the firmware of my Sonos components? How can I fix it? I would prefer not having to go through my full library in my server removing offending characters that were not a pro
Hi, I have recently purchased 2 Roams for stereo sound on my terrace and I am seeing some issues with one of them - it’s constantly disconnecting when the WiFi network is changed. I’ll explain my setup and I mention I tried resetting both devices to factory settings and adding all WiFi networks to the list - It looks to me like there’s an issue with that particular Roam, because the other one doesn’t experience any of these issues. Here’s my setup: I have an apartment and a terrace at the next floor, where I get to via stairs. To make WiFi work reliably everywhere, I have a router in the apartment and a powerline extender via the electric grid on the terrace - the SSID is the same for both, they are linked via OneMesh, so when signal fluctuates, the WiFi doesn’t drop on my mobile device and it’s rebalanced. When I run internet speed tests, I get 600 Mb/s in the apartment and 110 Mb/s on the terrace. I use 2 separate SSIDs, one for 2.4 GHz and one for 5 GHz, but I am always connected t
has anyone been able to get boom 3d to work with the sonosor know of a 3rd party AP to connect to the sonos so that u can utilize a full EQ board
I have:Zyxel router where Wi-Fi has been disabled. From zyxel goes a cable to DECO M9 PLUS. From Deco goes a cable to Sonos Boost. All Sonos products (2*five, 1*3, 1*symfonisk, 1*Arc) are connected via Boost (WM: 0)I have tried to connect Sub (gen 3). In the end of the setup it says the Sub has been added but might not be shown. Turn it off and on again.…But nothing happens. It will not connect. Find missing products does not help. I am going to try a WiFi 6 mesh router with extenders for my home. I have consistently had audio issues with my Sonos system in my very narrow, 3 story urban home. The system works well enough that I don’t get too frustrated, but when I push it (playing music library on lots of speakers, for example, I often get dropouts or songs that just stop due to throughput issues. I would like get some sort of signal quality info on the system BEFORE I install the new mesh system and AFTER so I can see if the new system is an improvement. What do you suggest I do to test this? Thanks, John
I have an album in my library which is in WAV format (it was a download from a vinyl I bought, so I can’t rip it into another format) I have listened to it several times over the last 2 weeks via my Sonos system but today, after updating to the latest version of the app, the album no longer appears when i search for it.If I navigate to the folder sonos will play it but it won’t show in a search. The files haven’t changed in anyway, so I can only assume someting has changed with the app? I saw some old posts which refer to problems with WAV tags but the articles they link to no longer exist so I can’t check what was mentioned in them to see what they suggest.if anyone has any ideas I’d appreciate it
Finally got my Roam. Really disappointing. Charged it for four hours. Tried every adapter in my house. Finally to got 100%. Played for four minutes then turned off. Flashing red light. Left to charge again overnight. Turned on for ten minutes then turned off. App is saying 100% but won’t play. When operational, also dropped off my system every two minutes and need to be reconnected. Oh dear. Think I’ll need a replacement. And if that’s no better, refund. any thoughts? thanks!
Hi! I bought an Arc back in November ‘20 and have enjoyed it for the most part. Frustgratingly, however, the HDMI connection appears to be loose and as a result, the sound disconnects frequently. Reaching around to the back of the Arc and moving the HDMI cable will invariably reconnect the sound but not always. Unplugging the cable and reattaching it - either to the Arc or the TV - doesn’t solve the issue. There’s a lot of play in the connection (can wiggle a lot). Other HDMI cables also have the same issue. Has anyone else had this issue and can anyone suggest any fixes, other than sending the unit back for repairs - if accepted?
I have been trying out the Cloudflare WARP VPN. Whenever I am connected to WARP the Windows Sonos app cannot find my Sonos system. Anyone else using WARP? Any ideas or fixes?
If you have one of those Asus routers which support Quality of Service (QoS) feature to prioritize different kind of traffic (Streaming, Work from Home, etc.), this may be helpful to you. When I enabled this feature I had lot of issues with connecting to various Sonos speakers, or playing music on them, or adding a new speaker to the system, etc. Once I disabled QoS feature in the router, everything worked seamlessly.I have ASUS ZenWiFi AX6600 (XT8) router.
My Sonos One SL will not allow me to connect my Spotify account. My Spotify account is a premium subscription and all of a sudden Sonos stopped playing that media server. I have 3 Sonos One SL’s connected to my business network. Two are set up as a stereo, and the last one is added by itself. Now my account will not play any media server, including Spotify and Apple Music. The stereo pair is not showing (?+R). Please help!
