Hey all, Have had an Arc since they released last year using the supplied hdmi cable etc, was running on my older Hisense N7 series was capable of turning the TV on and off using Alexa, however with my new 2021 Hisense U7G, I'm getting dumb problems everywhere.I wiped Alexa from the Arc and deleted everything from the Alexa app, including removing anything from the desktop app at Alexa.amazon.com. I've just run-through the process of setting up Alexa via the Sonos app, then had to download/enable the Sonos skill in the Alexa app. At the moment when asking to turn the TV off, she says "hmm, I can't seem to reach the lounge room TV. Try re enabling the Sonos skill from the app" etc etc. Anyone have any advice? Hisense Australia were quick to palm off the problem and say it's not their fault at all, even though it was working perfectly fine prior. Edit: I've successfully got Alexa to turn the TV on (!) but she just won't turn the TV off! You can see her attempt to, but the TV just doesn't
I have a recent issue with Sonos. My wife and I both have our Spotify premium accounts connected, no issues. Just today, when I went to my account I see the Unable to Browse Music message. This is on iPhone/iPad/Mac. All apps are updated. Her account is fine.I have seen posts on here previously and tried following:Disconnected account and re-connected Logged out of Spotify and re-connected to my account having to login in again Reset routerNothing has worked. I am still able to see my playlist recent history and playlists that I had saved as Sonos playlists, but obviously not being able to natively browse Spotify is quite annoying. To compound the issue, on all systems it not longer distinguishes between which Spotify account is which, it just has two Spotify names under Music Sources; previously, it would just show one Spotify account and my name would be under it, and I could change back and forth, so now it just show two and one of them says unable to browse and then the other logs i
I've had the Sonos One Gen 2 for a just a little bit more than a month now and I have this issue where I can't stop the follow up conversation mode after enabling it on the Alexa, It's currently turned off and yet Alexa keeps listening and making this loud annoying *bip* sound after a command and keeps listening.Iv'e tried reconnecting the skill, power cycling the speaker, and reconnecting the Assistant but nothing seems to have any effect.I have Alexa in brief mode and as I understood is that she's supposed to make a little sound, and she does but in addition to that she also makes the loud one of the follow up mode.*UPDATE*Ok now that's weird, just checked on the site, after checking many times already for the last few days, and suddenly it was turned on, switched it off and it worked! I guess one of the troubleshooting methods above did work after all and it was some king of synchronization bug.
I had an odd issue with my Roam whilst on holiday recently.I took the Roam with me for hotel room entertainment in case our holiday was a washout. The first night all was fine. I was able to use the Roam via Bluetooth in the hotel room- no problem. Functioned as expected.I plugged the Roam in to charge overnight, and that's where the issue began. The next morning I could not get my phone or my partners' phone to find the Roam on Bluetooth. I probably spent an hour wrestling with it that morning and later again in the afternoon. The phones just would not find the Roam on a scan.Eventually out of frustration, I connected the Roam to the hotel's free wi-fi and reconnected my Sonos S2 App to the hotel WiFi. After that, I was able to connect to the Roam just fine. But now I will have to reprogram all my other Sonos speakers (I have a lot of them) when I get home. More than a bit annoying!I can't fathom why this happened but I assume the Roam must have automatically linked itself to the hote
Earlier this year, I installed about 12 speakers throughout my home. I have a few pairs of ones, fives, and moves. When everything works, it's glorious; however, I've had so many problems! I've spent literally hours on the phone with tech support between sonos and my ISP, and it's really getting old. I've sunk a ton of money into this system, and I'm so sick of dealing with problems instead of enjoying it!The latest problem (which just started about a week ago) is that when I open the app, it says "unable to connect, let's fix it". The problem is that I am connected... my Amazon Alexa works on the speakers, and all the white indicator lights are on. My phone is also connected to the same wifi signal, but they are not recognizing each other. I've tried logging in with multiple devices (android, iOS, PC), and it's the same with all of them. Tech support blames it on the wifi, but literally everything else in the house works just fine, and I don't understand how it could be wifi when
Greetings! I had been using Sonos Connect ZP90 for many years and few month ago started experience sound cuts out. I contacted Sonos technical support team and they suggested to fully reset the system and connect the device to the Internet via an Ethernet cable. I did as suggested, but the issue is still here. Recently the unit stopped sound output completely. However I discovered that the sound output resumes while I keep pushing volume up or down keys (either on the device, CR 2000 remote controller or in Sonos iOS app). This observation made me suspect a hardware flaw or issue, for example bad electric contact on the motherboard due to poor soldering or something. The unit is out of warranty for a long time so I have a DIY repair option. I searched the forum and found the closed thread Unfortunately, the thread does not provide a solution. I plan to disassemble the unit on this week and re-solder motherboard contacts. Any suggestions to focus attention? Can you share you
As has been described before, this message has appeared when I try to EITHER: Create a new playlist, or even add to the existing ones I have. I am running a Sonos Play:1 and Play:5 on the S1 app.I called and submitted a diagnostic, only to be told that I have the maximum number of playlists allowed (I have 20, and one only has 11 songs in it!!!) and I have to delete some. I had already removed all the imported playlists which came from my iTunes, so when I explained this, the support agent refused to acknowledge this was a ridiculous statement, and stuck to telling me I had to delete playlists. Unable to pass me on to a supervisor, but did escalate my case, if that actually means anything. We shall see. So- has anyone actually found a workaround for this ridiculous issue? The tech support used to be far more helpful, i am sure! Thanks in advance.Robin
I have been grappling with using a Roam on my system. I keep the Roam down in my garage and either use outside while gardening or while working out. However, any access to my Sonos network turns on the roam and eventually drains the battery (as I discover when I next go to use it). The one solution that I thought of is to create separate Sonos network with just the Roam on it BUT S2 provides no way (it seems) to remove from my existing network. Help? Suggestions?
I have a couple of Sonos devices with Alexa built-in for the Living Room, however because not all features are supported yet (drop-in, guard, communications) I also have an Echo Dot in the room too which also seems to be more reliable in terms of understanding my voice. When I ask Alexa something whilst listening to music the volume drops (ducks) on my Sonos devices so that the Echo Dot can hear me - however when the input is TV the volume doesn't duck and it can sometimes be difficult for the Echo Dot to hear me over the TV.If I have the mics turned on with the Alexa-enabled Sonos device the volume does duck, however, due to the reasons above I’d prefer to use my Echo Dot. Is there any chance Sonos can adjust the behaviour with ducking please (or at least give users the option) to support users like me?
Building a new house (layout below). and need to make some decisions. 75-85” TV will go in family room and I was planning on getting a Arc, sub and ceiling speakers will be placed behind sofa for surround sound. I know I will need an Amp for this. I also want to place kitchen ceiling speakers so when I am in the kitchen, I can play the tv sound without having it blast through the entire open floor plan. These speakers will play music occasionally but won’t need to play audio from the tv most of the time. I will also have speakers in the patio for music. That will be a third amp I will need. This seems like a very expensive setup and I’m not an audiophile but with building a new house, I do want flexibility and don’t want to have regrets. Here are my questions: For Family Room, shall I consider the Arc or in wall front architectural speakers? I assume I’ll need a separate Amp for the kitchen ceiling speakers since it’s will be a different zone? How easy will it be to turn off
Hi there,I am a reasonable newby to Sonos and am looking for some advice. Currently own a One, One SL & two Fives. I am reconfiguring my complex entertainment system to simplify so to take advantage of Sonos. I am considering buying an Arc & Sub to replace a Sony sound bar & sub system. I use a smart TV, Apple TV and stream through TV/Sony SB (4 HDMI’s !!) and also use a Mac Mini as a media server for Apple music, Foxtel, Amazon & Plex and web as the TV web GUI is not good.Anyhow, my questions are:Can I use just the 2 fives & One/One SL in conjunction with the Arc and get decent sound or buy a Sub and add to all of above.Any advice appreciatedWith thanksScotty...Down under
Como puedo controlar mi Sonos Amp por voz (Alexa), tengo un Sonos Roam integrado en el sistema.

We keep our Sonos move outside in our backyard. Unfortunate we've discovered that all this time we've been broadcasting from our other Google devices to the whole neighborhood because of this. How can we turn off the broadcast function on this one device without having to disable Google Assistant altogether?