Any word on a software update, allowing the Move to stereo pair with another in Bluetooth mode? It has been a year and a half since the Move came onto the market. It’s absurd that Sonos didn’t take care of this major issue in the initial release, but it should definitely be a high priority to address it with a downloadable software update. A friend just bought me a fully waterproof Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 2, which retails for around $100. You can stereo pair via Bluetooth 2 of these little guys together, but the $400 Sonos Move can’t be? The technology is out there. C’mon, Sonos… please make this happen! The Move is designed to take on the go, that’s the point, all features should be available while… on the go!
There is a difference between the way the BBC Skill works on a Sonos One speaker and an Echo Dot. Playing the current radio program works fine and the same on each speaker. On a Dot, you can ask Alexa to play a specific program which might be from a previous day. If you stop the programme you can then resume the programme from where you stopped. In fact, if you use the BBC Sounds app to continue listening when you then resume on the Dot it picks up from where the BBC Sounds app finished. All very neat. The Dot also allows you to fast forward through a programme. On the Sonos One, you can still ask for a specific programme. However, stopping and resuming the programme actually restarts the programme rather than resumes. What’s worse is that the BBC skill announces how much of the programme is left making you think it has resumed. And then fast-forwarding a programme actually restarts it! All the opposite of very neat!I’ve tried the following to sort it out:Updated Sonos Disabled and re-en
I've had your Sonos Play 5 for about 4 years now. What an utter peice of Sh12 when it comes to connectivity! Seriously. Flipping thing doesn't know if it is Artha or Martha most of the time. Slow, forgets everything, needs a constant slap to work! I actually hate that slippery little B. Seriously guys, for the money there are way better options. Better connectivity with a $10 Chinese Bluetooth peice of xxxx. When it plays its good. I want to add more products to extend my sound, but won't invest because this thing barely works. Disappointing purchase, you don't get more $ from me! It's in the trash if anyone wants that POS!
Hello I am still looking for the best way to get the sound from my television, Sky dvd player to come through my Cambridge audio CXA81 amplifier which is in a different room I have a Sonos connect amp which I used with my previous tv it was plugged in via red/white connectors and accessed through the line in function in Sonos although there was a slight delay this was easy to do & worked well.I now have a Sony Tv model KD-48A9 With hdmi E-arc I was advised to connect the Sonos to this through a Tenkak HD10 switch also through its arc setting but it does not work and just a humming noise comes out, can somebody clarify if this is the best way to acheive this and how it would all need to be connected as I am not certain, the tv and amp both also supports chrome cast which I understand may also work Any help would be greatly appreciated Barry
Exactly the same as other discussions in here (eg), some not all of my speakers are dropping out for 5-20 seconds whenever i start a song or change it. its super frustrating and to my memory has only happened since i updated the the s2 controller (which in my experience has been inferior). Note i always play on a grouping 2 play 1s + 2 play 1s and sub (4 play 1s and sub) Submitted diag: 1327203633 Thanks
I have a Sonos 5.1 setup consisting of a beam, sonos one x2, and sub. Recently when listening to Spotify on my iPhone XS (the only controller I have active in my household), the volume on the system raises to max volume when going to change the volume in the sonos app, or from the lock screen. I have only had the system for a few weeks and it seems to only do this when Spotify is active, not Pandora or while using the TV. Currently my system is on version 10.1.2, and my iPhone controller states the version is also 10.1.2. My system is currently connected via wireless, and not through Sonosnet. I have seen in other forums that the work around is to disable hardware volume control and lock screen controls in the Sonos settings in the native iPhone settings app. But my question is, has this issue been permanently addressed yet in a sonos update/will it be in the future? Or does this have to do with possibly having a faulty system?
Bought the new Sonos Roam and love it, except I don’t think it’s working correctly. Works fine when plugged in and on wifi and connects to the other speakers in my home. When unplugged and in my house it no longer connects. When I take it outside off my Wifi, it doesn’t work at all. Appreciate it wouldn’t link to my other speakers when off wifi….but it should work. it’s as if it’s a portable speaker that isn’t portable? I’m sure I’ve done something wrong with the setup but can anyone help? I remember when I set it up initially my phone kept asking for something on a pop up but I had to switch that off as it was beyond annoying and drained my phone battery as well…..
Recent problem (within last week), connection to Spotify is lost. I am running latest version of Sonos on all my Sonos Amps and Speakers.
Hi all, I’ve come here to share some grievances that my pair of (stereo-setup) One SLs give me. After some time (usually a few days), both speakers decide to ignore DHCP offers from my DHCP server and start to setup their own, isolated, and unreachable, network in the 169.254.0.0/16 LINKLOCAL-RFC3927 space. Restarting the speakers does not help, only disconnecting from the WiFi and reconnecting makes them accept DHCP offers again. Obviously, ignoring DHCP offers and resorting to an isolated enclave is not an appropriate mechanism for a network-only speaker. I’d be eager to hear from Sonos what they suggest to be done here. cheers,--m p.s. happy to provide pcap’s that clearly illustrate the issue at hand.