I have some vacation property that has no internet or cell reception. I want to bring some Sonos speakers with me, but I can’t get them to work. Here’s what I’ve done so far:I have a router that has the same WIFI information as my home network so any devices that can connect to my home network can also connect this one. Again, this WIFI has no internet. I was able to get my Sonos speakers to work on my home network when the internet was disabled (with local files only, no streaming services obviously.) I brought a Play 5 to the vacation property, and I confirmed that both my phone and the speaker were connected to the vacation network. The speaker was able to connect to the network either via WIFI or with an ethernet cable. The Sonos app on my phone couldn’t find a Sonos network. Perhaps this was because my home network was tied to a different GPS location? The phone app required Location services to be on, so I couldn’t disable that. I couldn’t create a new Sonos network without an in
Hi,is it possible to use Connect or Connect/Amp to make this happen? Can Gen1 connect to Arc via the app to do this ?thanks
Many radio streams contain album artwork... Sonos just displays a station logo. Why?
Why does my Sonos one keep disconnecting?
I had an S1-only system and recently removed all the S1-only products and upgraded the system to S2 successfully. I’m now setting up a split/separate S1 system with my old components. I plugged an old Play:5 into the router via ethernet and successfully created the S1 system. Then I plugged in my bridge and tried to add it to the system, but the S1 never finds the bridge. The bridge had green blinking light when I pushed connect on the S1 app, then I pushed the button on the bridge and it changed to amber flashing. Eventually the flashing amber went back to flashing green and the app just said it never found the bridge. Any advice? It was working fine before I reset everything to create the S2 system. My bridge is pretty old, see pic. I’m guessing this has something to do with its firmware being reset, but no idea how to deal with that.
I have 2 arc speakers one outside at pool and one in living room. I have an amp with 4 speakers hooked up to it, 2 are surround in living room and 2 are out door at the pool. I have the 4 speakers on a switch so I can change which ones I want to power. will the amp connect to either arc depending on where i want the speakers to play.
I’ve had the Roam for a week now and this has happened three time - the four top controls (play/pause, volume up & down, mic on/off) all don’t do anything after the device comes out of standby. No action, no LED changes, no audio cues indicating recognition of the press. All devices and controllers are up to date. Play/pause, volume, mic on/off all respond via the app. I’ve repeatedly checked the settings to verify that the control setting (System → device → Touch Controls) is enabled. When in the failed state, toggling the Touch Controls or Status Light settings does nothing. When the unit is working properly, those settings take effect immediately. The device has been at 50%+ battery charge. A full reset (which requires using the play/pause button) after the first occurrence did not fix the problem - it cleared on its own overnight while connected to a USB charger. I left it on the wireless charger overnight during the second occurrence, it was still unresponsive the next day. C
Hi all,My ipad and iphone were able to connect without any issues via blue tooth to my Roam. However, my mac seem not to be able to detect the Roam at all. Any fix for that?Already tried rebooting the system on both Roam and my mac (I got two Roams) and none of these worked. Thanks
Up until about a month ago Alexa worked fine. Now she says “Here is your news” or “here is your flash briefing” and then silence, everything else works: smart lights, Spotify, etc. This is on both my Arc and Move. I bought an echo dot to test if it was an Amazon issue or Sonos issue and the dot works as expected (and Sonos used to) by giving the news/flash briefing. I have disabled/re-enabled the skill about 30 times, removed the speakers from the Alexa app and then added them back, removed them from my Amazon account and then added them back, did a factory reset on every 5.1 speaker and the move and then recreated the whole system. NOTHING works. I spent over 4 hours on the phone with 4 different Sonos support people only to get escalated to an engineer who said “we know it’s broken and have no ETA on when it will be fixed” which was INFURIATING. Why is Alexa marked green and working on the status page if it’s known it is broken and why did I waste well over 4 hours of my time with su
Hi there, I’m new to the platform and I don’t know if this question has been asked before. At the moment I'm using a SONOS PORT hooked to my Denon 3313 receiver. I use a coax cable for the connection. The maximum bitrate of the SONOS PORT is set at 16bit/44.1kHz. The Denon receiver, however, has a maximum bitrate of 24bit/192kHz. I would like to know if - by using the coax connection - I can bypass the SONOS PORT's internal DAC and use the Denon's DAC. I guess this is possible. However, will this also enable me to use the higher Denon bitrate of 24bit/192kHz, and thus bypass the SONOS bitate limitation of 16bit/44.1kHz . I'm looking forward to your input and many thanks in advance.
